Replacement Lid for MaxxAir MaxxFan Deluxe - White
I needed to replace the original lid because, if the bushings are not well greased upon initial installation, the arms that raise and lower the lid and screen will eventually rip the lid hinges right out, breaking the lid cover, allowing rain in your vehicle. I have two of these units and while one has been flawless, the other broke, causing me to believe the installer makes the difference. When you receive the Maxx Fan Deluxe, the lid and exterior unit are fully assembled. You connect the interior portion with the exterior. When replacing a lid, you have to access the hinge screws on the previously assembled exterior unit. These screwheads face the top of the vehicle with, depending on install, an inch or less of access room. So lid will need to be open for smaller hinge access and then exterior unit removed from vehicle to access the larger hinge screws, as well as remove/regrease bushings. It is not simply access the hinges for a clean swap. You will likely want to replace the bushings while at it and re-grease the tracks. The bushings should not cost $13 a piece, that is ridiculous, but mine fell off when the unit cracked the lid and had been miss placed. You will also need to open and close the lid while re-assembling so it isn't a one man job, at least not conveniently and simply. Otherwise, the lid is an exact replacement of what you originally received. etrailer has been easy enough to work with although interaction has been minimal. I like that they want reviews and make it easy to leave.
Fits just as it should. And etailer.com shipped it even faster than they said they would!

Ventline Vanair Trailer Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan - 6-1/4" Diameter - Smoke
Fan arrived quickly and was an exact replacement for our Hail storm damaged unit. Thanks eTrailer!
Our hunt club has 2 pit blinds that are used for waterfowl hunting. Each blind is essentially a concrete box with walls, floor and top 4 inches thick and dimensions of 12'x5'x5'. Each blind is buried to a depth of 5 foot to where the top is flush with ground level. Access is through the top using 24 inch wide manhole lids that are made of high density plastic. The cooler air inside of the blinds clashing with warmer air absorbed by the concrete and manhole lids at ground level caused condensation that made the inside damp and smelly. We only hunt 3 months each year, so needed a vent solution for the other 9 months the blinds were not in use. We also needed something that could be powered by DC voltage from a solar panel due to the remote location. In July 2015 we installed each fan into a manhole cover and used water-tight conduit and electrical boxes to run the wiring from the solar panel to each fan. Great solution! Once enough daylight hits the solar panel the fan blades start moving and run constantly until sundown. Will see how long these things last but so far so good

MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan, Thermostat, and Remote - Powered Lift - 10 Speed - Smoke
Product was excellent and the installation videos on the website were invaluable!
Bought this to replace original bath fan (Maxxair) when the raising mechanism broke. I ordered it from etrailer on a Wednesday, and it was delivered on Friday....super fast delivery. Easy install, and I think we will really like it's features (i.e. 10 speed reversible fan, rain proof cover).

MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan - Manual Lift - 4 Speed - White
Excellent, powerful fan & my second Maxx Fan purchase in total. Consistently great products. Shipping box was damaged & there were some smudges on the top of the fan, but... it's not like anyone is going to be looking at the top of it anyway & nothing inside was damaged, so all's well that ends well. Definitely a fan of the white top over the more popular "smoke" color for a smidge less heat absorbtion. Also glad that the manual fans continue to be offered as the remote-capable alternatives hardly seem worth the upcharge in situations where the fan is within reach.
After many months of fretting over cutting into the roof of my new van, and waiting for the rainy season to end, I found the installation very easy, and the operation is great. We're currently on a road trip, and the MaxxAir has made camping much more comfortable, and it even improves air circulation while driving with the vent open. it's very quiet at low speed and no leaks in even the heaviest rain.
