Best Truck BOLT Locks

I love my bolt lock. I had traveled from the Midwest to the East Coast and I didn't worry at all about losing my wheelchair or bracket. Quality product. Especially loved the fact it is unique to my car key. I definitely would buy this again.

I have multiples of these for locking various cables and hitches to my vehicle. It is the best thing since sliced bread. It keeps my key bring down to just a couple of keys instead of 7 or 8 different lock keys for various locks. You can also pick them up in a shackle style lock as well.

This lock traveled 27,000 miles in the elements of the open road, back trails, and numerous boat launches over the last year; I absolutely love the ability to set it to my vehicle key, it’s held up really good, and works every time. Definitely recommend!

My second one, my first was keyed to a different truck that was totaled by a bear. Very reliable product and simple way to lock your receiver to your vehicle.

I have owned several of these locks on several different trucks. Unfortunately for me I’ve had to give them away when I traded them in being I couldn’t keep the key to unlock it. I could’ve kept a key but that wouldn’t be honest so I just gave them away after explaining how they worked to the purchaser. I can say that they are the best hitch locks made and they aren’t something you want to attempt to try and cut off! I really enjoyed watching a guy who broke his key inside the lock when he was drunk and angry he worked on it for hours and had no luck cutting it off. I suggested he call a locksmith and his drunk mentality overload his common sense abilities. He made my night just laughing at his stupidity even the next day. Locks are worth the money. I have two on my Gen Y 16k drop hitch.

This is a great product. Easy to key and use. The one knock is that it can’t be re-keyed. If you had a mail in service to do that it would be great. My vehicle was totaled and I had to buy a new one so that’s what made me think of it. Otherwise, I get great piece of mind that my trailer or bike rack is secure.

Great Theft Preventer. needs towing vehicle ignition key to open. Hitches are not cheap to replace if stolen

I’m so happy with my 2018 Toyota trailer hitch lock. It was easy to program and I was able to install the trailer hitch plug and lock it in. It’s great not to have an extra key or remember a combination. I also ordered a heavy duty hitch to use with any type of trailer.

Thank you I have problems with speech language what's going to happen when I drove a tractor trailer and I had at trauma brain injury it's hard for me to say the words as long as I can drive.

Good lock, i like the matching key thing, but the lock is solid and appears to be tougher for a theif to beat it.

Works great. Combined it with a padlock and trailer tongue lock. One key for all my locks for our travel tr.

This works great and the fact I don't need another key for it is a huge bonus.

I've been using this lock for about a year. Its serving its purpose. For the few times I did have to remove my hitch (70lbs). It is easy. Put the ignition key in, turn and pull off the locking cylinder wah-la the hitch is ready for removal. I'm so glad I made the switch. The added features of rubber wrapped cylinder with dust cap and no bump cylinder is great. Nomore carrying around extra keys which is always a plus!

I bought 3 and all have lasted a year. All 3 are very difficult to close. Like very difficult. They unlock just fine.

Received my bolt padlock the other day. I just ordered 3 more and the hitch pin lock also. Easy to program good quality locks. will keep them in the truck for when I need them. mike

Works well but thought pin a bit long but maybe ok when combined with this complete tongue lock when parked. Again nice that it works with my Toyota tailgate key.

Super easy to key lock to my Ram key. Trying to eliminate as many keys as I can. As you can see in the picture, I also got the matching BOLT receiver lock. No weather cover as on their other locks, but it has a sliding internal cover similar to your car/truck door lock. Solid and beautifully finished.

Got my Bolt trailer coupler lock this afternoon. It was a lot easier than I thought to key. I got it on the trailer already.Great product!!

using this on my trailer ball hitch. Shaft is not to big and the length of the shaft is good. Easy to set up with my truck key.

It's a great, quality lock. Spends most of its time on the back of my trailer keeping my ramps where I left them. Opens easily with my truck key.

These are nice locks. 2 Years in and the lock mechanisms still operate smoothly. Use these for hitch lock, toy hauler ramp door locks, receiver pin lock, and cable lock for my surge protector. It's very nice having all the locks keyed the same. And since it's keyed to my towing vehicle key I never have to worry about forgetting the keys. I always have the right key when pulling with my truck!

I have used the Bolt lock system for about 3 years. I ordered the first ones directly from the manufacturer. I have the padlocks and a j bolt for securing our TT hitch. I needed more padlocks and found they were now available through distributors. I chose to use etrailer because they have an excellent reputation for a large inventory and especially service. I really like the Bolt system because I can key them to my truck key and the quality of the products.

I purchased a receiver lock and 3 coupler locks made by Bolt. I have a habit of forgetting to lock the coupler to the ball and driving off with the lock and keys on the bumper. This has happened twice causing me to lose both my first set and spare set of keys. I learned of Bolt locks and their ability to be keyed with your vehicle door/ignition key. I received my locks today and the easy to follow instructions had me insert my truck key and turn it clockwise till it stopped. I now have 4 locks matched to my ignition key, so no more leaving the key on the bumper. The receiver loch snaps onto the hitch pin without the key, but the coupler lock needs the key in for locking (just what I needed). These locks aren't inexpensive, but e-trailer had the best price I found. Another good deal from e-trailer.

It's nice to have just one key for all the locks connected with my boat trailer and spare tire.

What a slick setup. Lock and pin all in a line and rubber cover over keyhole. Since it uses my Toyota tailgate key it is easier than fumbling for yet another key to get ready to hook up a trailer.

I love BOLT locks, the only locks I use for trailering. I have the padlocks for trailer doors; then I also use hitch and coupler pin locks from BOLT. I truly value using my truck key for locks rather than having 3+ sets of keys for individual sets of locks! Marking this a 4 (vs. 5) star because the padlocks can be a bit finicky when trying to close them; this is nothing Earth-shattering, but there is always room for improvement.

These locks are very good and well built locks, the feature that lets me key my vehicle"s ignition key to to the locks is really a great feature. Only draw back to me is that if I sale my vehicle the locks cannot be keyed to a new vehicle..

I dont know how theft proof these are, but I like them for the matching key and the appearance of a lock thats complicated for an amped up theif to defeat!

Like most boat owners, I have a multitude of keys to keep up with for my trailer and boat - boat ignition, boat cabin, boat storage compartments, trailer coupler lock, trailer coupler latch, trailer receiver lock, etc. The Bolt lock allows me to match my car's ignition key to the trailer coupler latch which means I have one less key to deal with - something I definitely appreciate. Just be sure you order the right lock for your style car key - once they are coded they cannot be uncoded.

The product did not fit my 05 Chevy Colorado as described on the website. No biggy it happens. But when I had to pay shipping to return the product after having many conversations with E-trailer.. Well that just shows a lot about this company and its customer service. They were very friendly though.

I bought this lock to keep a Little Giant Ladder unstolen in my truck bed. After a year of weather and some attempts by low tech stealers, my ladder remains unstolen. Also the lock is keyed the same as my taco truck key, so I always have the right key. The lock is well made, hefty, and durable. I recommend this lock.

All three items I ordered - are exactly what I expected (padlock, hitch receiver lock, and coil cable lock).
