This hitch is perfect. It's great quality and it bolted up easily. Took me just over 1 hour to install.
Fit properly. Works well for designed purpose. I'm using it for a SnowSport plow. I tend to hit the stacked pile too hard and have bent the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver. The receiver box was pushed backward and tilted up. The up-tilt lifted the plow too high to work by the end of last season. The plow is putting a lot more than 500 lbs load on the receiver. I'm way beyond designed specs. I don't blame the hitch. I blame my inability to hold back on pushing snow taller than the hood of my 4wd RAM 2500. It was the only way to stack enough snow out of the way to get through the season. I've had it cut and straightened, mostly. It's working for this season, but fixing the bends cost what I paid for the hitch in the first place. If it bends again this season, I'll probably add some 3-4" x 1/4" plate to the top and bottom of the cross tube to reinforce things.

I ordered these two, front and rear for a 1990 GEO Tracker 4 wheel drive that I am rebuilding. I believed they would fit, I finally got around to mounting them and they don't fit, to large. I think I have had them to long to return them.
Hi George, I received your email and didn't realize it had been a year already. I'm afraid I don't have anything to say that you want to hear but I will tell you anyway. I spent about a week researching this hitch and read numerous reviews about it and how easy it is to install with installation times of 30 minutes to an hour, so finally I bought one. I read the instructions when I got it, looked simple enough. I've been building cars and motorcycles most of my life, a few hot rods and drag raced Harley's for 8 years, and I had to fabricate a lot of parts on the drag bike splus I've been a CNC Machinist for 30 years, and having just retired this project was on my list of things to do NOW! Well its been a year and the hitch is now sitting in the corner of my dining room. Either I have a Jeep Cherokee that is an odd ball or its just my crappy luck. In the directions it says to use the fishwire for putting in cm-sp1 and the bolt. I can supply pictures if you want but there is no access hole anywhere near big enough to get the sp1 spacer in the frame and the end of the frame isn't open either as the directions suggest. Apparently its either butcher the frame with a hole big enough to these spacers in, which I really don't want to do, or try to sell the hitch for whatever I can get and say the hell with it, except I really need that front hitch. I realize most people are very happy with your product, but I'm sorry to say I'm not at all. You asked!

I use Curt Front Hitches from ETrailer with pintle hitch plates to make my own front protective bars and also rear protective bars in a rear truck, SUV. Or van hitch to protect my vehicles from bad drivers. Much stronger than bull bar or offroad front bumper bar protection
We live just south of Buffalo and Put this on our '11 Honda Ridgeline with a snowsport plow and a week later it snowed, and snowed and snowed... 5 feet in 24 hours and it's still snowing.... It's not good.... It's AWESOME! Not one driveway or even our street is clear... Except ours. It was easy to put together , easy to install and works exactly like it's advertised! It's November and it paid for itself already. Communication with etrailer was exceptional. We could not be happier with the whole setup.

The fit was a bit too tight but we were able to make it fit. The shipping packing was pretty lacking. Since being installed we have been using it with a spare tire mount. That works great and it makes the spare tire more accessible compared to the standard under the bed mounting. When fully loaded with a camper and towing a boat moving the spare tire to the front improves the weight distribution.
Curt actually recommended that we use etrailer. They even gave me the confirmation that the hitch would work and told us you have a video. Thanks!

This hitch is definitely heavy duty and mounts securely. It does not block airflow to the radiators or interfere with the bumper proximity sensors. It deserves 5 stars from that perspective. But I give it 4 stars because unfortunately the distance between the side plates was 3/4" too narrow to rotate into place. It would not clear the frame rails, brackets, and spacers. Actually it wouldn't even clear the frame rails alone. My son and I read the instructions many times and experimented with every possible angle (which is a major hassle while supporting the hitch under the truck) and finally took the matter into our own hands. We used a high lift jack situated between the side plates to bend them outward. Then the hitch fit perfectly. Getting the bumper lined back up was another headache, but not because of the hitch.
Seems nice and solid, should be strong enough to haul my 425lb motorcycle + 60lb carrier. Based on some of the reviews about what a pain it was to install I decided not to mess with it and take it to a hitch shop. They confirmed some of the complaints I read here so it was money well spent.

