second one I've owned, one on a Isuzu Rodeo, the other on a Buick Envision. Fits vehicle well and easily removed for going through car wash, etc. Be aware, newer Trek Verve Lowstep bike is difficult to secure because it doesn't have a horizontal tube that would normally be secured in the hanger gizmos. Doesn't mean it won't work, but you need to be creative in setting the bike frame onto the carrier, and suggest that the Verve frame go on first, even if it is the lighter of the two, and a bike with top tube frame go on last, to block the Verve frame from falling off if the tiedowns fail or the frame slips from the carrier when vehicle passes over a speedbump.

I own a 2005 Jeep Wrangler X with 31x10.5x15 oversized tires and wheels. I installed B6196001 HighRock 4x4 Oversize Tire Carrier by Bestop to carry larger spare tire. I needed a bike carrier that would carry our two crusier bikes and clear my spare tire. After measuring, I ordered: -> S64650 - Swagman 2-bike carrier -> 80300 - 7" Hitch Adapter 2" to 1-1/4" Trailer Hitch Receiver -> RM-061 - Roadmaster Quiet Hitch for 2" Trailer Hitches Our order arrived very quickly, etrailer.com upgraded the shipping. All these products arrived well packaged and without damage. In 15 minutes I had every thing assembled, installed on my Jeep and bikes loaded. The bike carrier is very well constructed, finish is excellent and easy to adjust. When adjusting wheel loops and loading bikes, make sure you pay attention to bike pedal position. I chose this extension because I did not want to use the adapter that comes with the bike carrier, I wanted as few parts as possible to keep rattles to a minimum and gives me more options for towing. The anti-rattle bolt/pin firmly secures the bike carrier to the extension and the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch keeps the extension adapter from rattling in the receiver. Road tested approximately 25 miles over rough city roads ( including railroad tracks ), county roads and highway. Bikes traveled very well without any rattles. I can remove my complete setup quickly, fold and put in rear of Jeep if desired. I am very well pleased with my purchase. Thule Passage 3 Bike Carrier - Trunk Mount
Way too light duty for what is advertised. It seemed to be made out of 1/2 inch electrical conduit. I would never put three bikes on that rack. I only had two bikes on the rack. While on trip through Idaho the wind was so strong that one of the bikes partially blew off the rack. We traveled 1,800 miles and upon arriving home I actually sawed the bike rack up and threw it away so that no one else would use it and cause an accident. I've already found a different brand that is HEAVY DUTY and I will stick with that brand.
2010 Chevrolet HHRThe side / bottom straps are seriously lacking. It has those straps you would find on a backpack, making it difficult to securely tighten down because of the angle. I'd usually have to pre-tighten them to a certain length, then forcefully shove the whole rack until it clipped onto my car. They really just need to be ratchet straps. Even then, one of the side straps came off while driving after hitting a small pothole and the whole thing dangled to one side - Luckily I was in a parking lot. I've also never been able to fit 3 regular bikes, only 2. It's really only a capacity of 3 if you have 2-3 slim bikes. The rubber is so wide that it makes it nearly impossible to slide certain bikes on. If you have a step thru bike with one of those crossbar adapters, I wouldn't even bother with trying this. Unfortunately I don't use this anymore since I'd be constantly worrying the whole thing will come off whenever I drive.

Kuat Beta Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" Hitches - Tilting
The quality of the bike rack was excellent, but I was unable to use it because I couldn't open and close my trunk (Honda Accord 2012) when the bike rack was closed. It may have worked if I had a different trailer hitch, but I didn't want to spend the extra money on a new trailer hitch. Unfortunately, I will need to return the bike rack.
Works perfectly, intaller said it fit 2019 Hyundai Ioniq like it was custom made. Used for local trips, plus annual vacation from Pa. to Florida, zero issues. The wife is able to install and remove with little effort...but can leave on the car with no hatchback interference.

Hollywood Racks Trail Rider Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
I looked at a LOT of bike racks, but when I saw the product video for this Hollywood rack and it was holding the bikes rock solid, no loose bouncing anywhere, I decided to try it and I haven't been disappointed yet. It is solid in the mount, it holds the bikes securely and the locking bars are a good deterrent to anyone wanting a quick steal. I don't leave mine on the car all the time, but so far in the weather here in Florida, it's holding up nicely. Add all this to the great price and customer service from etrailer.com and it's a big win for the average consumer. Thanks, etrailer!
This is an excellent, well-constructed bike rack. For much less money than other racks, it is rugged and easy to use. The locking mechanisms work well, but are also optional. I appreciate this feature as I often ride in rural areas and don't need to lock the bikes down to the rack during transport, so this makes loading and unloading that much easier. Very happy with this.

