I put 3 stars because its a useful functional non-harmful roof rack solution for my WRX sedan. This review lost 2 stars because the rubber top pieces get damaged upon any accessory removal or install like(bike, snowboard rails etc). Additionally, these accessories also look to be weathering quickly because of build quality. Hopefully this helps your decision! Thanks

The Rhino Racks Vortex Aero are solid. My first drive with them was to Brighton Utah from Riverside California. They were not only secure throughout the drive and hard winds, they were also reasonably quiet. On top I attached a Thule Force L 628 roof box and it fits perfectly. The only complaints I have are how difficult it was to install the racks to my fixed points. It took several friends, a mechanic, and two days to get everything right.

Bought and installed on my 2019 Honda Fit. I’ve driven from Chicago to Big Bend in TX and to the Black Hills in SD with a cargo box attached and have had zero issues. Installation is simple enough and are easy to take off when needed.

All the Rhino Rack products listed, ie Nautic kayak carrier,anchor straps,2500 series legs,and Vortex crossbars were shipped extremely quickly by etrailer, with exceptional customer assistance, and were all found to be of the highest quality materials. Installation was relatively simple with an assistant and the video by Rhino Rack was a valuable tool...once on my car, the system proved to be safe, secure and as sturdy as I could hope for. I would certainly recommend Rhino Rack systems in future, and will certainly rely on etrailer for any of my future needs.

I ordered the Yakima roof rack, with the Hullyrollers for the back crossbar and the Mako saddles for the front crossbar to use with my kayak. It arrived just like they told me and I put them on my car the eveningit arrived. Got to finlly use the roof rack on June 22 to go out kayaking and it worked great. Only thing is I did not know about the air reflector piece for the front crossbar. Now I will be ordering it to help with the wind noise.

Great rack, go on fast, easy to install and work well on my VW TDI wagon. Care has to be given and follow the instructions for the install to what type of rails you have. Works great carrying the VW luggage carrier and plan on using it to carry kayaks as well. Just have not decided what kayak rack type to get yet.

After a year the rack has stood the test of time and daily use. I've set it properly and for the most part forgotten about it. I've used the rack to haul a ton of furniture properly tied down to my sedan's roof.Ive also postponed getting a larger car by gaining space in the roof box. I still recommend this product.

My experience with etrailer has been excellent. There was going to be a potential delay in one of the products, but their customer service promptly informed me, half the price of some of their competitors so can't really complain. In the end they got the part ahead of schedule and was able to ship in a timely manner. I will definitely keep them in mind for future purchases.

At first, a little tricky to install, as the kit comes with hardware for a variety of applications (different length/size bolts, etc). But after a quick look at the directions and identifying which bolt to use for my car, install was a breeze. I love this Yakima setup because I can remove the bars/towers and leave the landing pads with a cap. Makes it great for taking the canoe out on weekend trips, but not taking the fuel-economy hit during the weekday commute to work.

Install onto factory fix points was relatively easy, being very careful to not cross thread anything. The numbered instructions had good pictures and were easy to follow. Cut the bar bottom inserts to the right size and the assembled racks fit the car well. Seems sturdy. Attached swagman fork down racks and put bikes on and drove around some to test it out. Time will tell but this seems like a good rack for the money.

I got a really great deal on this MPG201 kit via the "used" section, which wasn't used - I contacted support and it was listed essentially as "damaged in shipping" but fully functional, which it was. It came with no keys but I used a small flathead screwdriver to unlock them, necessary for rack installation. Not a biggy. One of the plastic feet split on install, which Malone rectified without hassle, and sent keys, when I contacted them with a photo. They make a decent rack for the money, I bought a different kit from them years ago. The connection beneath the roof rails is minimal but seems sufficient for surf and snowboards. I sent photos to Malone who confirmed the install is correct.

These 50” rack and risers fit as advertised on our 2017 MiniCooper Clubman with use of the clamp adapter. Just finished testing them to transport two bikes up, over and back across the Appalachian Mts on both steep backwoods roads and open highway with zero problems. Unrelated to this product, I had a comparability problem with my Yakima bike rail clamps that are smaller than the roof racks diameter and require some finagling which others might not be able to make work. So check on clamp size comparability if these are to replace an existing Yakima roof carrier system. Again, this is not an etrailer product critique!

The whole experience was freakin awesome. * Ordered on-line, delivered when promised, all packages were in excellent condition, and all parts were accounted for - no shortages, THANK YOU! * The Thule roof rack design, quality of materials, comprehensive instructions were really impressive. Everything went together without a hitch and really looks good installed. * We plan on carrying our 12 1/2' SUP's on the roof rack when we head out to the lakes. * It saves us time as our SUP's are inflatable, however it takes a bit of time to pump them up once we get there. Now it's just loosen them up and we're ready to go. Great job etrailer, I would definitely buy more products from your organization!!

Etrailer helped me out of a jam as I could not find the Thule parts I needed. They not only had the parts but got them to me in a few days! Made my trip to Lake Placid possible! Fantastic communication and customer service.

