I went out to the warehouse and found that the mounting holes are 4-1/4" apart on center for the Mounting Kit for Malone Watersport Carriers # MAL28RR.
Are you using this for a Malone carrier, or something else?

Hi Jon. Thank you. I hope to be using them to attach older Kayak J-Bars to aero crossbars. The existing bottom brace was built to accommodate square or tubular crossbars. I'll measure the existing bolt spacing tonight.
