Thule Passage Trunk Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - Hanging Style
The Thule Passage Trunk Bike Rake for 2 bikes is a good product. I used it to transport my mountain e-bike. I choose this particular unit because it can handle the weight 2 of bikes (non-e-bikes) and the weight of my e-bike is equivalent to weight of 2 bikes. Note: Must readjust the straps after mounting the bike to the rake.
great! works really well, and a lot easier to attach than I anticipated. We drove with bikes across the country from south west all the way to North east. solid rack!

Swagman XC2 Bike Rack for 2 bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
This is a well designed rack. Adding and removing bikes is quick & easy. Just set the bike on & slide the padded hook down onto the bike frame to secure it; no straps required. If only one bike is transported, it does not interfere with opening the trunk on our Tesla Model 3. With 2 bicycles the trunk cannot be opened. For 2 bikes the Swagman model that can tilt might be worth the extra 22 bucks. This rack uses a bolt in the receiver hitch instead of a pin. This locks it securely preventing it from moving in the hitch & rattling. It also requires a wrench to remove it, good for theft prevention but one more thing to keep track of. For storage on the vehicle the top bar folds down. For storage in the garage, the left & right bars fold up & you can hang it using one of the hooks.
So far so good. The rack wiggles a bit, but that is expected. I have it on my 2007 Corolla and I have hit 65+ on the highway with it and have not had a problem. I would recommend getting a locking pin. The one included is threaded, which aside from security, makes it harder to take the rack on and off. I would also look into a DIY way to secure the wheels better. I am using some bungee straps which do the job no problem. The two bikes I carry are at the racks capacity.

Swagman XTC2 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
I was sent additional mounting materials that don't correspond with my hitch or my bike rack. See the photo below. Are these materials for my Swagman STC2 Bike Rack Item #S64670?
Very stable and simple to use bike rack that works great with my road bike AND with my 29" Big Rippers. It makes loading and unloading the bikes a snap and they are safe and secure for traveling once loaded and secured. I have already logged over a thousand miles hauling bicycles with this rack and highly recommend it. I am a big fan of Yakima roof racks but, honestly, wish I would have went with this setup for my bikes from the beginning.

Swagman XTC4 Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
Rack is very sturdy and heavy duty. Instructions were terrible. Locking hitch pin would not thread correctly and ended up damaging it. Thankfully the threads on rack were fine and I was able to use the non-locking threaded pin. Would like a replacement locking pin ASAP
For the price, it's a good-quality, sturdy bike rack. I have used it about 5-7 times with no issues. I only used it for one adult and two kids' bikes, but I am sure it can handle four bikes as advertised. It's great that the rack folds upwards when it's not required.

Thule Passage 3 Bike Carrier - Trunk Mount
Way too light duty for what is advertised. It seemed to be made out of 1/2 inch electrical conduit. I would never put three bikes on that rack. I only had two bikes on the rack. While on trip through Idaho the wind was so strong that one of the bikes partially blew off the rack. We traveled 1,800 miles and upon arriving home I actually sawed the bike rack up and threw it away so that no one else would use it and cause an accident. I've already found a different brand that is HEAVY DUTY and I will stick with that brand.
This is definitely more of a 2 bike carrier vs 3 bikes. I had to take the front wheels off two bikes to get three bikes on this carrier. Also, it rubbed the paint off on the trunk of my Subaru legacy.

Yakima HangOut 2 Bike Rack - Trunk Mount - Adjustable Arms
When I started the search for a bike rack, I was so disappointed and upset to hear that I would need to install a hitch and spend even more money to buy another bike rack for my 2016 jeep renegade. I ordered this bike rack with a little hope but got a huge surprise! Not only is it super convenient and easy to install but I can fully use my trunk and not spend a ton of money!
Very nice, works well. The only thing that was an issue was with the "Anchor" part of assembly. The straps it came with were 2-3 ft. too short. So I had to replace/substitute my cargo straps for the Yakima top straps. Other than that, I'm pretty satisfied with this item.

Kuat NV 2.0 Base Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount - Matte Black
Love this rack and use it every day on my Toyota Tundra pickup. I ride my cruiser on the beach and loading/unloading bike/s is really easy. I travel to riding locations as well and even at highway speeds, two bikes remain secure and wobble-free. My bikes are expensive and the stand-up mode of securing them means no worn paint or scratches. If any complaint it's not made for the salty air here in FL and certain parts corrode...even with daily rinsing off. The rack is perfect for the fat and oversized wheels on bikes I've owned...even heavier ebikes...WILL BUY IT AGAIN.
I've had it for a year and I'm VERY happy with my bike rack. Love the built-in locks for deterrence and piece of mind. STRONGLY recommend getting an installer who knows what they're doing. I took it to my dealership and they were going to cut into metal... took it to an authorized installer and they had it securely bolted in in half an hour. I've already demonstrated it to two people out and about who wanted advice on hitch racks. It's a good, solid, easy to use rack! Zero regrets.

