Glacier Tire Chains w/ Cam Tighteners - Ladder Pattern - Twist Links - Assisted Tensioning - 1 Pair
Seem to fit well, used on a defender 110 with 255/60/R20. Plenty of adjustment range.
Excellent chains on 2005 GMC Sierra. Cam Locks are good but you really need to use a tire bungee or equivalent to pull the chains tighter. I use wire ties for the extra length of chain on the inside and outside firewall. Turns the truck into a total snow beast, I have yet to get stuck and have never used the winch I bought for that purpose.

Easy to install great fit. Used for snow plow vehicle so heavy use
Just completed fit-check of these chains on my two vehicles (2016 Toyota Tundra, P255/70R18, Michelin LTX MS2; 2010 Toyota Sequoia, P275/55R20 111S M+S, Bridgestone Dueler H/L) and all is good! Hardest part of installation was untangling the chains to lay out on the ground (that always is, for me!). Practice makes it easier. Thank you etrailer! Rolling a few revolutions and re-tightening chains IS important. Don't leave that step out. I'm going to add rubber tensioners (old-school, I know) just to be sure. Pics are of the 2010 Sequoia and 2016 Tundra.

I had a heck of a time trying to get chains. No where locally, had the size I needed so I had to go online. etrailer.com was actually quick and easy to use. Found the ones I needed and got them ordered. It said it wasn't going to be delivered till the 27 or 28th... they came in on the 24th! Because of the fast delivery I was able to use them today and boy, did I need them! Snow, slippery, the road had kind of a step climb up to the job. Had a couple spots where I had to back up and take a different approach. Telling you, these chains were great! Thanks again for the quick delivery!
These are the best chains, hands down. I live off grid in an area where people constantly lose their vehicles or get them stuck. I need these half of the year and I've never been stuck, even with multiple feet of snow and ice. For most people I don't think you'll ever need replacement parts but for people like me they're easy to repair, diagnose, tighten etc. It's worth noting that you need some grip strength to tighten the cams, I haven't had issues but if you're a woman I'd recommend the "T" shape cam tightener etrailer sells so you can torque it better. It's important to note that these work great with even super knobby tires, so don't shy away if you need this style of chain. I can't recommend these enough, if you're a road traveler this is not the product for you but if you're on the farm, using this for a plow truck on an icy dirt road, going up snowy hills, going offroad in the snow, are camping in snowy wilderness etc this is for you. Just make sure you don't spin, because you can easily snap cross bars this way. etrailer is fantastic, as an aside and has been super helpful.

My chains arrived yesterday. After unpacking them, I was impressed by the good looking and functional case they come in. I viewed the instruction video twice, and feel confident that my first real use will be easy. I am heading over the mountains of British Columbia this upcoming weekend, and have every expectation for our typical high-altitude winter conditions. I feel sure that my trusty F-450's slightly worn dually's drive tires will take almost anything in stride . . . (at 30 MPH ;-)
Correct fit as ordered for oversized SUV wheels & tires for 1991 Bronco. Appreciate the color coding for easy installation.

I ordered 2 sets (4 chains total) of these tire chains for my V10 F250, which I use to plow a private dirt driveway on the north side of a mountain in rural Pennsylvania. It's two miles (actual odometer reading) uphill to the paved road from my house. Most years, along about February, the road ices up (because no sun and midatlantic sleet issues) and plowing becomes quite challenging. I figured getting tire chains might help the traction-on-ice problem. I plow the road between 10 and 15 mph, with the truck in 4wd. Since buying the chains I have run the truck up and back the road approximately twenty times with the chains on, plowing from 4 to 8 inches of snow, conducting rollbacks of shoulder, chopping up slush, etc. I have also used the truck (with chains) to pull out two other stuck vehicles that had run into ditches. At this point I feel like I can review the product because I've used 'em enough to have an opinion. 1. These tire chains add a lot of traction on ice. A lot. Enough to plow with and enough to pull out stuck vehicles while the "tow" vehicle is sitting on ice. 2. The chains look fine and are undamaged at this juncture. Since I've used them consistently with how I expect them to be used and they are fine, I'm happy with quality at this point. 3. Maybe I will improve with practice, but it's about thirty minutes of twinking around to get these straightened out, on the truck, tightened up, bungee'd, etc. in a way that I feel OK about driving with them. (That's why 4 stars instead of 5.) Once they're on, they seem to stay put fairly effectively. I do not drive on paved roads with these chains nor do I drive faster than (max) 20 mph so I can't speak to how they might do under those circumstances. I use them for additional traction for my plow truck while plowing my iced-up dirt road... and for that, they work as advertised.
These tire chains for my 2017 GMC 2500 (20” wheels) perfectly. They did great in the snow and allowed me to pull an enclosed trailer to my cabin, which I couldn’t have done without these chains on my truck. Thanks etrailer for the fitment video specific to my truck! Very helpful