Saris Bones 2 Bike Rack - Trunk Mount - Adjustable Arms
So far really great! I love the stability my bike has on the rack, fit for my 2021 Honda Civic, and the quality of the material engineered into the design to prevent damage to the cars paint/parts.
Very easy to put on and take off of car. Holds bike secure (I have yet to put 2 bikes on it but I'm sure it would be fine). I replaced my hitch mount bike rack with this. So glad. Now I don't have to have a bike rack on the car all the time and can access my hatch back easily when I am not carrying a bike.

Swagman Upright Bike Rack for 1 Bike - Roof Rack Crossbars - Frame Mount
Great product for the price. Pretty easy to set up. Only issue I have is my mountain bike, which is an XL frame with 27 inch wheels, is pushing the limits of the base. Wish this rack was just 4-5 inches longer that way you have the perfect overlap amount in the middle without pushing the current frame to the limits. With that said it does hold my bike just have to find the sweet spot. But this fits my son’s youth bike perfectly!
As always with products I buy from e-Trailer, this item is exactly as advertised and works perfectly. Easy assembly, I bought 2 but only installed one until I check the fit with my rooftop carrier.

Curt 2 Bike Platform Rack - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount - Tilting
I installed this rack onto a Curt trailer hitch which is mounted onto a 2017 Honda Fit. I have been using it intermittently for several months, probably about 5 times with one bike and twice with two bikes. I give some pros and cons below and then elaborate. Pros: easy to assemble, easy to mount and dismount bikes, easy to lock and unlock, how to put the rack into different positions is intuitive Cons: inconvenient to put the rack into different positions, inconvenient to mount the rack onto the hitch, rack protrudes about 15 inches from bumper when in flipped up position (seems very vulnerable to someone backing into it in a parking lot, very inelegant looking I say the repositioning is intuitive because there is really only one way you could possibly place the pins for each position. But removing and replacing two pins is much less convenient than turning a knob or a lever, like some racks do. Also many racks fold and flip in such a way as to look very unobtrusive when in non-use mode. This one looks like kind of a monstrosity. That does not really bother me but it might bother some owners. The part that does bother me is how far it protrudes from the car. I back into parking spaces whenever possible to avoid someone bumping into the rack and damaging it (which happened to a friend). My number one suggestion for Curt is related to mounting the rack onto the hitch. Make it easier to tell when the holes are lined up so that the bolt/pin will fit and thread. As it is now, if you insert the rack as far as it can go it is way too far in. Ideally, it would be exactly lined up. Failing that, maybe some kind of click or other feedback to know at least that you are in the neighborhood. It would also be great to have an attaching device that is easier to fasten and unfasten than is the bolt/pin. Tip for mounting the rack onto the hitch: I assumed that it would be awkward to hold, what is it 46 pounds?, while trying to line up the rack probe with the receiver. If you have a garage with exposed collar ties, my solution could work well for you. I looped a cargo strap over a collar tie. Then I hooked both hooks of a bungie onto that loop. The idea is that you hook one of the bike frame holders of the rack onto the bungie, suspending the rack a few inches off the garage floor. This takes most of the weight of the rack so that you can just pull up or down and forward until you line up with the receiver. Tip for mounting bikes. Don't put the little screw into the post that prevents you from completely removing the bike frame holders. Remove both holders. Position the first bike, slide the holder into place, position the second bike, slide the holder into place. I found this makes it much easier, because you avoid parts of the bike hitting the holder as you are trying to get the wheels into place. The trick is that if you are mounting only one bike, don't forget to put the second holder back on - or maybe just stick it inside the car right away.
Have used mine several times in the past 2 years on the back of a ‘21 Honda Pilot and a ‘19 Ram 1500 Classic. I really like that the platform will tilt downward allowing the Pilot rear hatch to open with no interference. The tailgate on the Ram doesnt open fully even with the platform tilted downward, but that is a Ram problem & not a Curt problem. Was well worth the money.

