I am trying to install brake control on my 2005 GMC 1500 pickup, have the complete plugin cord, however I am unable to plug the into the truck plug due to wires in the plug. What so I need to due to complete installation of control unit. Thank for

Hey Paul,
The port for your brake controller would be right under the dash on the left of the side of the driver's side. There's going to be a cover you'll need to remove to gain access to these ports. I've attached a video where Joe will show you how to find this port and where to plug in your harness # 3015-P.
If you're saying that there's already something in that port then it's likely that someone else had a different brake controller installed at some time and you can just trace the wire harness to confirm and remove it to put the new harness in. Once plugged into the vehicle you can then plug it into the brake controller and mount it to the dash.
