This half-slider bunk window fits camper vans with a bed platform along the wall. It brings in light and a sliding vent for airflow without cutting a tall window into your sleeping area.
When you build a bed platform along the wall, you lose the height for a standard window. A full-size opening would cut into cabinets or storage. This shorter bunk window fits in that narrow strip of wall above the bed, bringing in light without forcing you to change your layout.
Sleeping in a van without airflow gets stuffy fast. The sliding section lets you crack the window for fresh air while the mesh screen keeps bugs out. The spring-loaded latch holds it in place so it stays where you set it, even when you're driving.
This bunk window sits at eye level from outside, creating a direct view into the sleeping area when parked near others or in public spaces. The 17% gray tint limits how much someone can see inside while still allowing visibility out. It also blocks 83% of UV rays, reducing sun exposure through that section of glass.
This window installs using a clamp ring that sandwiches the van wall between the interior and exterior frame. That means no urethane adhesive cure time and no bonded glass to cut out later. The included hardware and foam tape create the seal around the opening, making it a more straightforward install for DIY builds so you can get airflow at the bed without waiting on long adhesive cure time.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer. Today we're gonna take a look at the Van Windows direct driver's side half slider van bunk window. Now this is a short half slider bunk window. It's built for camper vans that have a bed platform along the wall or a full height window with cut into any cabinetry or structure. This is gonna allow you to bring in light. It slides open for airflow without giving up your sleeping space, and it is compatible with most van conversions and custom builds.
If you notice, has a nice black aluminum frame that'll match your other van trim to give you a factory style exterior look. It does measure 34 inches long, 11 inches tall, has a cutout dimension of 33 inches by 10 inches. Now, when you're sleeping in a van without airflow, it can get stuffy pretty fast. This sliding section again lets you crack the window to get in fresh air while the mesh screen on here helps keep the bugs out. Now also, if you look on the inside, it has two little levers that you can turn.
You can remove that mesh screen if you want to, but again, those levers will hold that mesh screen into place. The spring loaded latch right here is what's gonna hold the window in place, so it'll stay where you set it. So if you only want it open a little bit, it'll stay just like that. Even when you're driving. And again, the spring loaded latch, you'll be able to hear it.
You push it closed, it'll latch into place, locked there, keep anybody from entering, and then just push pull open on it and slide it to what where you want. Now this bunk window's gonna sit at eye level from the outside, creates a direct view into the sleeping area when you're parked near others or in public spaces. This window, if you notice, does have a 17% gray tint on it. This is gonna limit how much someone can see inside while still allowing visibility from the inside to the outside. It will also block 83% of the UV rays, reducing sun exposure through the section of glass.
Now it is a clamp ring installation, creates a nice weather tight seal around the cutout. You can see this back portion will clamp right around there. The clamp ring will sandwich the van wall between the interior and the exterior frame, just like that to secure the window. Now it does include a cutout template, which you can put on your van to cut out the correct size you need, and it includes the screws for installation. Now this item can be installed by an experienced DIYer, but because it involves cutting into your van, we highly recommend using a professional dealer that has the knowledge of window installations. And we do offer an installer locator on our website to help you find a dealer that could do that for you. Also, any other questions regarding this product or any of our products, feel free to reach out to us so we could help you get all of your questions answered for you. But that is gonna do it for a look at this Van Windows direct driver's side half slider van bunk window.