Excellent instruction video! I would hope on future videos the dark black parts might be contrasted, they are taken from below and I am sure my lighting was lacking under an un-jacked jeep! The plastic rivets on vehicle are two part and in a restricted trough which were a pain to replace other than that issue everything was great!
Fits perfect and works just as I needed it to. I use it for my SnowSport plow set-up on a 2022 Gladiator Sport Max Tow. I’ve been using front receivers for this same plow for the last 24 years. It’s been used on 5 different trucks and this front receiver mount plow is the BEST. *** When installing on a Gladiator(possibly the Wrangler as well), the front plastic trim below the bumper needs to be cut for receiver clearance. I wanted a tight and “factory looking” install, so I took my time with a vibrating cutter and very sharp utility knife. After trying to put it back in place, the hole is not just square, it’s shaped more like. “T”. I suggest you make small adjustments/cuts as you go forward. It may take several times fitting and cutting to get it right and tight, but in the end it does look like it came that way from JEEP. On the Max Tow package, there is also a metal skid plate that does not get reinstalled. Unfortunately that piece is where the back of the plastic fascia mounts. I ended up securing it with some long heavy-duty zip-ties and it’s worked well for a year now. Just an FYI for those installing the same receiver on their same vehicle.

After struggling with the answering menu, Steve Z. was instrumental in locating a hitch to fit my van which was not specifically identified in any data search. Weird year, 2005, of popular Chevy Express van, my luck! Using manufacturers dimensions I purchased #31016 on 12/21 and it arrived on 12/24. It's a very well built, USA built, unit. It arrived rapidly, but was missing half of the mounting hardware. The remainder of the hardware was rolling around in the box. Zip lock baggie ripped apart spilling them. I used a hydraulic jack to elevate hitch into place, and an additional jack to push the drill up to drill the 6 mounting holes necessary. No factory hole alignment. All the nuts for the bolts were lost in transit, but by a Christmas day miracle, I found 2 metric nuts to fit supplied bolts that survived the delivery. I will acquire, and install remaining missing 4 tomorrow. The installation went smooth and easy using this technique. It took around 3 hours with much of the time searching for hardware.' Thanks Steve Z. and etrailer. .
The product works great. However, I was told that this front hitch receiver would bolt to existing holes on my 98 Four winds RV. That was not true, so installation was double the cost of what was estimated by the shop I took it to.

Mounting went well, video direction were accurate.
Overall, my experience with etrailer was good. There was an initial delay in shipping, but once I talked to someone, everything went well. The help page was invaluable. The biggest help was the installation video. While there are slight differences between the 2011 GMC and the 2013, the process was the same. I am very pleased with the product and the support. For my 2005 Ram 2500 4WD. This product is well made and I am looking forward to using it for a winch that can go on the front or rear of my truck and may get carrying racks, etc. I believe the product I received was damaged in shipping. The span between the flanges that bolt to the sides of the truck frame was about an inch narrower than the distance to the outsides of the truck frame where the hitch fastens to the vehicle. One of the flanges was badly out of square. I widened the gap by placing the flange in a vise and pulling on the end of the hitch till it was closer to square. Then I used a large crescent wrench to tweak both sides till the dang thing would go on. Then I still had to use a pretty big hammer to wack it into place. Also, this installation was very difficult for me to do alone on the ground. A buddy and a lift would have made this much easier. The included fish wires were super effective and high quality; once the bolts are in place just thread the wire through the mounting holes in the hitch as you lift it into place. Went much easier than I expected. Instructions say use a hole saw, I used a step drill bit and that worked well, except for the small burns I got from hot chips raining down
Just like the description said and easy to install. Fast shipping and nice to ask questions before the sale.

