Now it's important to note that we are using the factory roof rack on the Outback and that's great because it already comes with your vehicle. You might as well utilize it, and with how close it sits to the roof, you just wanna know right away that it's gonna work. These thinner factory bars don't always work the best with certain rooftop accessories, but this one is great because the bands are thin and low profile, and adjustable so they can get nice and snug on there, and you don't have to worry about it shifting around on your roof. The other benefit to this style of carrier for your skis and snowboards is that it's much more low profile, and generally is going to be less expensive than something like a rooftop box, which a lot of people like for skis, and snowboards.

You see that we have it up here on our factory cross-rails, but you can use it on your aftermarket ones as well, whether that be a round bar, elliptical bar, square bar, or even your factory cross bars like you see here. Part number Y03088. We'll show you how to put the back one on since we've already got the front one in place. Make sure you have the straps open and ready to receive your cross rails. Slide it underneath to where the straps go under and the pads rest on top.

Today, on our 2016 Subaru Outback Wagon, we're going to be doing a test fit of the Whispbar Locking Ski and Snowboard Carrier for 6 Skis, or 4 Snowboards, or a combination of the two. This is going to be part number WB-300. Now, first thing we're going to do, we're going to put them up on our crossbars. Notice that we're using our factory crossbars right now. Go ahead and make sure that the straps are undone, so they can receive our cross-rails. Slide the strap underneath, and line it up with that front one.

Today on our 2014 Subaru Outback Wagon, we're going to be doing a test fit on our factory cross bars of the Yakima Fatcat ski and snowboard carrier. This is going to fit six skis side by side of four snowboards. Part number is going Y03Y088. Let's go ahead and put it up top and see how it looks and fits on our Subaru. First thing you're going to want to do is take your Fatcat and undo the straps and make sure they're out of the slots and make sure they're ready to receive the cross bars. Find whatever side you're going to favor, that's going to open up, like so. Which, we're going to fave the passenger side and place it on top of your cross bar.

It has a good amount of space in here for your different snow port equipment. You can fit up to six pairs of skis or four boards. Right here we have two skis and one snowboard, of course, it'll depend on the size of your own equipment, but it's a pretty good amount of space here. Yakima FatCat Ski and Snowboard Carrier Review - 2011 Subaru Outback Wagon

Today, on our 2011 Subaru Outback Wagon, we'll be test-fitting the Yakima FatCat 6 Rooftop Ski and Snowboard Carrier, with a 6-ski or 4-board capacity, part number Y03088. We'll begin our test-fit by placing the front part of the carrier onto the front load bar. We'll open up the carrier, exposing the two black levers. We'll bring the rubber-coated steel straps around the underside of the front bar, hook them into the connection points, and tighten down the black levers and clamp them down. We'll then repeat the same process for the rear part of the carrier. With everything all tightened down and secured, we're ready to load up our gear.
