Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this CURT trailer end cold weather seven-way RV-style connector. Now, if you live somewhere with intense cold, you know firsthand that dealing with a cracked cable is very inconvenient. This 10-foot long cold weather, seven-way, RV-style trailer end cable can keep you from having to replace your seven-way blade connector every year or so. This is going to remain flexible in cold weather, due to the casing, that's constructed out of soft thermoplastic elastomer.
It is rated for temperatures from negative 40 degrees Fahrenheit all the way up to 221 degrees Fahrenheit. And this is interchangeable with other seven-way RV blade connectors. And this is going to connect your tail lights, your brake lights, reverse lights, turn signals, brakes, and auxiliary power. As you can see, this is coated by color to match RV standard wiring for an easy installation. And again, the length of this cable is 10 feet long.
But I think that's gonna wrap up our real quick look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
Simple color coded wiring should have been easy installation, right !
Wired up first time by color, nothing worked. Had to cut it off start again, appears the plug did not line up with my “ color coded “ connection’s. So…..pull out the voltmeter and do a continuity test on all the circuits. Figured out what wires go where, temporarily wired them up and everything worked as expected. Soldered & shrink wrapped all connections.
Love the soft cord on this Curt 7 way plug that’s only good thing I can say.
Most other companies would have sent a replacement cord and not asked for a return of the one that wasn’t working but etrailer did.
Thank you !
Garry
The product looks good. I will have to rewire the plug because it’s a RV. I needed SAE but they don’t carry it. And besides USPS sending the package all over eastern side of the country. Everything is good.
Everything about it is as advertised, wired it up and everything works as it should hopefully in 6 months when weather turns cold again it remains flexible as advertised.
I had to change the wiring terminations due to this plug and cord being different from both my trucks, but after changing wiring connections to match my truck's plug receptacle's, all new trailer lighting worked perfectly
My flatbed trailer came with one of these cables. It is of excellent quality, I am replacing the cable on our camp trailer with this one.

As you can see in the article I've linked for you, there are two different wire color codes.