We chose the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver so we could safely transport our RAD electric bikes while also pulling our travel trailer. We had it professionally installed onto the front of our Toyota Tundra and it has worked out very well! We are very pleased, and glad that we have it!
Shipping was fast and packaged good with no scratches. I modified my 2010 Tundra skid pan for oil filter changes before mounting. Replaced all 4 OEM tow ring bolts using anti-seize with new longer M12-1.25 X 40MM class 10.9 zinc finished hex cap screws along with new M12 X 24MM OD HARD WASHERS and torqued all 4 to 79 ft/lbs. Mounted new Thule EasyFold XT 2 Hitch Bike Rack and it fits in front without using the hitch extension. All went together as planned and can now take E-Bikes with us while pulling our camper. We are happy campers!

This hitch is high quality and fit perfectly. Install was relatively easy. I needed this hitch because I tow a travel trailer and need to carry my bike rack and bikes as well. I can move the bike rack to my rear factory hitch when I'm not towing, very simple. The pictures show my truck / RV with my bike rack installed in the front hitch.
I use the hitch for our E-bikes bike rack. It is so nice to use especially since I tow a camper and didn’t have a way to haul the bikes. Very sturdy and it was easy to install.

2025 Ram Rebel - States it does not fit and they are right ?? But, with a little modification of the lower fan shroud/shield. Also, we need to cut a hole in the front skid plate to get the receiver through. It works well, I am adding a hitch extender (7") so it's easier to take things on and off Pictures show the mods needed. the pic with the bolt circled, you need to cut the excess bolt off, leave the nut on the bolt just cut the excess off The corners of the radiator shroud need to be cut off, it worked out well because the flaps left on after JUST cutting the plastic corners were able to fold over and still "seal" the area, it's not (as original) an airtight fit If this wasn't a rebel it might have went easier but I assume all 2025s with the new I6 hurricane motor would have the same radiator set up so that trimming might need to happen regardless
This took a lot longer than I thought it would (about 3 hrs), mainly for figuring out how to get the right tool into the right place, but it turned out really good and will be great to put a bike rack on the front while towing our trailer in the rear. I was also able to re-install the tow hooks as well as part of the installation. You will definitely have to reach way back up in there to install and get ahold of a hitch pin any time you use it, but it looks really clean and you can't really even tell it is there when the license plate is on (you have to remove license plate any time you want to use it). I highly recommend using a floor jack to prop the hitch up into place so you can maneuver it around the air dam a bit more easily and line it up with the holes. The instructions could have used some better pictures of actually how to get it up into place. I had to get it in by just barely fitting it in front of the air dam and then jacking it up and around it. End product though looks really good.

I finished installing my new front hitch a few weekends ago. All in all I'm very satisfied with the new hitch, primarily as it solved a long standing problem and the right price. The construction and fit of the hitch is excellent. It does take a bit more than an amateur to install however, so below are my comments with photos attached to help the next guy: 1.) Front bolt - The existing hole on the frame it too small to accept the new bolt. This needs to be drilled out (only with a 90 deg. Drill), or replace the existing bolts in the opposite direction...which is what I did, (photo 3). 2.) Middle bolt - The existing frame hole does not align with the hole on the hitch. You need to dry fit it and mark it and cut an approx. 1/2 - 5/8" chip out of the frame. 3.) Rear bolt - Rear bolt ends up with about a 1/4" gap between the frame and hitch. I shimmed the gap and torqued it snug. There's also no way to install the internal washer, without losing your sanity. I eliminated it and used a vise grip on the bolt end as I tighten the nut. Additionally, you have to remove the bumper kicker brace to install this rear bolt. Once the hitch is up, there is again no way to reinstall that kicker brace without disassembling the whole assembly at the bumper. My problem with that was that my existing bolt were old and rusty and probably won't come off or go back on easily. Instead, I fabricated an extension bracket and reassemble that kicker brace just above the new bolt (photo 2). - Photo 1: Before install, after removing lower spoiler - Photo 4: After install, before cutting and reinstalling lower spoiler
2001 2500 sport fit on the frame was perfect with no drilling. Had to notch the cover and metal support at the bottom but would rather that than hang to low.

