Free up space on your trailer with this spare tire carrier. It mounts on your trailer's angle-iron railing with the included thread-locking bolt, so there's no drilling required. Sturdy powder coated steel is corrosion resistant.

Specs:
This spare tire carrier lets you clear up space on your trailer for more gear.
It bolts to your trailer's angle-iron railing with no drilling required. It includes hardware to bolt the carrier to your trailer and to secure your spare tire to the carrier.
The carrier installs quickly and easily. Place the angle-iron bracket on the interior of the rail. Slide the spare tire bracket into the angle-iron bracket and bolt them together using the thread-locking bolt. Use the remaining 2 bolts to secure your spare tire to the carrier.

Had an issue with the bolts and bracket for the wheel mount. The square part of the bolt that goes into the slot is too short and or the rectangle squared hole that those bolts go through is too big…. Very hard too tighten with the wheel on, keeps spinning.. Ended up getting New bolts with a better head for the holes. Maybe make just square holes for the carriage bolts instead of a slot. My bolt is on the left in picture, yours on the right.

Still holding on! Tire shakes while driving but I feel its from the angle iron frame its mounted to. Looking to stabilize it
I am concerned that the rail will flex and that the pinch washer will fail to hold the unit and wheel to the trailer. I am researching a method of supporting the weight allowing the mounting unit to simply hold the wheel to the trailer.

Eugene, I appreciate you sharing that concern, that’s a good thing to be thinking about with a setup like this. The carrier is designed to clamp securely to the frame, but depending on the weight of the tire and the thickness of the rail, it’s understandable to want a little extra peace of mind. Adding additional support like you’re considering can definitely help take some load off the mounting point. If you’d like, we’d be happy to take a closer look at your specific setup and help you come up with a solid solution. I can reach out the guys that developed this product.
Great spare tire bracket! My trailers angle iron was a little larger than any of the pictures provided, but I drilled a hole into the trailer to make it that much more durable. Very happy with this product and looks super clean too!
I used the holder on my Carvana 5x8,which has 12"tire. It fit and hold the tire securely. The only thing I'd change is the bottom bolt with the washer that provides a friction fit. I'd rather have a rectangular type bracket that had more surface area, which would provider greater hold strength. Other that that, it works for what I need. It would also be nice if all mounting hardware was same as the lugnut. The bolts that actually hold my little tire, I cut short, so I don't need to carry deep well sockets with me.
Thanks for a great product.

The delivery was fast and accurate. The install was very simple. Instructions were clear although I believe the bracket is made for 2 x 2 angle. Mine was 3 x 2 angle so I had to drill a hole in the angle iron for the second bolt to go through all in all very simple to install looks like a very quality product and very happy with the communication and service from E trailer

Thanks for the great feedback John. Glad to hear the delivery, install, and overall experience went smoothly. Good callout on the bracket fitment too. That is helpful for anyone mounting to a different size angle. Sounds like a quick drill made it work without much trouble. I hope you never have to use your spare tire =)
Easy to install. Fits well on angle iron trailer frame. You might want to change the carriage bolt to fine thread. This will allow for a wheel locks to fit and lock the spare tire (1/2 x20) I'm trying to find some.
Work great with my 13 inch tires and fit perfect on the trailer

Awesome. Pulled the trailer across the country and back. I had no problems.
This spare tire mount was easy to install, amd keeps the tire from rubbing on the trailer frame. After a couple trips gave it an extra tighten and its been holding strong! Love this mount!Highly recommend!
Nut sizes on 19mm lugs that hold spare tire should have been the same size as a standard lug nut. If I had a flat on my trailer, I would need two different wrench sizes to change out my tire. One for spare and one to remove existing trailer tire, lug wrench
Perfect tire mount for trailer with angle iron 5 stars!
Made very well, fit without any problems. Would buy again.

Still on the trailer, working real good. Thank you, John.
This is a solid piece of equipment. It mounted perfectly on my 5X8 tilt trailer. I attached it in front of the passenger side tire well, as close to the fender as possible, without actually touching it. This was because if I attached it nearer to the front of the trailer, the weight of the 13 inch spare tire would have interfered with the tilt. Now it will still tilt and stay in place (barely)... No actual need for torque wrench. Just tighten the main bolt on the angle rail until you see the lock washer flatten and become even with the bolt
IU do not think this would hoild a 100lb tire very long on a bumpy road, my tires only 50lbs and it wiggles to much
Easy to add to the trailer even without the instructions which if I didn't know squat, would be very beneficial. Works well for my application.
Seems sturdy. May tack weld it just to make sure. The reason for four stars, not five, are the two bolts that hold the wheel. They cannot be secured in place so you're left trying to hold the spare tire with a knee and one arm while trying to feed two out of position bolts through the holes in your wheel. They are carriage bolts, so then you need to hold them on the slot while you tighten the nuts. Doable in your shop with an impact and a deep socket but on the side of the road??
I liked how easy the installation was. I will wait to evaluate it later when I test it out on the road.
Great fit good upgrade for trailer. Delivery was fast and service was impressive
I believe the product is of above-average quality and design. I had one small problem installing the spare tire; it wanted to fall off before I could get the nut(s) on to help keep it in place. Not sure where the washer with the lip was to be placed, behind the hanger, in front of the bolt head, or in front of that piece in front of the nut. But I did manage, even if I misplaced the washer.
I will have a better feel for its usefulness when I need to change a loaded trailer.
Was looking for a spare tire holder for my trailer all the other ones wouldn't work on a angle iron so I looked up what was the best and this one pops up ordered it and received it in less time the was estimated. Simple to install on the trailer and works great !! Thanks etrailer!!
When I was tightening the mount one of the 2 holding arms came off. They are welded but not very good. It says to tighten the nut to 60 foot pounds so I got out my trusty Snap On torque wrench and set it to 60 foot pounds. It never got to 60 before one of the holding arms fell off. Don't know if this was a one off defect or just poor manufacturing. What will happen while it is bouncing up and down the road?

Ideal spare tire carrier for a utility trailer with angle iron side rails. Easy installation and adjustable for any bolt pattern rim.

The only thing I would say is that I added a piece of 2 by 4 between the uprights on the trailer to eliminate the vibration for the cantilever design of the bracket. Problem solved.
The spare tire mount was a breeze to install and fit perfectly onto my angle iron trailer side. Everything worked as promised. Very happy with my purchase and would recommend this product to anyone with an angle iron trailer.
Seems sturdy but I didn't trust just the washer holding it on so I drilled a hole through the angle and cracked an out in an extra bolt with lock washer. I saw others had done the same thing
Perfect for our need.

Hi Pete, thank you for your feedback. I recommend making sure you are using the thread locker and torquing the m12 bolt down to 50 foot lbs.
