Features:
Note: Tie-down anchors must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the anchors being used. For example, if you are using anchors with a WLL of 100 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 400 lbs, then you need at least 4 anchors to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use anchors in pairs.

Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the Erickson E-Track Tie Down Ring, offering a 2000 pound safe working load limit, the part number is 59147.This tie down ring from Erickson is designed to give you tons of different options to get this installed at any point along your E-Track that you decide to. Whether that's going to be on the wall or on the floor it's a very sturdy ring. Offers a 2000 pound safe working load limit.Basically, comparing that to some of the other strap types with D rings and stuff, it's one of the strongest out there and available. Goes right up to the safe working load limit of your E-Track, which is also 2000 pounds. It's very easy to connect these. Not a lot of hassle associated with it. You can see the nice wide release there, that's going to be different than what you see on other ones, too.
Typically, it's just a little thin piece, but we'll press down, slide that up on the track, tilt the bottom in, and then just let it go down. You can see that gives us a nice, secure, connection point where it can easily connect either a rope, if we want to lash something down, or one of our Cam Buckle Straps, or ratchet straps, the hooks will easily connect for us.Here's a good example of one of the many ways people use a ring such as this. Basically, we're going to strap down our UTV. Of course, we'll want to do it on al four tires. We've got one of our rings behind the tire now.
We'll place one in the front side here. That will allow us to bring our strap hook down to make that connection, and then it's just a matter of tightening our strap up.Now, the standard ring isn't your only option when it comes to connection points for your E-Track. They are also going to have the polyester web style strap, this one's from Erickson, this one's from Titan. These are going to offer a D ring on the end, so you have a little bit larger area, I suppose, to where you can get connected. They're going to work with your straps, or with rope, just the same.
These offer a little bit more flexibility in angle then what we get with the ring. The area in which it connects to the trailer is a little bit different, you don't have that nice wide tab that we talk about, this goes back to the narrower tab that we discussed. The weight capacities on these are not as high as what you get out of the steel ring type. Another thing I would caution you on, with this style connector, if you're going to be pulling downward on it, you'll notice it's going to bunch up down there in the bottom, and you're going to have unnecessary stress on that top portion of the strap. You're not going to have it on the bottom, so it's not going to be as evenly distributed.I definitely think if you want to pull down, or at an angle, the ring here is a much better option to get that job done. That's going to complete our look at the Erickson E-Track Tie Down Ring, part number 59147.
