Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2"
The hitch receiver came in a sturdy oversized box containing no padding to secure the hitch, possibly explaining the two large holes in the box. There was no immediately visible damage to the hitch but when I measured the distance between the mounting flanges at the forward and rear corresponding edges there was about 1/2 inch difference, suggesting that they were bent presumably during shipping. Fortunately, I was able to mount it to my 2018 RAV4 Hybrid Limited without the need to bend anything. The installation went pretty smoothly except for some fiddling to disconnect the muffler hanger, and I broke two of the plastic fittings that hold a plastic panel in place over the driver side mounting area. I replaced the plastic fittings with some bolts and nuts so no worries. This was a 1-man install job which I accomplished by using a floor jack to raise the hitch into position. Shipping was super fast! I received it the day after I ordered it. All in all I think I will be really happy with this purchase.
I choose etrailer based on great prior reviews, price, and vast selections. While watching a few of their YouTube videos that were very specific and informative in how to install my hitch, I felt confident in their product and customer service quality. I choose standard shipping and it was I received it that week. Very fast! Upon inspection I was surprised how mint condition it was I say that because it there wasn’t really much protection in the box protecting the hitch. I’ve worked for a major shipping company and boxes are thrown around in transport, especially when it comes off the main truck and hits the warehouse conveyor belt system. It’s not malicious, it’s just part of how it’s done. That being said, there wasn’t a mark on it. Great powder coat all around. Came with all well made hardware and directions That were easy to follow. I actually was able to install it myself in less than 30 min. Don’t pay to have someone install it. Just ask a neighbor or a family member to help. All you really need help with or just someone to hold one side up when you lift it in in mine I was even able to just balance it with one of my legs while I have the other side because it wasn’t a huge hitch. Really impressed with it and very happy and would definitely order from them again

This is a nice, heavy duty hitch. Probably heavier duty than the 2011 Rav4 I put it on, but I like the 2" size reciever for the flexibility. You can always adapt down, but going up can be tricky. It was about a 20 minute install with about 40 minuets of up and down looking for a tool. Mine dod not have the bolt on muffler hanger the instructions referenced, but that was just a couple of bolts I didn't have to worry about. One trick I have learned with installing hitches on the ground by yourself is to use a jack to hold it up and in place while you start the bolts. The other is to run the bolts into the holes before you get the hitch into position. If the hole wasn't use, it ca be full of grit and road grime and it is a lot easier to deal with it before you have an 80 pound hitch hovering over you head. As always, eTrailer was a great source. I think this is the seventh hitch I have bought and installed from them over the years. I still the they need to include an "I got hitched at eTrailer" bumper sticker with every purchase, but I suppose solid service and affordable pricing is good enough.
The vertical plate on the passenger side was visibly bent, maybe from weld - hard to say. This made the holes for mounting the hitch to the car frame too tight by about an 1/8". I had to auger all 4 holes out with a Dremel cutting wheel and then repaint. This made the installation quite a bit more difficult and time consuming. The hitch is on and works fine but it didn't need to be this hard. The first image is the bent passenger's side plate (the part coming off the round tubing and running up to where the hitch bolts to the car frame). The second shows the straight driver's side plate. Two images of the resulting misaligned holes. I removed about an 1/8" of metal from the outsides of all 4 holes which juuustt barely allowed me to get all four bolts threaded. One other note: This hitch went on a 2017 Toyota Rav 4. 3 of the 4 threaded frame holes were unusable: rust and corrosion made threading the bolts impossible. I had to purchase a 12mm x 1.25 tap and clean out the threads first. The one good set of threads had a pre-existing bolt in it which kept those threads clean. The other three were open to the elements and didn't fare so well. They were fine after using the tap to clean them out.

I ordered the 1 1/4 inch (C12108) hitch to install on my 2016 Toyota RAV4. I chose the 1 1/4 inch because it will be used exclusively for a bike rack. My hitch was shipped the same day I ordered it! Installation was straightforward and the holes lined up perfectly. I could not be more satisfied with etrailer or the hitch and would happily do business with them again.
Excellent product. We did have to ream 2 holes just a bit. Other then that it was a very easy install. And we were able to install it without dropping the muffler off its hanger.