The only problem I had, was when I watched the video showing how to install the rack, I did not realize that the actual installation process was a lot more complex. For example, the woman who was in the video only showed the installation one rack (I believe itg was the back rack and she gave the width measurement for that one. The front rack was already on the car and the woman neglected to say, "check your manual. The width of the front rack (may be) different than the back. She also did not explain carefully that there were three different screws that needed to be adjusted for a proper fit so the towers were properly adjusted for yoiur specific car. (My car is a 2018 Chevy Volt.) (I also bought Yakima kayak cradles from you guys, which were easy to install.) However, I blame myself for not reading the manual carefully, so when I installed the racks, they did not fit right and one of them actually fell off while I was driving. (Luckily there were kayaks on and no one was hurt. The two towers were damaged but luckily the rack and the kayak cradles were fine. I called etrailers and was told I had to contact Yakima, which I did. I explained to the Yakima customer service rep that I was at fault for trusting the video and not reading the manual carefully and after asking me to send him photos of the damaged towers he sent me two new towers for free, as well as another torque wrench, so I could work with a second person. This time I read the manual carefully and watched the Yakima video many times during the a week before I felt confident enough to try installing the racks again. This time they fit perfectly. I love both the rack and the kayak cradles. I use them to transport my two kayaks down to the Hudson River near my house and have also used them to carry the kayaks to a family camping site 50 miles away, confident they are safe and secure. But please, review the video you put out for the installation of the racks onto a 2017 Chevy Volt, and either correct the shortcomings by doing it over, with an explanation about the adjustment of the widths, and also reading the manual and finding the correct positions for the adjustment screws. (Or delete it and refer your customers to the Yakima installation video. Though it’s more generic than yours, at least the tell the customer to refer to the manual.

If you're a Lexus GX460 owner, think the OEM cross bars are wimpy, and don't want to shell out $500-$600 for "aero" style bars, this is for you. I chose the Inno INXP base over the INTR base because I thought it looked sleeker, and I wanted as much clearance over the shark fin antenna as I could (although both bases clear the antenna, the INXP is taller). The product description is slightly different for the two bases, but both of them are able to slide along the factory flush rails. Choosing between the two is a matter of taste. A couple of hints for installation: -I didn't receive an English copy of the installation instructions for the base, but was able to figure it out anyway. You could easily find them online. -The screws that come with the base aren't needed, use the longer ones that come with the fit kit. -Loosely attach the fit hooks, clip the base on top, slide the rail through, THEN tighten the screws. -When putting the fit hooks on the rails before putting the base on top, make sure the screws are backed out as much as physically possible without disconnecting. Even still there is very little play when sliding the rails through before tightening everything down. It would be nice if the screws were even 1/8" longer, but it would only make installation easier. Once everything is tightened down it's as solid as can be. Overall I'm very happy. I like the more rugged look of the square bars, and shaking them moves the whole vehicle and they don't budge.

I bought this rack because I had a pair of Thule rectangular bars. It is a solid and secure rack now. However, it is not quick on and off. Very fiddly, pretty much a two person job. Also it make a ton of airflow noise. Pretty annoying. John W

This is more a review on the customer service experience. Racks were delivered on time but damaged. I emailed them and received a response almost immediatly. Sent pictures, they replied and shipped me new racks no questions asked. They also sent me a pre paid shipping label. By far the greatest customer service experience I've had. Racks were very easy and simple to install. Unfortunately I had to remove rain guards but they were broken anyway. What a great co to deal with. Will do business with them again and recommend them to anyone.

Sorry it took so long to respond, the box was staring at me for this weekends put together. Well things fit so, so. The extensions bars are to long to fit the rack on top of my car, totally unneeded hardware and I would like to return it for a refund. The feet of the rack are not flush with the roof line so I'll need to bend them to fit as flush as I can get them. I do notice a second hole on the feet but cannot use it because of a fixed rivet instead of something interchangeable to make a more fitting angle for the foot to my roof, still some bending needed. The cross bars look like they have been returned before as there are burrs where clamps were tightened down way too hard previously. All in all, I can make it fit if it doesn't void any warranty but would rather return everything if it does.

I really like this mounting system. Solid, dense rubber pads that are only as wide as they need to be to securely attach. I've had other bars with pads that had a giant footprint and caught dirt, leading to my paint getting scuffed underneath so I appreciate this design. To further protect your paint, it comes with protective stips that you stick on where the pads will contact.

Free delivery that showed up in 3 days!!! Can't beat it. The crossbars with the Control Towers and LandingPad 9 fit perfectly on my Honda Element. Had them installed in about 30 mins. Don't have my cargo box yet and wanted to test strength, so I had my 110lb wife standing on them with no issues (yes, the car was parked). Plan to take a long camping trip next week with a cargo box on top...wife will be in the vehicle:-)

Ordered a full (naked) roof rack package with snowboard/ski attachment. Items arrived as described. Set-up was simple and flawless. Instructions are fairly clear & simple. A paper tape measure is included. No issues with fitment.Purchased the fairing to reduce wind noise and it works perfect! No excessive wind noise whatsoever -- can open sunroof comfortably if I wanted to. Have not yet put my snowboards inthe attachment yet, but do not foresee any issues. Roof rack is on a 2015 Infiniti Q40 (G37 sedan 2009-2015).

Incredible engineering: does not feel like an aftermarket rack. Easy to take off if necessary. Solid; highly recommend.