Curt Bike Rack for 5 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Tilting
The straps are junk and four of them tore within a week of using them. I also almost lost one bike because of the straps. If I could I would return this unit.
We used this bike rack for at least 2 RV trips. The third trip we took we lost one bike off of the rear most rack. Ended up having to replace this bike rack with one from another store. Would only recommend for local trips only.

Curt Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting
Nice bike rack ! Saddles are well made and none of the ears that hold the straps in place have broken like they have with other brands I've owned. It came with 1 strap for each saddle and the straps seem just a tad stretchy. I looked on line and found that Home Depot has a good price for the straps so I now have 2 straps on each saddle. I've got it on a 1&1/4 hitch, but it came with an adapter for a 2 inch. It holds 3 road bikes. I used it all the time.
Received the bike rack in about 3 days! Assembled and had it on the car in less than 30 min. Very sturdy and I love that it came with the 2inch adapter. Our last bike rack did not fold down. This one does. Great feature so I don’t have to remove it

Curt Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Tilting
This rack has worked well for us. I fits the Curt hitch perfectly. It is easy to attach bicycles securely. We can get three adult bicycles on this hitch (see photo). There are sufficient means to protect against sway.
This Curt bike carrier is ideal for my front hitch that I recently installed on my 2005 GMC. I had to remove my front tag holder for clearance but it works perfectley. It can be easily removed and installed on the back hitch when I'm not towing my camper. This is a well built and solid bike carrier. It was delivered very timely and well packaged.

Swagman Chinook Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
Works for my fat tire bike. Once it's set up, it's easy to install and remove. I had to cut out some of the plastic cladding on the underside of my bumper on my 2014 Subaru Outback. Good value. I've had no issues.
GI love the Rack, it is easy for me to handle, (as a 89 yearold rider.), two bikes ride and fit very nicely. Like how it folds down, and how it folds to open the tailgate . Great quality for the money, I would highly recommend this rack

Swagman Trailhead Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting
This is a very solid product! I have used it for over a year now and love it! I have had up to 3 bikes on this without a problem and have traveled over 8 hours in the car one way with absolutely no issues. Many other bike racks like this one that I see on other cars look unstable this is not unstable in anyway. I did have to file some of the paint off of the rack to get it to fit in my 1 and 1/4" hitch but once that was done it has been perfect. I also bought the locking hitch bolt which is awesome too.
Well built and good quality. So glad I can haul bikes easier with our Honda Pilot now!

Yakima HangOut 3 Bike Rack - Trunk Mount - Adjustable Arms
My wife and I love our bike rack and use it regularly with ease. Thank you
I have a 2017 Acura RDX. I had to be creative for the hooks and straps to work. The lower strap hook is not compatible with my hatch. And I really didn't want to have them hook under my plastic bumper, so I shut the straps in the hatch and hooked them to 2 hooks I have in the trunk. Works perfect. A picture is attached. I have a Cannondale Bad Girl, which is the dumbest bike ever designed ( but that is a different review forum) so I had to be creative getting it mounted like I usually do. Works great. The only reason I gave this a 4 star is because I don't believe the hooks are really compatible with the RDX, unless you have an awesome spouse willing to get shut in the trunk and place the hooks for you while you tighten from the outside. etrailer.com has the best customer service I have dealt with in a while. Fantastic crew!

Swagman XC-Extended Bike Rack for 2 Recumbent Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
Well, I like the rack. It was sold as a low sway rack but it is not. The movement is mostly where the bar that comes out of the hitch receiver and hooks onto the main bar of the rack I think this connects with a pin so there’s a lot of movement here. My other problem is getting a replacement part. I lost the long hook /ratcheting handle that holds the bike on the rack. I’ve been trying to get a replacement from swagman and their website says that it is out of stock and has been so for several months. So my bike rack is now just a paperweight. I would have given it another star if I could get the replacement part.
it was easy to put together. My 66" wheelbase recumbent fits! Good price. I have been looking for a bike rack that fits for awhile. FOUND IT!
A Closer Look at the RockyMounts MonoRail Bike Rack on a 2024 Kia Sorento
Hi, it's Bruce with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at our RockyMounts MonoRail bike rack on our 2024 Kia Sorento. What I do like about this bike rack is you can carry a variety of bikes, and the weight capacity is 60 pounds, which enables you to carry your e-bikes. It does have the hook style for your front tire plus the front tire support to keep that from wobbling around too much. And if we go to the back, we have the classic strap on the rear tire. What's good about that is you can tie down carbon frame bikes without damaging the frame, or if you just have a nice paint job on your bike and you don't wanna mess it up.

