Video Transcript for Feature Review 1" x 18" Tie-Down Motorcycle Assist Straps (Qty 2)

Today on this ATV and trailer we'll be demonstrating the Snap-Loc E track stainless ratcheting cargo strap. Now this strap does come in two colors, red, part number SLSRS16R, as well as blue, part number SLSRS16B. Now this heavy duty ratcheting cargo strap will safely tie down your gear. A loop at one end serves as a soft tie for bikes and the E track fittings at both ends will attach to any E track anchor point. It's constructed of stainless steel, which will stand up to harsh weather and rain use. Now on our ATV we'll be demonstrating the various ways to tie it down.

Today we'll be using one of the red Snap-Loc stainless ratcheting cargo straps as well as the Snap-Loc hook, part number SLH. We'll also be using the Erickson tie down assist straps, part number 06303. Well begin by taking the assist strap and wrapping it around our handle bar here. Now we want to make sure that we go around the wires that may go up on your handle bars as we dont want to pinch them. Now that we have our assist strap around our handle bars we'll take our red ratcheting cargo strap and using the hook, part number SLH, we'll take the soft loop on the strap and feed it through the hook.

We can then take our hook and attach it to our assist strap where we will move down and attach the E track side of our strap to the E track here on our trailer. We'll then ratchet the strap down securing our ATV to the trailer. Now the convenient hook and loop strap that is attached to our Snap-Loc can be used to wrap up our access strap and store it away. We'll move over here to the passenger side where we'll repeat the same process. Now on the rear of our ATV we'll use another Snap-Loc ratcheting cargo strap, wrap it around the frame and secure it on the other side.

Now with our ATV secured in three points on our trailer we're ready to head out on the road safely. That completes our demonstration of the Snap-Loc E track stainless ratcheting cargo strap with soft tie loop, part numbers SLSRS16B and SLSRS16R. Also using part number SLH, the Snap-Loc hook and part number 06303, the Erickson tie down assist straps, on our ATV and trailer.

  • Recommended Motorcycle/Scooter Carrier With Hitch Receiver For Motorhome
You do not need a bumper to add a hitch and carrier for your scooter. I recommend the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver for RVs, 18" to 51" Wide # C13702 or the # UF35-946403 which adjusts from 47-1/8 to 77 inches. Either of these hitch receivers will mount to your motorhome frame so a bumper is not needed. This can be used with thetrailer Motorcycle Carrier for 2" Hitches - 500 lbs # e98873 for your scooter. I recommend the Motorcycle Soft Loops # 06303 along with the Erickson...

  • Recommended E-Track Mounting on Aluminum Frame Trailer
The Zinc Sheet Metal Screw - 8 x 3/4" Indented Hex Washer Head - Hex Slotted Drive # 31071 are a good choice for your wall studs, but not for your 3/4 inch wood floors. The zinc coating on both the E-track # E19148 and the screws will prevent galvanic corrosion from the dissimilar metals of steel and aluminum. For your floors, I recommend using zinc plated screws along with locknuts to secure your bikes using backing plate # e96RR. You can obtain that hardware from your local hardware...

The B&W Biker Bar Motorcycle Tie-Down Systems we carry are only designed to fit certain models of Harley-Davidson and have not been tested for other bikes like your Kawasaki Vulcans. It is possible they can work with your bikes if they have double tubes but you will need to know a couple of dimensions, the frame tube diameters and the frame width. The B&W Biker Bar Motorcycle Tie-Down System for Trailers - Harley-Davidson Touring # BWMC2301 requires a frame tube diameter of 1-1/8" to...

  • E-Track Spacing Recommendation for Securing a Harley To a Utility Trailer
If you can get your tie down straps around 45 degrees or slightly higher when securing your Harley you would be setup pretty good. This number is more of a guideline than a rule though. Your best bet would be to mock up everything first and then make sure everything would fit properly. Put your bike in the trailer and then determine where they best place to locate the tracks would be. For D-rings to use with the E-track you would want the part # E59143, for backing plates for installing...

  • Using E-Track, Tie-Downs, and Wheel Chocks to Haul 2 Harley Davidson Motorcycles
If I were to haul to Harleys I would make it as safe as possible so a wheel chock would not be a bad idea. Using the E-track is also a good way to go because the track is so versatile. Using a steel plate for support is also the way to go. You have a good grasp on what needs to be done. For a wheel chock, you can use something like # RA-17. It accepts wheels up to 6.5 inches wide. Might I also suggest the motorcycle tie-down assist straps, # 06303. Using these straps on the handle bars...

For your 2012 Toyota Camry, you can use the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 36540 along with the 48" long Curt Cargo Carrier # C18110. This is the best options to allow you to carry your Honda Ruckus moped. I also recommend tie downs # EM05710 and soft loops # 06303.

  • Solution For Carrying Vespa 150 Scooter On Back Of 5th Wheel Travel Trailer
Yes, a hitch-mounted motorcycle carrier would be your best option for carrying your Vespa 150 scooter on your 5th wheel travel trailer. I think the best carrier for you is the Ultra-Fab Dirt Bike Carrier # UF48-979033. This is RV-compatible and has a built-in ramp to allow for easy loading or unloading. Front and rear wheel holders are adjustable to accommodate various sizes of motorcycle or scooter tires. You will need tie-down straps to secure your scooter; I would go with Erickson Motorcycle...

  • How Much E-Track Should be Used to Secure a Harley Davidson Motorcycle in 16 Foot Enclosed Trailer
If you need the track the entire length of the trailer then going with 6 of the 5 foot sections, # E19148, would be the way to go. But if you only need part of the trailer equipped then I would put one track on each side of the bike. When installing the E-track to the trailer floors or walls you will want to use the appropriate hardware for the material you are attaching to. Also it may be necessary to put a backing plate # e96RR on the other side of the floor or wall for extra support....

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver for Mazda 3 to Carry Motorcycle
For your 2014 Mazda 3 GT, there are only Class I trailer hitches available. The Class I trailer hitches are only capable of a 200 lb tongue weight, so you will not be able to use a motorcycle carrier like # UF48-979033 or similar you have pictured. You will need to use a trailer for your sport bike to haul behind your vehicle. My recommendation for your vehicle is to start with the Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 24912. Then use ball mount # 3593 and hitch ball # 19258. Then for your trailer...

  • Best Tie-Down Recommendation for a Pine Wood Floor Flatbed Trailer Carrying Motorcycles
I think installing the Recessed Trailer D-Ring, # RR5K, that you have referenced, would be better than # LRB1, because the backing plate is going to help distribute the load from the ring which would be better for your wood decking and make for stronger connection points. If you use this kit with the backing plate an attachment to the frame is not required as the backing plate, which would be underneath the wood floor, would prevent the hardware from pulling out. • Recommended Motorcycle Carrier Compatible with Coleman Mini Bike
The etrailer Motorcycle Carrier for 2" Hitches # e98873 has a ramp is 39-3/8 inches long, so your Coleman mini bike will be entirely on the ramp for only a split second before your front tire is up on the tray. I have a mini bike like that and this may work to your advantage as the ground clearance on the bike is so small. You will be about 50-100 lbs too heavy for the front hitch and well over 200 lbs more than the limit of the rear mounted RV hitch when you add the weight of a carrier as well. I do recommend getting a steel sheet up to 1/8 inch thick to use as a backing plate to disperse the force applied to the chock over a larger area. It would go on the under side of the deck.
