Solid brackets, will suit my application well. Bottom notch is a bit too wide front-to-back, so they sag when installed in the E-track. This was solved by epoxying a piece of 1/8" aluminum bar stock in the notch. Attached shelf using my own screws, as the screws provided were a bit too light-duty for my needs.

I set up a sturdy shelf with the shelf brackets with some cut to size Aluminum sheet metal and am able to carry 3 Jerry Gas cans quite ably off my E Bracket bolted to a perimeter Aluminum frame - all mounted on the back of my camper. Allows extended range in long hauls off road in the Mexico Desert.

To loose shelves where tilted down close to 10 degree angle. Ended up welding spacers on bottom so would sit flat.

  • Can You Build a Bed With the Erickson Vertical E-Tracks and Move It Up and Down
    It is indeed possible to build a bed using the Erickson Vertical E-Tracks like part # E19146 for example. In order to do so you will need some brackets like the CargoSmart Shelf Brackets part # 3481726 or CargoSmart Board Holder part # 348892 and some lumber. That said, you would not be able to move the bed up and down as a whole. If you did not attach the bed to the bracket then you could so in only a few pieces but since the bed would be pinned between the tracks you couldn't lift it...

    The Brophy Utility Shelf for E-Track - 18" Wide x 10" Deep - Black # ETLSB is not rated for a certain weight, so I wouldn't trust it for your 52 lbs when traveling. Instead I recommend using the CargoSmart Shelf Brackets for E-Track or X-Track Systems - 12" Deep - 1,000 lbs - Qty 2 # 3481726 which are sturdy brackets to make a shelf compatible.     It sounds like to me that you are wanting to attach shelves to the e-tracks in your box truck.     I recommend installing the CargoSmart Horizontal or Vertical X-Track # 3481788 to be able to utilize the CargoSmart Shelf Brackets # 3481726. You will not be able to turn the brackets sideways to install a shelf. The mounts do not have the strength to hold a shelf in that orientation.
