Can Brophy D-Ring Tie Down Anchor # RR05 Be Welded To Steel Floor Of Trailer
Updated 07/26/2017 | Published 07/24/2017 >
Question:
I have a Big Tex 70DM trailer and need to add more d-rings. There are four on there now and they appear to be similar to part # RR05. The existing rings are welded to the steel deck. Can I weld these to deck instead of bolting? Thanks,

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Brophy D-Ring Tie Down Anchor # RR05 can be bolted or welded.
The # RR05 has a zinc plating so it takes a specific type welding and ventilation when welding. I recommend checking with a certified welding professional to discuss how these should be welded o the floor of your trailer.
