Best Truck Snow Plows

I've had this plow for over a year and still haven't had the opportunity to use it yet ( No Snow ) , assembly was easy enough for one person, like the wheels on the blade had to drill out the holes a little to get the pins to go in , and the stand in the back had to be cut off to keep it from hitting the back of the bumper and not going all the way down. Other than a few minor modifications seems well built.

Great plow, easy to use and reasonably priced. However, do not go with the DK2 plow lights. Nobody seems to know what wire harness kit you need for your truck and DK2 will not help you. Thank goodness the rest of the plow is quality or you probably wouldn't get an answer from them just like they never returned multiple emails or calls regarding a wire harness for their plow light attachments. I like the plow but cannot back the company for lack of supporting their products and consumers.

I love my Summit II Plow. I have it on a 2000 Jeep Wrangler. I was unsure if my Jeep could handle this size plow, but it handles it very well. With my Jeep I can plow my driveway easier than a pickup with the short vehicle/wheelbase turning and maneuvering in small places. Installation was pretty easy with the custom mounting brackets. The only problem I had was the shoes being too short. I replaced them with Item # 3371303002 at etrailer and they work fine. I live in Minnesota where we get plenty of snow and this sure beats plowing with an ATV which I used before I bought this plow.

I bought this K2RAMP8219 snow plow to take care of small properties in my neighborhood. Had a mechanic install the electrical under the hood and I put together the parts as described in the instructions. Everything seemed fine. Hooked up the plow to the vehicle and it lifted fine and lowered fine. Soon as we got our first small snowfall I try to plow my back driveway and it wasn't enough snow to see how will the plow worked so I tried to remove the plow from the hitch and couldn't get the plow off. I tried moving the vehicle to all sorts of areas on my driveway and still would not unhook. Had to Dremel the plow bracket of the hitch . Then tried to get it back on and it wouldn't go back on. Called technical support and told them of this problem and they sent a new hitch and that didn't work either. Now the snow plow sits in my backyard and can't do anything with it.

We purchased the DK2 Rampage II snowplow in Nov.2015, and started using it in Oct. 2016. Now it's been a little over a year, and the snow plow stopped working. After careful inspection, we found out the winch installed in the plow is an used+defective one (inside screws and rubber washer are not in place). It would be great if all parts are new and without defect. What's worse, we tried to call the 1-800 on the instruction manual for ordering a replacement part, but never got any human being to answer the phone after trying for a week. Finally we found the phone # of the seller - etrailer from my old email folder. It would be more convenient if you could have placed your phone # on the manual so that customers can easily contact you in case of any problem. Thank you for listening.

Great easy plow to use. The hardware that came in was missing a couple nuts and bolts. Had to run to the hardware store a couple times to get the proper bolts and nuts. The plow doesn't come assembled. So expect a good evening to build this unit. First two years was great and the scraping was good. Back dragging slacks but again a lot of plows do that. So it's not terrible but does enough. Just leaves 1/4 of snow behind. But pushing snow forward works and scrapes nice on asphalt or concrete. The battery that came with the kit for the wireless controller didn't last 1 month. So be prepared to upgrade that. But it's been now on my 3rd year, one of the springs failed on it and currently searching for the replacement. The plow itself has a one year warranty so of course it's past due now. Overall it works and it's nice. Wish I had bought the power left and right but the manual lever works too. Also the side markers prematurely failed too so I had to buy meyer yellow ones from fleet farm. Cost another $xx. But I will update this as time goes.

It has been working very well as we have actually had a decent amount of snow so far this year. took a little longer than I thought it would to assemble and mount it but after it was on it works great and looks good.

Decent plow for the price. I installed this DK2 Avalanche on a 2003 GMC Yukon 1500 with a Curt front receiver hitch 31302. If you have a side mount battery, you may need battery bolt extenders (Battery Doctor #30400) to make life easier. That said, the ring terminal connectors on the winch control box will be too small. Get ones that will fit the 3/8 inch stud and 12-10 AWG wire to replace the stock ones. Manufacturer instructions are not very helpful, but Graz's Garage has a great install video on YouTube. He installed his on a 2020 Chevy Colorado Z71. You can always count on a gearhead from Detroit. eTrailer is awesome at responding to concerns, too, and I'm glad I bought this product from them.

My plow was delivered quickly. It took a bit longer to assemble than I thought it would, but it seems pretty heavy duty and looks and works great for my 600' long driveway. It's much better and quicker than plowing with my 4 wheeler and warmer too.

Product and price we're good. Instructions could have been better with better pictures. Good product

Expensive, only one bolt hole lines up on my F150. Had to use squarish hole in the forward facing tang. Took some wrangling. Had to mount plow before tightening bolts to keep alignment. So I ask how custom is this. It works though and the plow is great.

Works great. Better to have two points of push than the one hitch for some.

I bought a DK2 storm snowplow from a whole sale warehouse on line almost 4 weeks ago they sent the plow without any mounting kit that they promised me ..I won't mention there name ...got the plow in couple weeks put it together waiting on the mounts called them 3 times..giving me the run around all this time still not knowing if or when they are shipping Got feed up waiting ..found your site on line called to make sure i get the right mount to fit your sales rep was very helpful made sure i had the right one..that was monday afternoon ..today i recevied them its Wednesday 10 am Went out installed them soon as i got them..they fit like a glove no drilling or grinding Very very happy with your team at etrailer Thank you so much!

The mounting bracket for our company's 2011 GMC Sierra is very solid and sturdy. We had some issues with fit & clearance initially that had to do with the bumper and plastic facia for the grill opening, but once we figured that out, the mounting bracket bolted to the truck frame very solidly and has held up well with the snow plow equipment mounted.

I would just note that being directed to supplier to obtain a part number lead to some confusion and initially receiving the incorrect part, but in the end we were able to return the part to you for a refund minus shipping and through trial and error obtain the correct part and happy to report was successfully installed. Love the plow. Only downside is the outside bottom corners have bent backwards while plowing. I will have to straighten and reinforce those areas. I plow six different driveways. I was using a 4whlr plow for these before and it would take me several hours to all day, with this plow its less than 4hrs including driving time and I have vehicle heat. I've had many people looking, commenting and asking about this hitch system. I recommend it and give them the etrailer site for information and purchasing advice. This system is very impressive. This plow does not stand up to much use. I used it for my long gravel driveway and I was dissapointed in the durability of the plow. The plow bent near the cutting edge and twisted when I accidentally bumped into a rock when turning around. This plow is for light use only and it does not back drag snow well since it is light and does not have any down pressure.

I purchased a SnowBear Proshovel Snowplow and a 2" Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver for my 2001 Ford Explorer Sport Trac. The front mount hitch receiver was a breeze to mount to my vehicle. Literally 15 minutes from start to finish. When the SnowBear plow arrived I was a little apprehensive, as it came in 3 separate boxes and some assembly was required. The directions included were phenomenal, easy to understand and took you through complete assembly step by step. This has been a wonderful experience and I could not be happier.
