You don't have to fight the wheel through wind and passing trucks. This stabilizer keeps your coach tracking straight and gives you more control to handle a blowout (if that happens), so you're not tired at the end of a long day of driving.
You've had tough experiences while driving your rig. You white-knuckled when a semi blasts past and nudged things back on course through heavy winds. It's exhausting. With this stabilizer in place, the coach tracks straight instead of wandering and it cuts down on those constant corrections you have to make. It makes a huge difference when you spend hours on the road. When you stop fighting the wheel, you won't be worn out when you finally park.
A front tire failure is a nightmare scenario everyone dreads because it happens fast and the wheel yanks hard. If you've been through it, you know how helpless it feels when the rig wants to pull out of the lane. That's probably when this stabilizer really matters the most. It helps hold the wheel steady so you can slow down and bring your coach under control. It won't stop a tire from failing, but it can keep that situation from turning into something worse.
This stabilizer bolts on with hand tools and includes the mounting hardware for your vehicle. Once it's mounted, it has to be centered and torqued properly to work. If you're comfortable with those adjustments, you can handle it with some extra time. If not, we can help you find a trusted installer to handle the job. Either way, you only have to do it once, and it stays put.

Made a massive difference in the steering now get very little push from the wind or big trucks, seems expensive for one shock and two brackets but there is a definite difference in the drive. Went from always needing two hands driving to one hand control. Nice product
Just had the safety plus installed on a 2027 Ford E350 and noticed greater tracking down the road on the first drive. Also, the steering is a tad firmer, which adds to the stability. Absolutely, the first suspension upgrade you should make.
The steering stabilizer worked as advertised. I immediately noticed the steering on my 2025 E450 had tightened up as I drove on the streets and highways right after the install. Based on that experience, I anticipate a lot less driver fatigue on my next long distance trip.
After trying out both the Safe-T-Plus and the Roadmaster Exact Center, I can say they both do a great job keeping your motorhome going straight down the road. The main difference is how they feel. The Exact Center reacts fast when you come out of a turn, the wheel snaps back to center quick, kind of like a rubber band. It’s tight and responsive, but it can feel a little jumpy if you’re driving a bigger or top-heavy rig. I like that the Safe-T-Plus has a more relaxed feel. It uses one big gas strut that gives you smooth, even resistance the whole time you’re steering. Instead of snapping back, it just helps you stay straight without fighting the wheel. It kind of feels like driving a luxury SUV instead of a motorhome.
I was impressed by how simple the install was after watching two installs. The stabilizer bolts to the sway-bar bracket and clamps around the tie rod with U-bolts. If you’ve got some basic tools and a little time, you can do it right in your driveway.
If you’re trying to decide between the two, here’s the best way to think about it: the Exact Center is great if you want quick response and tight steering, especially on smaller rigs or twisty roads. The Safe-T-Plus, on the other hand, is best if you want smooth control on big rigs or windy highway drives.
Simple to install. I replaced the front sway bar at the same time, since the safe t plus bracket installs under the hellwig sway bar mount. Dialing it in was easy. I found a deserted road and drove very straight, stopped and held the wheel until the key was out thus locking everything straight. Loosened up the u bolts, the spring relaxed and then retightened and torque to spec. Safe t plus claims you should be able to drive .5 mile with no hands on wheel. I made about .4 mile. It works great. It takes a little more to turn the wheel, but the comes right back to center.
Install was pretty straightforward, and can be done in a driveway or garage on the ground. It's not overly complicated as far as getting it in place and the adjustment to get it dialed in perfect is easier (in my opinion) than the roadmaster, and not hard to do. I would give it a 5/10 difficulty with that rating being slightly high just because you will be under the RV and it can get tight.
We have a 31 foot coach with the 2024 Ford E450 chassis. The original equipment was wholly inadequate so we replaced the steering stabilizer with what I thought would alleviate the wild ride we were having when we were passed by a semi truck. It didn’t. Now we had the wild ride, plus it was constantly pulling to the left. I was constantly steering to the right to go straight.
The good folks at etrailer installed the Saf-T-Plus on our coach and it’s a whole new experience. No more fighting the wheel. I feel confident that we will go down the road without any more wild rides!
Also, the experience with etrailer was first rate before, during and after the installation.
Two test drives, some adjustments, all seem great. I can’t wait until the next trip. The video was helpful on installation and the entire team was there when I needed them.

When and where is the next trip planned for, John??

Made a significant difference in handling. Steering is more firm, has reduced wander and cut back on pushing from passing trucks and windy conditions. Was easy install, took a couple of adjustments to get it perfectly centered. On install, be aware that the bolts holding the sway bar that need to be removed are very, very tight. Not easily removed with just hand tools, I had to use a heavy duty impact wrench to loosen them. Did the install in my driveway, would have loved to have a lift like in the excellent etrailer video. ;c)
Order came very quickly and well packaged, arriving in perfect condition. All in all, an excellent product and super service from etrailer. Highly recommend!!!
Made a significant difference In handing and blow back from cars n trucks.
Only have 4 miles on it but it seems gr eat
