Will the Lockrack Adjustable Watersport Carrier Work With Scott Prospector Fishing Kayak

Hi What is the distance between the top of the brackets when the rack is set at its maximum width and the brackets are also set at the maximum opening width... I have a scott prospector canoe with a 36inch wide by 12inch deep gunwale...so need the full ~36inch opening distance at the top of the angled brackets

I reached out to Lockrack on your behalf about the Lockrack Adjustable Watersport Carrier part # 339-LRUNISETX and they stated they just actually released a new version of this carrier for fishing kayaks with the deeper hulls so instead I recommend using the Lockrack Adjustable Watersport Carrier with XL Arms part # LR54FR which they said would work with a Scott Prospector.