This is the 2nd time I've purchased a hitch from etrailer.com and has been an excellent experience. Joshua reached out to me to see if I wanted to swap out a similar product that is currently in stock and shipped immediately. Received the products quickly and the instruction videos made my DIY project a cinch. I will definitely continue to shop hear when in need of trailer supplies.
High quality material with rust-resistant coating/paint. Perfect fit for my vehicle. Reasonable price, free shipping and very fast service. Website well organized, easy to find what I was looking for. Fantastic experience!

etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Matte Black Finish - Class III - 2"
Very nicely built all the bolts and washers fit perfectly, without the hitch installed. While trying to mount the hitch, one side (the driver's) was slightly off by a millimeter. It was as if the whole side of the hitch had been bent or welded at an angle. Currently a tiny bit of dremelling and filing (on the thinner end ) will fix it. The other side is already pressed against the tub for the 3rd row seats/ cargo area.
Excellent quality except for one small problem. The distance between the attachment flanges was about 1/4" narrower at the rear of the flanges than at the front (car front) of the flanges. This made getting all four bolts installed more interesting than it should have been.

So far, so very good! I bought this for a 2004 Toyota Rav4. My 21 year old F-350 is rusting away and I wanted an alternate means for occasional, light duty hauling. The hitch receiver arrived on time and was carefully packaged for shipment. Metal is hefty. Joints and welds look good. Had I unwrapped it before installation, I would have found the M12-1.25 bolts and studded washers which were stuffed inside the receiver proper. I also bought the wiring harness. I'm a newbie and was rather anxious about prying the plastic body panels open for wire routing. Careful review of the video accompanying the written installation instructions suggested starting at the top and working down. It was straightforward. Only glitch was that the wire bridging the driver and passenger sides was too tight for comfort. I spliced in an additional 8" and the system was working minutes later. About an hour, altogether. If I do it again, it'll be 30 minutes or less If you are considering an installation, please do review the instructions and video linked from the product page.
I placed an order of five items with etrailer.com. The one Trailer Hitch (Item: 75125) and four Square Drop Leg Stabilizer Jacks - 18" Travel (Item: SJ-R208). I had an email in my inbox from etrailer.com practically before I was finished placing the order. In three days I had a nicely packed box with everything I ordered delivered to my address. ALL of the items I ordered are beautifully made and of high quality. I watched the video on the Trailer Hitch installation which stated an approx. 30 minute installation time. If my torque wrench had not mysteriously disappeared, I would have been finished with the install in 15 minutes. Since I had to drive to our local Advanced Auto Supply and use one of their "lend for free" torque wrenches, It actually did take the full 30 minutes to install. FIVE STARS TO YOU ALL at etrailer.com. You've got my business for sure.

Installation of the hitch took me 20 minutes by myself. Would have been faster, but couldn't find my socket extension. I used a swivel on my socket so I didn't have to release the muffler. The hitch mounted up to the factory holes just as the "how to" video said they would. Mine were nice and clean so no extra prep was needed.
I had my mechanic do the install along with the wiring harness on my 2009 Rav 4 Limited, told him about the great How To videos that etrailer has and he said it was super easy! It looks great and I can’t wait to use it. Buying my trailer this weekend!! My only concern is did I get the correct size for the small 4X8 open bed trailer??

EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2"
Ecohitch receiver arrived with no packaging on it, and parts kit shrink wrapped to it. Loses a star for ZERO protection during shipping. Receiver itself fit perfectly on a 2023 Rav4 Hybrid Woodland Edition. Used a dremel to cut the bumper fascia as directed in the instructions. Removed (3) Rearmost exhaust hangers and hung the exhaust from a ratchet strap. I’d recommend starting on the driver’s side when bolting up, as passenger side is tight. The whole process took me about 2 hours working solo. A (recommended) second installer would make the job go a lot faster. I have to go back and touch-up some paint, and the install is done. Finished install looks good. No complaints.
I just finished the hitch receiver installation on my new '24 RAV4 Hybrid LE AWD. I was able to do this by myself in an hour. I neither raised the vehicle nor lowered the exhaust. I guided the receiver wings above the exhaust, then used a hydraulic jack to raise the hitch receiver slowly as I steered the wings into position for the bolts. Prior to this, I checked the threads in all four places with a bolt to insure they weren't damaged. Torquing the driver side bolts to 70 ft/lbs was not a problem, but the passenger side is pretty restricted. I'm waiting on a 3/4" thin crowsfoot socket to torque that side. I didn't trim the bumper.

EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2"
I had the ECO-Hitch installed by my Toyota dealer on my brand new 2018 Rav4. The instructions that were sent with the hitch were poorly written and the pictures were basically black with some yellow highlights in them. Impossible to see what the picture was. There was so much confusion about what needed to be done to the 2018 to get the hitch in place. Out of all the confusion and my insistence that the hitch be hidden and no damage be done to the bumper it was finally done...it was hidden and a hole had to be cut into the bumper for the receiver. Better and more specific instructions for 2018 Rav4 would have been good. It took 4 hours to finally install it . Was happy with the hitch itself and looks good now.
Perfect fit. Installed alone, which made it a bit harder, but directions were perfect.

Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class II - 1-1/4"
Just finished the install on my 2023 Rav 4 hybrid, looks great, I think I'm glad it went with it over Curt but I'm sure they're comparable. I installed it myself as a 43 year old guy with little mechanical experience, in my driveway with no lift or ramps, and while it's doable it's not for everyone. I would suggest a partner. Whether you have help or not, start by getting the jack out of your trunk if you have one and, once your rack is in position (guiding the wings around your exhaust on both sides is where a helper would really be handy), center the jack under the hitch to give it some height on a pivot while you get the bolts lined up. If you have extreme trouble with one particular bolt as I did, you may also find it handy to then move the jack to that end and lift it so as to align the hole in the hitch over your weldnut without having to rely on one arm's strength while you're fumbling with the bolt and turning a wrench with the other. Honestly if I had it to do over I'd probably take it down to a shop and pay them to throw it on. There are some out there that probably wouldn't even charge you, especially if you're a regular.
came right away and have great instructions and video to show. verify my SUV and guarantee that it will fit.

Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class II - 1-1/4"
Packaging a bit beat up when it arrived, however, no damage to the hitch and all bits and pieces were there. Approximately one hour to unpack, set up and do solo install. Definitely would have been easier to install with a second set of arms (muscle).
Very pleased with the 1-1/4" Curt Hitch receiver I bought for my Toyota RAV4. Arrived in perfect shape & I took it to a local shop that was recommended by etrailer. Dealing with etrailer.com to buy the hitch & the quality of the hitch is excellent and the local shop (Dom's Gulf service in Pittsburgh) installed it for a great price and did an excellent job!

The fit is perfect and I like the way it is hidden behind the rear bumper!
Good fit on the Toyota Rav4. Took a bit of creative trimming of molding to get it into correct position and it works great.

The hitch arrived with paint popping off the metal in multiple spots. The metal work seemed fine but probably was not cleaned well before painting.
The hitch arrived quickly, and installation was straightforward. The only issue I found was some paint chipping off as soon as I got it out of the box, but that won’t affect the utility. The customer service is fantastic, and I would definitely recommend etrailer to my friends in the future.

Love the hidden hitch for my 2009 Rav4. Looks so much more polished. Knocking a point off since my mechanic said it was missing bolts. Use for the hitch is for bike rack only.
First hitch received was bent, package wasn't in very good shape. I contacted etrailer and they suggested I try to straighten it, but it was bent by over 2" on one side and I questioned trying to do this. They shipped another one, and also sent a return label for the bent one to be returned. The second hitch came in an undamaged box and was a perfect fit as one would expect for a premium hitch. All ends well with no additional charge, but I had to wait another week to get the second hitch - good thing I had some time for this.

This was installed on a 2016 highlander le plus. As advertised it fits perfectly and looks great. As a DIY-er, I was able to successfully install this hitch alone and make the correct cuts in under an hour. The hitch weights about 50lbs and once you set it into position (with help from jack stands), the screws go right in. It really is as simple as the video available online. Highly suggest this hitch. If negative things happens I will post a follow-up review. I don't expect it. Worth the price!
was an easy install for my Highlander with all I needed included. A bit awkward to install but that was expected with just my two 65+ year old hands!

Well made, well finished and heavy duty product! If you are even halfway handy, you can install this yourself. Like anything, fitting is exact.
Product was all there but arrived with shipping damage. Might want to think about how to keep the heavy items from moving in the shipping carton or protect the outside edges with cardboard or something. I'll touch up the paint but wanted to give some feedback, you guys seem pretty receptive to input. Other than that there was good communication through the whole process. Fast service. Thank you.