Never used chains before. Bought these for my 2021 Jeep grand Cherokee. They works perfect! Tried them out in a trip to mammoth. Very rough conditions but they got the job die and got us through rough snow and ice. Best part they were easy to install. When chains required, took me less than 15 min to then in vs other struggling with conventional chains. Getting ready again for this upcoming winter. Thank you for the great videos and features allowing me to buy with confidence.
Purchased for use of a 2019 JL Wrangler. Seem very high quality, will be trying them out in Montana January 2020. Definitely easy on, easy off install. I would suggest trying them on the vehicle prior to initial use in the intended climate. Right out of the box they were stored appropriately and not tangled. Easy to place back in storage container. Will be purchasing a set for the wife's and in-law's vehicles providing they excel in winter climate, but have no doubts they will.

Glacier Cable Tire Chains - Ladder Pattern - Roller Links - Manual Tensioning - 1 Pair
These chains are good quality and easy to install. I expect to deal with more icy road conditions than deep snow, and I think they ride smother and will cause less wear on my tires than the old-style heavy chains.
The product was as expected. They were easy to install in the comfort of my garage and fit nicely. Chains were not required on my recent trip, but the peace of mind having them was great. Don't forget to order tensioners.

Excellent customer service! Answered all my questions quick and informatively. I received my order very quick. Their website is awesome with links to a lot of great product information and great installation videos. I love the order tracking interface. Overall great experence with etrailers.com. I got tire chains. I will be ordering more stuff. Good prices too. Thanks etrailer.
I bought the TC2228CAM tire chains because etrailer has a size chart which actually includes the tire size I bought for, but I was really happy and surprised to see how well they are constructed. I haven't installed them yet but feel confident they will work just fine. 2001 4runner Tire: 265/70r/16

We’re up in the Beartooth Mountains of Montana and found the chains super easy to install. They worked well and gave us excellent traction in 18” of snow.
It’s not often you get the experience of real customer service. This place rocks. And these chains got me to work after getting 4 in of ice and snow. Must have

Konig Commercial Truck Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - Square Link - Assisted Tensioning - 1 Pair
Used them for the first time last week. They are Very easy to install. I should have done it once in good weather rather than my first time being in the snow. First one took me a few minutes to figure out but once I did, the go on and come off easily and have great traction. I’m thoroughly sold on these chains
After having these for a full winter season, I can say that they were well worth the purchase. 4.5 stars. Traction was supreme, and ease of install and removal is everything they say - awesome! Removed a star only because the plastic clips that route the little tensioning chain were quickly broken, and the rubber end is marginal. However when installed on my 2wd truck, I pulled a small box trailer up and down a very icy and steep slope (dirt road at scout camp) - without a hint of wheelspin. Same area immediately before chain install had cars and 4wd trucks stuck on a gentle grade. These are not smooth at all on pavement, but a lifesaver when needed.

Konig Easy Fit Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - Square Link - Self Tensioning - 1 Pair
I must say I was skeptical about easy installation. I am pleased to say these chains were EASY AND FAST to put on. Not disappointed at all. It’s worth the extra money and this chain will work on my pickup truck and Jeep Grand Cherokee, so not that costly after all. Highly recommended
FANTASTIC! I'm an "old guy" with arthritis so when I got my Ford F-150 stuck (for the first time in 20 years) I was concerned. I have two sets of heavy duty "ladder" chains, which I only used once and am no longer agile or flexible (or young enough) to wrestle with. So after sliding off an icy road and getting stuck for several hours; I researched various different chains that I could easily manage and could save me a day of trouble. etrailer.com was great, discussed my options with me, understood my concerns, made a range of recommendations and offered a great price. These are certainly not the cheapest chains out there but I think they are the best, especially if you are somewhat physically challenged. Sure the price caused me to hesitate but when I consider what I just went through and my needs these were the best choice. As one reviewer said, "hope I never have to use them". I agree AND I now have something I can use to help me if I ever get stuck again. They are magnificent, engineered to work well and last. They have the best chain pattern and materials on the market, are lightweight and above all else incredibly easy to put on / take off. I did as suggested and put them on for a trial run, they work as promised, amazingly well. I am delighted with my decision and hope I never have to use them but living in the Rocky Mountains one has to be prepared and now I feel confident I can manage just about anything that happens.

