I was wondering if i could get a diagram for the mounting bracket that connects to the truck and to the grille guard

The Replacement Mounting Kit Sportsman Grille Guard # 40-201PK that you referenced is designed to fit the Westin Sportsman Grille Guard # 40-2015, black powder coated steel and polished stainless steel. Both of these guards are confirmed to fit your 2006 Ford F-150. Based on the installation instructions for these grille guards, the guard will attached to the truck in 2 places. I have attached a photo from the installation instructions of the upper brackets and lower brackets that will be needed for installation.
I have attached the installation instructions for both of these grille guards for you. Their instructions, as well as the installation video I linked, should help you install your # 40-2015 guard on your 2006 Ford F-150.