You need to trim the rear splashguard but the instructions tell you how. You will need to be able to pop out the plastic panel fittings, and if any of them break, you will need some replacements for 10mm holes
I installed this trailer hitch on my 2018 Toyota Sienna. It is very well-built, and fit perfectly. Customer service was very responsive when I had some questions, and responded right away, both by phone and email. The instructions were very good, but could benefit from additional information regarding cutting the car’s rear trim panel. In addition to the cut that needs to be made for the trailer hitch bolting plate to go through on the driver’s side , it also needs to be cut around the main bar / receiver area. Instead of cutting a big slot for the main bar, I cut out around the receiver plates, and put drain holes in the ends that would otherwise collect water. One shortcut that I found was that I was able to move the exhaust out of the way far enough by just removing the rearmost hanger, rather than removing the two hangers as shown in the video.

Perfect fit and super simple installation (45 mins from opening box to torquing last bolt). Perfect for my bike rack and other attachments. Incredibly secure!Bought from etrailer 3x never dissapointed ?? Excellent instructions + customer service
We have a 2014 PriusV and needed a trailer hitch for towing a 15 foot sailboat we recently bought. Problem was, Toyota recommends not towing with the PriusV. An Internet search revealed there were a few companies that had light weight hitches available specifically designed for the Prius models. After reading reviews, we decided on etrailers.com due to hitch design, hitch accessories (i.e., draw bar and wiring), price, free shipping, and supposedly easy installation in 30 minutes. I called etrailer.com to ask a question and the agent told me that if I ordered the hitch package I needed at the time of my call (Monday) I would have the parts in hand by Friday so I placed my order. Parts arrived as expected. What a pleasant surprise, product quality surpassed my expectations! Being a technical person I found all the directions remarkably well written with excellent supporting drawings and photos. I installed the hitch by myself in roughly 15 minutes. Installing the wiring took a little more time due more disassembly of panels to channel wiring as well as some simple assembly needed on wiring. The entire process took less than an hour and looks professionally installed. I'm very happy with the overall experience and highly recommend etrailer.com for all your hitch needs.

Ordering was a breeze. Delivery was quick. Installation went smoothly. Couldn’t be happier. I bought the unit for carrying bicycles so did not bother with the wiring harness.
Great so far. Recieved hitch but haven't installed it yet. But the product looks very well made and no damage from shipping.

Perfect high quality Hitch was selected. The testimonials with pictures/videos was excellent and helped me with my decision. Received the hitch in 3 days. The installer that etrailer recommended (TowPro, Duluth, GA) did a first class job at a reasonable price. Start to finish a great experience.
Wanted this hitch for bike rack only - no towing anticipated. Easy to remove existing bolts and discard. New (supplied) bolts effective. Only thing negative is corrugated box got banged up which means the product suffered minor scratching. Entire process took 2 of us 25 minutes. If you are trying to do this by yourself you'll need a jack stand. Shimmying the box for one side is - maybe - effective, but I would not recommend... all in all good product and value. Hitch is pretty heavy... all good. A big + was install video. Helpful

Hi there, Jesse here with etrailer. Today we'll be taking a look at and I'll show you how to install the etrailer Class III Hitch on our 2025 Toyota RAV4. The RAV4 is a super popular car. It's got a lot of storage space inside of it, but sometimes you just need a little bit more, and adding a hitch really opens that door for you. With the hitch, you can add on extra storage to the rear of the vehicle, whether it be a bike rack or a cargo carrier, or you can even do some light-duty towing with it. Here's a closer look at our hitch.

Hi, Jesse here with etrailer. Today, we'll be taking a look at and I'll show you how to install the Draw-Tite class three custom-fit hitch on our 2025 Toyota RAV4. The RAV4 is a super popular car and it already has quite a bit of storage space, but sometimes you just need a little bit more, and adding on a hitch to the back of the vehicle really opens that up for you. You can add extra storage to the rear of the vehicle, whether it be a cargo carrier or a bike rack, and you can even do some light-duty towing with it. Here's a closer look at our hitch. As you can see, the cross tubes are hidden behind the fascia, so all you'll be seeing is the semi-gloss black paint finish and your two-inch-by-two-inch receiver opening.

Installing the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver on a 2024 Toyota RAV4
Hi, Jesse with etrailer. Today, we'll be taking a look at and I'll show you how to install the CURT Class 2 hitch on our 2024 Toyota RAV4. Adding a hitch to the back of a smaller SUV like the RAV4 makes a ton of sense. It's gonna give you the ability to add on more storage to the rear of the vehicle, whether it be through a cargo carrier, a bike rack, or even some light-duty towing. Most of the time here at the shop, we'll recommend a full two-inch hitch on a car like the RAV4. However, our neighbor today, he already has an existing bike rack that will fit right into this inch and a quarter receiver, and that's what they're planning on using this for.