I actually don't ever plan on using these chains. I live in California, drive an f150 4x4, but am requried by law to carry chains when chain restrictions are in place. We all know that before Caltrans/CHP require that 4x4's with MS or AT tires chain up, they will just close the roads. Great service and prompt delivery. Thank you!
Just received my chains yesterday. I have to say, first of, customer service is EXCELLENT! I had questions on which chains were best for my SUV and I was promptly responded with suggestions and links to videos. I went with these tire cables for my 2015 Dodge Durango SXT Plus. There was question about clearance issues with brake lines on the Durango and these seem to be very low profile and made for lower clearance. The price was right too. I did a dry install today and it was a breeze. Took way longer to fold these back up and put back into the storage bag! Lol! (That's not these chains fault, it's user error...) I took some pictures but note it was my first time installing tire cables so I'm going to have to center them a bit more. I purchased the Titan chain multi arm rubber chain adjusters and they did make a difference on how snug the cables fit, so I would recommend them. We only plan on using them on very rare occasions when we venture up the mountain, so in sure if you live where it snows all the time, you will probably look at higher prices chains, but I think these are perfect for the occasional use. I will update after our Big Bear trip if we use them to reflect actual use. Thank you etrailer, they also upgraded my shipping to get here a couple days earlier just because... that was amazing!

Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains - Ladder Pattern - V Bar Links - Manual Tensioning - 1 Pair
We just finished two years of full-time travel around the US. I bought two sets of chains and they fit snuggly, as expected, on my LT 275/65 R18 tires. I also bought two types of chain binders to keep them tight and positioned correctly in different conditions. So, that's 4 chain & spring binders AND 4 rubber binders ... just in case. I mounted them all to test the fit and practice my skills and drove 4 mi. on a dirt road. All went well. As we zig zag around the US it's a smart move to carry these chains and binders with us. Many states in the west have highways and roads that mandate use of chains. I'm glad I didn't need to use them last year but I'm confident we're ready if need be. Thanks to etrailer for great documentation and Fabulous customer service!
Have used tire chains for over 50 years. Took a chance on buying these for a new SUV despite misgivings over the large range of tires these are supposed to work with. Both as experienced user and retired design engineer, the range of tire sizes didn't make sense. Do they "fit". i.e. can they be installed, yes. Will they stay in place with use of proper placement and tensioners? Not above 10 mph. Writing these off as a bad investment and will design and build a set of custom chains that work.

Quality made product right out of the package. I haven't had a chance to use them but being a welder/fabricator I can see the quality in the work done on these. Looking forward to slapping these bad boys on and tearing up the snow and ice!
I received the chains on the day that was projected. I installed them om on my truck and they fit. The installation was relatively easy (in my garage). My only recommendation is to make the storage bag bigger. It was difficult to get them out of the bag and even more difficult to put them back in. I have not used them as of yet, so I cannot comment on their effectiveness.

Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - Square Link - 1 Pair
I bought these chains because of the low clearance between my tire sidewalls and the vehicle's front suspension. They worked great for alleviating this issue - there were no issues with clearance. The chains are well made, but they require patience to put on. Be sure that they're are 100% untwisted and laid out before attempting to install; I had a few links twisted the wrong direction (hard to see) and the chain would not stretch around the tire. Once properly and cleanly laid out the install went well. I installed these chains on 275/45/20 tires, and the fit was extremely tight - no need to thread the tensioner links through both eyelets. The rubber bungy barely stretched adequately to reach a suitable attach point - this is okay, just unexpected relative to the instructions packaged with the chains. Oh, be sure to have the vertical chain links 100% aligned in the MIDDLE of the tire before attempting to piece together the yellow sidewall chain on the outside. The chains are straightforward to install, but PLEASE practice in your garage before you need to do so in a snowy location on the side of a highway.
After trying unsuccessfully to locate tire chains for our 2015 Ford Explorer I turned to the Internet. The first company to come up on the Google search was etrailer.com. They had the chains I was looking for and shipped them the same day. I have not yet attempted to install them; however, they are just what I expected, based on past experience.

