To flat tow your 2001 Hummer H1, you are going to need a few components.
First thing you'll need is a base plate for your toad vehicle. For your 2001 H1, we have the Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit # 2501-2, however, you will also need the Replacement Quick Disconnect Crossbar Assembly for Roadmaster Motorhome Mounted Tow Bars # 910021-00 to be able to use tow bars.
Next, you'll need a set of tow bars. I recommend the Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar w/ LED Lights # RM-676. This tow bar is, non-binding which will allow you to release anywhere at any time. Also, this bar does have integrated LED lights so you can disconnect and hook-up your tow bar in the dark.
Following a set of tow bars, you're going to need a braking system. I recommend the Brake Buddy Select 3 # HM39524. This is a proportional braking system, that is lightweight and portable allowing for the possibility of transferability.
Continuing, you're going to need a a wiring kit. For your 2001 H1, I recommend the Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit # RM-154.
Finally, you may need a high-low adapter like # RM-048-4. This is needed because typically RV's sit much higher than standard passenger vehicle's, and in order to keep your tow bars in the correct operating height, a high-low adapter is needed to fix the height gap.