Setting up the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver on a 2024 Toyota RAV4
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. And today, we're taking a look and installing the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver on a 2024 Toyota RAV4. This is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed on your RAV4, and for the most part it's pretty well a hitting cross tube. So really the only thing that you're gonna see behind the vehicle unless you're really down low is gonna be the receiver tube opening. So you get a really nice clean look overall and all the usability of your hitch. And this being a two inch by two inch means that you're gonna have a ton of accessories.
How to Set Up Your Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver on a 2024 Toyota RAV4
Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver on a 2024 Toyota RAV4. Now, this one in particular is going to be an inch-and-a-quarter receiver tube opening. This is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed on your RAV4. And the great part about this is going to be a hidden cross tube, which means you're getting all the usability of the receiver tube opening with the rest of the hitch being hidden behind the fascia. So you get a nice clean look, but still, again, usability. Now, being an inch-and-a-quarter receiver tube opening does make it a little bit trickier when it comes to accessories as far as bike racks, cargo carriers, and ball mounts.
Mount: Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver on a 2024 Toyota RAV4
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver on a 2024 Toyota RAV4. Now this one is going to be a two inch hitch, which is gonna be a great option for a ton of different accessories or a ball mount if you plan on towing a trailer. This is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed on your RAV4. And this is a hidden cross tube design, which is really nice because good majority of the hitch is hidden behind the rear fascia leaving only the receiver tube opening and safety chain loops visible so you get all the usability of a hitch with really not taking away from the aesthetic of the vehicle. Now being that it is two inch by two inch means that you're gonna have a ton of different options when it comes to accessories. It's the most common size.
How to Install: EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver on your 2024 Toyota RAV4
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the EcoHitch trailer hitch receiver on a 2024 Toyota RAV4. The great part is it's a hidden cross tube, meaning the only thing that you're really gonna see once it's installed is gonna be the two inch by two inch receiver tube opening and the safety chain loops, whereas the structural part of the hitch is hidden behind the fascia. So a nice clean look with all the usability of your hitch. And when loading accessories in the two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, it's gonna require a five eighths pin and clip. Now this is not included with the hitch, but a lot of times when you pick up accessories they'll have one included. And if you plan on leaving your accessories on your vehicle, you might wanna take a look at a locking pin and clip.
Step-By-Step Installation Tutorial for the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver on a 2024 Toyota RAV4
Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the etrailer trailer hitch receiver on a 2024 Toyota RAV4. Now, this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed, and you can see, or not see, the fact that the cross tube is hidden, so you get a nice clean look of not seeing the entire hitch and only having the receiver tube opening down. So that's the benefits of having the hitch but still maintaining a nice clean look. And the etrailer hitch, I really like, because it's got the matte black powder coat finish, so it gives it a little bit stealthier look. It kind of blends in with some of the black plastic, and overall it holds up a little bit better than the gloss paint chips and scratches. Now, this is a two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, which is gonna be great when it comes to choosing accessories, bike racks, cargo carriers, or even ball mounts for towing a trailer.

How to Install: EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver on your 2023 Toyota RAV4
Hi, John with etrailer. If you're looking for a heavy-duty hitch for your Toyota RAV4, then look no further. This is the EcoHitch Class III Receiver Hitch, that we installed on our 2023 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid. Now our EcoHitch is a hidden cross tube style hitch, meaning all you're gonna see is just the receiver tube opening, right here on the bottom. Everything else is tucked up underneath and away. It's kind of nice because, for me, this looks like a factory finish back here, and it's not just something clunky on this nice Toyota here.
Beginner’s Guide to Installing the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver on a 2023 Toyota RAV4
Hello, neighbors. It's Brad here at Etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Draw-Tite class two trailer hitch receiver on a 2023 Toyota Rav4. Now this is what your hitch is gonna look like when it's installed and it is mostly hidden except for you have a plate here, your engine a quarter receiver opening, as well as your safety chain loops. But the cross member is hidden behind the rear fascia so you get a nice clean look. Now being that this is a class two that does mean that this is gonna be an inch and a quarter receiver tube opening and you are gonna be a little bit limited compared to a two inch receiver tube opening. But, for bike racks and cargo carriers, and even a small ball mount for a trailer, this is gonna be a great option and all of your accessories are gonna stay in place with a half inch pin and clip.