I installed this on a 2024 Ram 1500 classic. The instructions say that trimming the lower fascia is optional and to trim just one inch off in the middle. The hooks on each side required trimming as well and so I found the best look was to take about 2.5 inches all the way around with a vibrating saw. Very happy with the results.
Overall, the hitch was very well made and exceptionally sturdy. The box it was shipped in was damaged and the hitch had very minor scratches on it. I contacted E-trailer and they provided a credit for touch up paint very quickly. I chose to have someone else install it. The list of installer's E-trailer recommended apparently was out of date because the first two shops I called declined to do it and the next few were too far away from me to make it convenient. I found one on my own that actually sold the hitch but at a significantly higher price. I am sure I could have done it myself but finding someone to give me a hand to lift it in place is getting harder. Overall, very satisfied with the hitch and E-trailer.

This hitch came quickly and I believe was priced fairly for what you get. Unfortunately, as some other have posted, this hitch is intended for my vehicle (1996 Ford E350 RV) but did not fit correctly. I had a problem with the front holes not being spaced far enough apart for the bolts to fit. The rearmost bolts go into a oversized and slotted hole in the underside of the frame so there was no problem with those, but the front holes in the frame have to be drilled out to 17/32" for the supplied 1/2" bolts per the included directions, and I couldn't get the bolts in both sides. The bolt holes in the hitch needed to be approximately 1/4" further apart. Also, there is a relief cut out of the hitch that I assume is to miss a bump on the under side of the frame. This cut out is in the wrong location to miss the bump in the frame. I went ahead and torched the slot for the bolt a little longer on one side and made the cut out for the frame bump bigger on both sides. A little grinding, a little touch-up paint, and back on she went. Had to notch the lower plastic valance just a little bit to clear the receiver, which was expected. Actually had to cut it a lot less than I thought I would. The two safety chain loops sit right under the valance, but I don't for see the need to hook anything to those, so I opted to not hack up the valance at this time. I intend to put a bike rack on the front, and also use the hitch to get drug onto the beach at Pismo from time to time. Hopefully the cuts I made don't weaken the hitch for that purpose. The directions call for this to be a 20 minute install. Granted, I took off the bumper, but even if I hadn't, and the hitch was fitted correctly, I find it hard to believe anybody could get this done in anywhere near that time. As another reviewer said, now that it's on, I'm a happy camper, but it was a little bit of a job to get there.
Worked great for hauling my motorcycle on the front of my motorhome. Lets me pull my boat and have transportation when I get where I'm going.

Gave it 5stars cause it was so easy to install…only potential issue is its height…but…. In fairness to drill and cut brackets to raise it would require cutting “upper valance” something I’m not prepared to do….yet
I bought the front trailer hitch for a bike rack while pulling my camper and that works great. I decided to try it pushing the trailer into my garage and really like that. Takes some learning since only very small adjustments in steering wheel make quick change in the trailer directions. Installation was simple, but requires more strength than I have to lift hitch into position (tight fit) and bolt it in place. I found a local curt dealer who installed it for about a hundred bucks. Money well spent.

Installed on the front of a 2008 GMC 4x4 Sierra. Primarily utilized for a hitch mount snow plow (DK2). Installed without any modifications - works good with the plow. * The hitch sits low to the ground (stock suspension). I installed a 2" leveling kit from RC and that helped with clearance. I am satisfied with the quality of the product - will purchase again from Curt for my Durango
Front hitch fit perfectly on a 1995 K1500. I was able to install without modifying the front tow hooks nor the fascia. This is the hitch you want.
