Will Hopkins Backup camera Fit 2004 Land Rover Discovery II and Work with Camera Ready Stereo
Question:
2 questions before I purchase: 1. Vehicle is 2004 Land Rover Discovery II with license plate offset to the left of the rear door and exterior spare tire on right of the rear door. Will this product work in that type of misalignment? And the spare does project farther off of the rear door than where the license plate is mounted. 2. My radio is camera ready make/model is Jensen VX7010. Can this product connect to the radio camera input in lieu of another monitor?

The Hopkins backup camera # HM50002 has a decent field of view so the offset license plate on your 2004 Land Rover Discovery II would not be too much of an issue. One possible solution though would be to use some washers so that the left side sticks out a little more than the right effectively angling the camera more towards the center of the vehicle.
I don't anticipate the spare tire being an issue; especially if you keep the camera pointed straight back. But other option that would solve both issues is to mount it right between those D-rings on the back of the vehicle.
This camera system has a plug style unique to it so it would not work directly with your stereo. The wiring from the camera to the harness that plugs into the monitor would have to be adapted to work with the type of inputs on the stereo and I cannot say how well that it would perform.