pewag Tire Chains w/ Cams - Ladder Pattern - Grooved Square Link - Assisted Tensioning - 1 Pair
Pewag PWE2228SC chains are nothing fancy. Good old traditional design. Came in a canvas bag with no closure. Successfully mounted them on P165/70R17 tires. Have not tested them in real-life snowy conditions. After chains are on, should drive vehicle 1/4 to 1/2 tire revolution, then tighten chain hooks further. Adding additional tension cords almost a must. Picture shows chain loosening at 6 o'clock and 7 o'clock positions after driving only a few feet. Consider adding threaded chain link to tie down extra free links to prevent them from flopping around when driving. Flopping chains are know to cut brake and ABS lines and cause other damage to the vehicle, especially if chains are installed on front tires. Thule XG12 Pro may be a better choice for front tires, because nothing flops around on the medial side of chains.
Purchased for 2016 Sprinter 4WD 140. Very pleased. Works well here in Pacific NW snow and ice. Heavy chain, but installs easy enough. Will need designated storage space. Great service and delivery.

Great product and excellent super-fast service. I needed chains on very short notice and the folks at etrailer got the job done, while also keeping me up to date.
You folks get 3 stars. Only because I cannot return the unused chains for a credit, (maybe to use on new chains that will fit the slightly larger tires that these chains will not fit). Will be selling these on craigs list and maybe find chains that will fit locally. Two lost sales for you, sounds like policy is starting to impact sales negativity.

1/15/2024 I couldn’t go up my property, so on 1/17 I ordered this chain with the TCMA2 Rubber chain hook. On 1/22 I tried it was a beautiful climb, and decent, my driveway has a 17 degree slope. I try again next day with a glance of ice, NO Problem! A year later, same success! Love to have the right tool.
Not yet installed, they are packaged well and are the correct size for a Tacoma T265/70-16). I placed my order. I got a confirmation email that also advised that I would be notified when the item shipped. The package showed up in the mailbox but I never got the shipping email or tracking number.

Installation Guide for the Glacier Tire Chains w/ Cam Tighteners on a 2021 Toyota 4Runner
Hi everyone, Aiden here with etrailer.com and today we're gonna be taking a look at the Glacier chain snow tire chains with cam tensioners here on our 2021 Toyota 4Runner. Now this here is going to be a ladder pattern style chain which means that the chains are going perpendicular across the tire like this and it's gonna be really nice for our starts and stops, give us nice grip, it won't be as smooth of a ride, but we're focused on getting good traction, not necessarily perfect ride quality. You also have the twist links here, which compared to something like a square link or especially a V-Bar, is gonna be better for on-road use, less aggressive, and give you a bit of a smoother ride. Again, it's not gonna be perfect, you've got a chain on your tire but it will help with some of that ride quality. These are constructed of a low-carbon steel which means they are gonna be a bit softer which isn't necessarily a bad thing if you we're to roll over something like a rock, they're less brittle, less prone to snapping and breaking, so they should last a long time. You are gonna notice four of these cam tensioners around the tire, comes with the included tool.

That's gonna be a little bit more aggressive than our typical twist link or a cable-style chain, but not quite as intense as a V-bar style. I like the square link, I think it's a really good middle ground and it's gonna give you some good traction in those tricky situations. Overall, there's a manganese nickel alloy construction keeping things nice and corrosion resistant over time.

How to Install the pewag Mud Service Tire Chains on a 2021 Toyota 4Runner
Hi, everyone, Aiden here with etrailer.com, and today we're gonna be taking a look at the Pewag Mud Service All-Square snow tire chains here on our 2021 Toyota 4-Runner. Now these are gonna be a ladder pattern style chain, which means these links are going to run perpendicular to the tire, like the shape of a ladder. It's gonna give us really good traction for our starts and stops and with a nice square shaped link, we're gonna get a lot of bite in those links, as opposed to something like a twist link, or even a cable that would be much more mild, better for on-road use and just light duty applications, but they don't give you the same level of traction that something like this might have. You are gonna have a nickel-manganese alloy steel construction, so these will be holding up to those elements pretty well over time and help them last for a long time. On the front, we have this lever arm that feeds through the links, pulls back, and applies some tension to the chain, but we don't have any sort of included cam tighteners like some other chains might and like other options from Pewag have. So we have our rubber tensioner on here to get the chain really form fit to the tire, keep it on there nice and snug.