A Closer Look at the Benton Shifts&Grins Bike Rack on a 2024 Kia Sorento
Hi, Matt with Etrailer. Today we're gonna be talking about the Benton Shifts&Grins on the back of our 2024 Kia Sorento. This is gonna be a great rack if you're looking for something that's not gonna take up a whole lot of space in your garage, since that shank does fold up, and it's gonna work with a lot of different types of bikes. The first type of bike this is gonna be able to work with is gonna be those heavy e-bikes with a weight capacity of 55 pounds. What's nice about that, that's gonna be per tray, and if you do get the add on later on, you'll be able to carry four bikes at that same weight capacity, which is pretty uncommon for four bike carriers. Now, you will have a drawback with the four bike though, and that's gonna be, you won't be able to tilt this back as much.

And that's gonna be because with this shape of the rack you can pretty much just lift up those arms and then walk in to get closer to your bike and make this process a little bit easier. And before we really take off this rack, I'm actually gonna focus on more of the specs. So this is gonna have a weight capacity of 40 pounds per bike and we'll be able to carry up to three of 'em.

How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Saris MHS on our 2023 Kia Sorento. The MHS is the Modular Hitch System. In this configuration, we have it set up to carry two bikes. It is a wheel-mounted system, where you have a front and rear wheel arm, that's gonna make contact with the wheels. If you have a unconventional frame bike, a nicer paint job, a carbon-fiber bike, step-through, any of those things where you don't want contact or contact's not possible, wheel-mount is gonna be your option. The MHS also has a single strap on your rear wheel to help stabilize, and a front wheel fixed chock for your, and what that's gonna do is basically get a tighter grip on your bike, making it one of the more sturdy wheel-mounted carriers that we have.

The Sport Rider SE is a frame mount bike carrier that can support two bikes up to 80 pounds each. And that is a pretty massive weight for a bike carrier this size. So that's impressive in itself. The type of person that would go for something like this is a person that does not mind contact to the frame. So if you have a carbon fiber bike or you have a bike that's an unconventional frame, like a step through, you may need an adapter for the step through.

Installation Guide for the Yakima StageTwo Bike Rack for 2 Bikes on a 2022 Kia Sorento
How's it goin' neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Yakima Stage Two on our 2022 Kia Sorento. The Stage Two is a wheel-mounted bike carrier, and this is gonna help the person that has a bike that they don't want any contact to secure it to the carrier. So if you have a carbon fiber bike, unconventional frame, or a nice paint job and you just don't want that contact, this is gonna be your best option. One of the great things about it, it does have a tilting feature that's gonna allow you to tip over your bike, and it gives you a really decent angle to open up your rear hatch. That's gonna allow you to gain access to your cargo area and keep your bikes loaded at the same time. Now we're gonna take our bike off of the carrier to take a closer look at some of the features.
Test Fitting the Inno Tire Hold HD Bike Rack on a 2022 Kia Sorento
How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Tire Hold HD from Inno on our 2022 Kia Sorento. The Tire Hold HD is a wheel-mounted bike carrier, and that's gonna allow you to secure your bike to the carrier without making any contact to the frame. That's gonna work mostly for your bikes to have unconventional frames, carbon fiber bikes, or bikes to have a nice paint job to it where you just want no contact to the frame at all. So let's take a look at some of the features as far as having your bike installed on your carrier. Your carrier does have a tilt that's gonna allow you to lower your carrier. In this case with the Sorento, you're not gonna quite make clearance without making contact with our handlebars, so that's something to consider that you may not have access to the back of your vehicle when you have the Tire Hold HD.
DIY 2022 Kia Sorento Installation for the Saris SuperClamp EX Bike Rack for 2 Bikes
How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the SuperClamp EX from Saris on our 2022 Kia Sorento. The SuperClamp EX is a cradle-style bike carrier that has a wheel mount securing system. So essentially, you're gonna have hooks on your wheels in addition to the cradle straps to hold your bike on the carrier. What's unique about the SuperClamp is you have a front and rear hook. A lot of times when you have a wheel-mounted system, it's just a single hook and one single cradle. A wheel-mounted bike carrier is gonna work well for a person that has either a carbon fiber frame that you really don't want contact to, or if you have a nice paint job or an unconventional frame, it makes it a lot easier for those types of bikes.
Setting up the Kuat Piston Pro X Bike Rack for 2 Bikes on a 2022 Kia Sorento
How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Kuat Piston Pro X on our 2022 Kia Sorento. The Piston Pro X is a wheel-mount platform-style bike carrier that's made for people who want to carry their bike securely without making any contact to the frame. So if you have a carbon fiber frame or a unconventional style bike, this allows you to secure it just the same as your average bicycle. One real cool feature with this carrier is the fact that you have a tilt. You're just gonna push your lever down and lean your carrier over. And as you can see, it gives you a great amount of clearance where you're not gonna really run the risk of any interference with your pedal or handlebars, giving you full access to the back of your vehicle.
What our customers are saying:
