Yakima RoundBar Crossbars - Steel - Black - 48" Long - Qty 2
I ordered the Yakima roof rack, with the Hullyrollers for the back crossbar and the Mako saddles for the front crossbar to use with my kayak. It arrived just like they told me and I put them on my car the eveningit arrived. Got to finlly use the roof rack on June 22 to go out kayaking and it worked great. Only thing is I did not know about the air reflector piece for the front crossbar. Now I will be ordering it to help with the wind noise.
Great rack, go on fast, easy to install and work well on my VW TDI wagon. Care has to be given and follow the instructions for the install to what type of rails you have. Works great carrying the VW luggage carrier and plan on using it to carry kayaks as well. Just have not decided what kayak rack type to get yet.

Disclosure: I have not had the chance to use the product yet. This review is for Etrailer specifically and the purchase process on these products. I am new to these racks so I read an Etrailer forum on what parts to buy. Trusting their help, they recommended the Yakima landing pads, the Highline towers, and the HD bars; so I ordered. At no time did they or the computer ask me to order the metal adaptor to ATTACH the bars. Being new to the rack system, they should have been on top of this and disclosed that I would not be able to use ANY of my products till I had these tiny metal adaptors. I.E. "Have you bought the correct adaptor to mount your bars?" Anything would have helped! Now I have all three things sitting in my garage collecting dust with a pending order to another company for the tiny metal adaptors, making the delay another week and a half. This puts a sour taste in my mouth.

Malone SteelTop Roof Rack - Square Crossbars - Raised, Factory Side Rails - Steel - 50" Long
I got a really great deal on this MPG201 kit via the "used" section, which wasn't used - I contacted support and it was listed essentially as "damaged in shipping" but fully functional, which it was. It came with no keys but I used a small flathead screwdriver to unlock them, necessary for rack installation. Not a biggy. One of the plastic feet split on install, which Malone rectified without hassle, and sent keys, when I contacted them with a photo. They make a decent rack for the money, I bought a different kit from them years ago. The connection beneath the roof rails is minimal but seems sufficient for surf and snowboards. I sent photos to Malone who confirmed the install is correct.
These 50” rack and risers fit as advertised on our 2017 MiniCooper Clubman with use of the clamp adapter. Just finished testing them to transport two bikes up, over and back across the Appalachian Mts on both steep backwoods roads and open highway with zero problems. Unrelated to this product, I had a comparability problem with my Yakima bike rail clamps that are smaller than the roof racks diameter and require some finagling which others might not be able to make work. So check on clamp size comparability if these are to replace an existing Yakima roof carrier system. Again, this is not an etrailer product critique!

Yakima JetStream Crossbars - Aluminum - Black - 50" Long - Qty 2
The only problem I had, was when I watched the video showing how to install the rack, I did not realize that the actual installation process was a lot more complex. For example, the woman who was in the video only showed the installation one rack (I believe itg was the back rack and she gave the width measurement for that one. The front rack was already on the car and the woman neglected to say, "check your manual. The width of the front rack (may be) different than the back. She also did not explain carefully that there were three different screws that needed to be adjusted for a proper fit so the towers were properly adjusted for yoiur specific car. (My car is a 2018 Chevy Volt.) (I also bought Yakima kayak cradles from you guys, which were easy to install.) However, I blame myself for not reading the manual carefully, so when I installed the racks, they did not fit right and one of them actually fell off while I was driving. (Luckily there were kayaks on and no one was hurt. The two towers were damaged but luckily the rack and the kayak cradles were fine. I called etrailers and was told I had to contact Yakima, which I did. I explained to the Yakima customer service rep that I was at fault for trusting the video and not reading the manual carefully and after asking me to send him photos of the damaged towers he sent me two new towers for free, as well as another torque wrench, so I could work with a second person. This time I read the manual carefully and watched the Yakima video many times during the a week before I felt confident enough to try installing the racks again. This time they fit perfectly. I love both the rack and the kayak cradles. I use them to transport my two kayaks down to the Hudson River near my house and have also used them to carry the kayaks to a family camping site 50 miles away, confident they are safe and secure. But please, review the video you put out for the installation of the racks onto a 2017 Chevy Volt, and either correct the shortcomings by doing it over, with an explanation about the adjustment of the widths, and also reading the manual and finding the correct positions for the adjustment screws. (Or delete it and refer your customers to the Yakima installation video. Though it’s more generic than yours, at least the tell the customer to refer to the manual.

The Rhino Rack HD crossbar kit for tracks fits my SyneticUSA Pro retractable cover perfectly. RR includes several track nuts of different sizes to match to your particular track. I love the quick detach capability of the towers and that they also lock for security. The HD bars are essentially the same dimension of 1 5/8" unistrut/superstrut so you can find all sorts of attachment hardware outside of what RR makes. This makes it easy to securely bolt your gear down to the cross bars and customize with easy to find hardware at your local home depot. The 65" HD bars are perfect for a mid size truck like my Tacoma.
The rack more than exceeded my expectations. It was easy to assemble and mount on the cap of my Tacoma truck. I’ve had this roof rack system for about a year now and it has worked consistently well for the entire 12 months and I believe will continue to work well for me for the for seeable future. I gave it four stars initially and four stars now because I do think the fit and finish of the system could be better. That’s not a dealbreaker for its function because it’s excellent in doing the work it’s designed to do but it just isn’t the prettiest. Great rack, buy it... it will work hard for you. The 50” jetstream cross bars were perfect for my 2019 Ford Ranger with my ARE cap. They are paired with the Yakima Skyline towers and appropriate landing pads (protip: call etrailer when you order to ensure you have the correct setup;) These cross bars are SILENT on my cap. Zero wind noise. My daughter and I installed them on a Friday (I do recommend watching etrailer’s installation video in addition to the paper instructions) and left for a 700 mile weekend road trip the next day to pick up a kayak, paddle with friends downstate then drop her off at summer camp. Even with empty Yakima Jaylows on top, no wind noise. Even with a boat in the Jaylows, no wind noise. These are the sweetest rack’s I’ve had. I had to warranty the bars because the rubber strips that seal the attachment channel would not stay attached. Blew off on the highway. Poor design. Thule warranty is awesome, They sent me 2 new sets. Still wouldnt attach securely. Thule sent me a new set of bars. I already bought some square bars. I dont even want to use the wing bars. I want aerodynamic profile not the rubber strips.
So far its the best roof rack you can get today! Had no issues when driving through rugged and bumpy terrains all day.

Great addition to a 4Runner because they already have the factory side rails, and these just kind of clamp around them, making it super easy to get them on and off. And this is mostly designed for clamp-around accessories that go around the bar. But also, the rubber here, you can peel that off and use T-track accessories as well. And once you have those in place, you can cut this rubber, and it's gonna keep this nice and protected and also keep wind and water from getting into the bars. What's going on everybody Adam here with etrailer. Today, we have a 2021 Toyota 4Runner. And we're going to be taking a look at the Yakima FlushBar roof rack system. If you're really looking for a nice OEM look roof rack for your 4Runner, I really liked the looks of these just because it kind of blends in with the style of your roof bars. And also it's not really going to have any overhang or anything like that. So if you we're looking to get something like a Thule Hullavator or the Yakima ShowDown, it's not really going to be the best for these set of bars but they will be able to hold up to 165 pounds and they have a nice powder coat finish to add to that OEM look.
