Hi everyone. Steve here with etrailer. Today we're taking a look at the Patriot Hitches two-inch adjustable drop hitch adapter. This is going to give you 11 inches of riser drop and a 10,000 pound rated black accent. So what do I mean by that Obviously the whole thing is glossy black powder coat, but the pins themselves are also black powder coat with the clips. And that being said, I got to be honest, they we inchesre a little tough to get on the first time right out of the box, but once you get it on a couple times on and off, it kind of scrapes off just a little bit of that to make it fit smooth.
So just keep that in mind whenever you first get them. That can be a little tight to get on. Now this is going to fit, of course, your standard two-inch by two-inch receiver, this two-inch by two-inch shank, and I got from the back up to where they welded this gusset five and three quarter inches. So make sure you have the clearance to hit, you know, so you're not hitting this when you put it in to work with yours. And then also two and a half inches center of the pin hole here to the back is what I got.
So make sure you have those adjustments. What I find is really neat is you have a bolt here and here. That's going to be a nice anti-rattle. So once you get everything to the right height you need, you just tighten that up, take away any kind of bouncing or jarring and everything. And obviously, you'd pull the pins out here and here to then raise or lower this as needed and then replace the pins once you got it to the correct height that you want.
So really nice, again, 10 inches rise or drop. So again, you can flip it over depending on what your needs are and use it in the rise or drop application. Again, 10,000 pounds rated, 1,000 pounds of tonne weight. This is a great option when you have a maybe lifted truck or something of that nature or the height difference is off by a whole lot. Again, you have 11 inches of play, up or down, rise or drop.

I love this hitch height adjustment because I am attaching an e-Bike carrier and the buke weighs about 250 pounds. This hitch allows me to keep the bike at a lower level and I can better handle it plus I have greater peace of mind. The bike already fell from a higher height, and it was scary and more difficult pushing up that high. Thank you for this product. It appears to be very well built.