Saris Bones 3 Bike Rack - Trunk Mount - Adjustable Arms
WOW... Outstanding product, well-engineered, quality materials, easy to install, works as advertised, and a perfect fit to my 2016 KIA Forte5. Not cheap... but, you get what you pay for... can't imagine a better bike rack out there. Great bike rack!
The Saris Bones-3 bike carrier is very solid and also configurable. It fit both my Subaru Forrester (mid-size SUV) and Honda Accord (sedan with trunk) well. Installation was pretty straightforward -- though read the clips to understand which goes where. The bike weight, in both cases, rested mostly on the rear bumper. I have used it for both 1 and 2 bikes, and found each incident of mounting the bikes went smoothly and that they were quite well secured. There appeared to be no swaying or bouncing of the bike mount, even on some pretty rough roads. You will want to have a strap to secure the front wheel of at least the first bicycle on the rack (not included with the Saris mount, I used the recommended Softride Velcro Tie-downs).

Yakima HoldUp Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" Hitches - Wheel Mount

I just installed this on Friday and we used it for a short trip to the bike shop. So far, it is not bad. I had to laugh; Yakima applied their logo upside-down! I read the directions at least 3x to be sure I didn't have them reversed...I did it right. The directions also show a logo on both, upper & lower rack. I guess they wanted to save some $$ ? Assembly was easy with just three steps. The hitch has a lock to lock it to the car, which is great, but the cover won't stay on. It takes 2 hands, one to hold the lock in place and the other to try to put the cover over the lock. It just pops off the second you release pressure. I will try again in warmer weather, then tape it on so hopefully it will mold to the lock and eventually stay put without the tape. I am not convinced of the stability of the bikes, really. Going over bumps they do shake. For safety, we are going to add straps from the luggage rack and through the bikes, just in case. I really like the cable locks to secure the bikes to the rack. With our old rack there really wasn't a way to lock the bikes to the rack, and I always worried when we were traveling and stopped for food.

Today in our 2015 Honda Accord, we're going to take a look at the Thule Raceway Pro Two-Bike Rack Trunk Mount. Part number is TH9001PRO. We have a bike on our rack, and we have the rack hooked to our vehicle, just going to show a few things about it. How we have our bike strapped down, we have a total of three straps, we have two up top, and we have one to the side which we call an anti-sway strap, so we going to take off the two up top first, we going to take off our anti-sway strap. When you're loading your bike, you do anti-sway strap first, then the two up top. Let's go ahead and take off our bike, we going to set it off to the side. Now it's always a good idea to go ahead and make sure you put your straps back in place so they don't get lost or damaged, so we're going to do that first.

Today on our 2013 Honda Accord we're going to be doing a test fit on the Swagman Titan. This is a folding and tilting 4-bike rack. They've designed it so we can use it with 1-1/4" or 2" hitches. The part number on it is S63410. Today on our Accord we've got a class one hitch, and when using a class one hitch with the Titan or any other 4-bike rack for that matter, you will be limited to a 2-bike capacity, so please keep that in mind. To begin our test fit we're just going to slide the shank of the Titan right into the receiver tube of our hitch. We then want to line up our threaded hole with our hitch pinhole.

Today on our 2012 Honda Accord, well be test fitting the Yakima QuickBack 2-Bike Trunk Mounted Bike Rack, part #Y02621. Weve already preassembled our bike rack and test fit it on the deck lid to ensure its correct fit according to the instructions for the bike rack. Were ready to fit it to the vehicle.Well simply place the bike rack on the deck lid, ensuring that the flat end of the pads are face down. Well then hook the two top straps to the deck lid between the rear window and the deck lid itself. Well pull them slightly tight just to hold the bike rack in place. Well then move to the side and bottom straps, where well hook them in the appropriate locations, the side here right above the taillight and the bottom down here at the bottom of the trunk between the deck lid and the bumper itself.
RockyMounts TieRod Roof Bike Rack Review - 2012 Honda Accord
Today on our 2012 Honda Accord, well be test fitting the RockyMounts TieRod Roof Mounted Bike Carrier, part #RKY1014. Now, to begin our test fit, our vehicle is already equipped with a roof rack system. Well place our bike rack on top of the roof rack, making sure that the head of the bike rack is directly over the front crossbar. Well also need to make sure that the rubber-coated steel straps are underneath the front crossbar. We can then bring them around, and after removing the cover from the head of the bike rack, well clip them into place. Well then move to the rear crossbar, where well put the clamp from the bike rack around the rear crossbar and secure it using the wing nuts included with the bike rack.
