This magnetic hitch reducer adapts your 2-1/2" receiver for use with 2" hitch accessories. Slides into your reciver and is held in place by 2 strong magnets. Hitch pin and clip or hitch lock sold separately.

I gave away my adapter that had worked perfect for my truck. Later I found that everywhere I went I could not find another sleeve that lined up correctly. This is the lifesaver I was looking for. Works great. Exactly as described and so easy to use. I love the magnets because it stays in place when putting the hitch and ball in. Yes, I highly recommend this hitch receiver reducer sleeve.
This product was exactly what I was looking for! Awesome quality, fitment was perfect and features were gladly welcomed. The oval shaped horizontal pin receiving hole allows for a less exact alignment of the male receiver shaft. The magnetic properties of this sleeve was such a great idea! Really pleased with the outcome!!

After a year being in daily use out in the field this product has performed exactly as it shouldve and has held up nicely. The oval cut out still makes it nice when trying to install the pin after using different hitches or hitch carriers. The magnetic part really keeps the sleeve in place while switching hitches as well. Still thoroughly impressed with this product. Would recommend! ??
The adapter does not fit flush against the hitch because the chrome bumper is about 1/8” over the top of the hitch opening. The adapter still wants to slide a little when I try to put the hitch in, but aligning the locking pin through the hitch and adapter was much easier with the slot in the adapter. Better than the regular square adapter with another hole to match up with the hitch and receiver that slides back snd forth when setting up.
This adapter is perfect! I bought an adapter from another online store, but when it arrived I was forced to cut a section out due to the length. I then found this adapter and with the slotted area for the hitch pin, there was no issue using as designed. Wish I had gone to etrailer to begin with.

This receiver adapter was essential, since our Ram 3500 has a factory 2.5” hitch size. The magnets seem to hold it steady. Everything we own currently takes a 2” receiver. It’s nice that etrailer makes a good product that makes switching hitch size so easy. We haven’t towed with it yet, but looking forward to using it soon.
This adapter is easier to use because the hold it in place when sliding the hitch in. good product.

Product is great except one of the magnets cracked and broke soon after receiving. Still is useable just kinda disappointing.
Works as described. Stays in place and much easier to align the pin when installing the hitch since the hole is oblong. The magnets hold in place. I forgot to reinstall the pin and drove around for over a week; the insert never moved. Worth the money.
This thing is one of the better ideas I've seen out there! Imagine spending $20 on an adapter, only to lose it on the road cause you forgot to remove it after towing. Well, it's not going to happen with this guy! It stays on their nice and strong. The manufacturer will tell you that you shouldn't do that, but if you happen to forget, at least you have a nice backup plan, which are the magnets. It's a great value and the customer service was awesome!

Got us out of a jam while picking up a trialer with only a 2 inch receiver.
I’ve tried other hitch adapters, but this one is different. It has magnets in bottom and a collar that stops it from going too deep into the receiver. It also has a large oblong hole to make it easy to insert the pin. I leave it on the truck all the time.

Great idea, but the outer flange is so big that it won't fit on a Ram 2500 because the upper flange hits the bumper before it goes all the way in.
Hitch receiver sleeve was just as descr ibed
The sleeve will stay in even if you fail to insert the hitch pin. This is a very solid design and does not rattle.

It has been great. Very easy to line up the pin and when I forget to take it off... I have not lost it because the magnet keeps it on.

Great part for my trailer hitch
After receiving the item when to check for fitness and find out the longer side lip facing up was to long and was hitting my bumper so has to cutter down to make it square to fit in after that install my hitch and the pin hole does not go in and out smooth because the adapter has too much play the only thing I like about the product so far is that the magnet are strong to hold it on place

After 8 months the front magnet went out in was had been all broken up other than that it works great
Quality built reducer to step down my 2.5” receiver to 2”.
I like the magnets that hold it in place and extended flange for easy removal.
I looked at various reducers and this fit the bill for me.
From an alignment standpoint, it fits perfectly in the Ford F250 Superduty receiver. The real test will be to see if the reducer sleeve's magnets keeps it aligned with the hitch pin holes with no movement when I insert my 40LB travel trailer hitch and then try to insert the hitch pin. My hope is the magnets are strong enough to allow sliding the travel trailer hitch in and out while the reducer sleeve remains aligned with the hitch pin holes. I will provide a future update on this.

After using this sleeve for a year, I found that the strength of the magnets are sufficient to hold it in place when ing a heavy hitch, Works great! Far superior than any other reducing sleeve I have tried.

Seems like a solid piece. Just put on the truck haven’t towed but there is a lot less play in the hitch. I’m using with a gen y hitch.
Nice design is huge improvement over straight tube adapter. Face plate and tube to rear of receiver will support the hitch better,slotted pin opening for ease of alignment,and magnets to keep it quiet. I’m a fan and haven’t even used it yet!
