Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/Barb Inlets - Class III - Efficient
Works fine and wasn't difficult to install. I didn't take the bumper cover off. Worked from top and below. Fashioned an aluminum brace.
The Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/Barb Inlets - Class III - Efficient did not come with the correct radiator transmission fitting for my 2004 Toyota Tacoma doublecab Prerunner v6 automatic transmission truck. However, I was able to use the fitting provided as a "splice connector" between tubing sections. I did not have to cut or trim off any of the stock rubber tubing to make the splice connection, but I did choose to use a couple of line clamps to secure the tubing to the front frame crossmember. Because of existing AC condensor tubing, braces, and other items in the way, placement of the transmission cooler on my vehicle will ONLY fit in the upper passenger side of the radiator, in front of the AC condenser. It was extremely difficult to get the cooler into this position. Completely removing the entire front grille would have helped, but I chose NOT to because all of the 21 year old plastic clip grille fasteners would inevitably break and need replacement ($$$). I ended up accidentally bending some of cooler fins when trying to get it into position. Not sure if I can straighten out these bent cooler fins after the install but I am going to try. I also don't know how much additional transmission cooling I am now getting because I don't have a temperature gauge connected to my transmission. I simply have to trust the cooler is doing its job.

Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/Barb Inlets - Class II - Efficient
Have a 1998 Lincoln Mark 8 w/ 4 speed automatic which retails for no less than $ 4000.00 - Having this potential monkey on my back , I decided to invest in a trans cooler. Fabricated mounts and bolted on , used double flare connection to cooling line w/ barbed fitting ; barbed fitting @ radiator fitting. Used 2 hose clamps @ cooler, one clamp on each barbed fitting . Could only mount with fittings to left ,fluid leaves radiator , enters cooler @ top ( to reduce pump load ), comes out of bottom & returns to tranny. No trans temp. guage, but cooler gets hot @ idle, verifying cooler works . Well constructed and sturdy, easy to mount ; comes with instructions.
It’s been almost a year since I installed this transmission cooler. I would say it’s gone without a hitch, but THAT would be inaccurate. I also installed a hitch! I placed great confidence in this transmission cooler to do its job as my 2015 Honda Accord V6 served as my truck during our move this past year. Never a problem (ok, I’ll say it... It went without a hitch!). etrailer customer service was EXCELLENT! There was a question during installation that arose from my particular model of car having a Transmission Fluid Warmer that in effect made identification of the transmission outlet and inlet reversed according to the instructions. The technician actually read and considered what I was saying, instead of just assuming the instructions applied to my vehicle. Thanks to their input, I correctly reversed the directions and got the correct solution! BTW... I attached some pics of the correct hose routing for the 2015 Honda Accord V6. Note how you simply remove the short hose shown in the first pic, and connect the hoses from the transmission cooler! Note that I mounted the transmission cooler vertically so the hoses would reach. The last pic is showing the transmission fluid warmer (just as an FYI).

Derale Direct-Mount Remote Cooler Kit for 1987 - 2006 Jeep Wrangler
I assume it's great cause my transmission still runs cool. Only issue I've had is not securing a hose well and my front drive shaft knicked it, causing a leak. My fault not the kit. For the TJ, this is tops. I tow small trailer. Only heats up at idle and never above 225.

Derale Dyno-Cool Tube-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit - Class II - Economy
Wanted to give my Honda better ability to handle a tow. this baby does the job. Transmission definitely cooler operation since the install. The install was simple and straight forward.
I purchased this for my C6 Corvette A6 transmission. I did, however, bypass the radiator and only use the transmission cooler for the C6. I purchased and used the Derale Radiator Adapter fitting 259-13035 for both the top and bottom and just capped them off to keep debris out of the reservoir. I also had to make some custom mounting brackets. This is an excellent product and it keeps the tranny in a great temperature range.

Derale 17" Frame Rail Transmission Cooler with 11/32" Hose Barb Inlets
Here are some comments and photos regarding the above-referenced order. The D 13220 Derale transmission cooler was purchased as a replacement cooler for the primary-transmission cooler for a 2005 Nissan Frontier LE 4WD. This was done to prevent cross contamination of transmission fluid with engine coolant caused by a possible rupture of the primary-transmission-cooler core located in the radiator. Due to numerous consumer complaints regarding this issue, I decided to take preemptive action and avoid expensive transmission and radiator repairs. This Nissan also has an auxiliary transmission cooler located in upper front of the radiator on the passenger's side of the truck. The Derale cooler was installed on the center of the bumper frame about 2 3/4 inches in front of the air-conditioning condenser. In order to install the Derale cooler, two strips of steel 7 inches long, 2 inches wide and an eighth of an inch thick were attached to the bumper frame, see photos attached. Since the factory-installed auxiliary cooler's outbound hose barb is just to the left and above the Derale cooler's top/inbound hose barb, connecting the outbound and inbound hose lines of the two coolers was fairly easy. The return line hose barb to transmission is just to the left and almost parallel with bottom/outbound hose barb on the Derale cooler, see photos attached. Thus, connecting the Derale cooler's outbound line to the line that returns cooled fluid back to the transmission was also easy. The primary cooler was by-passed by cutting the outbound line from the transmission before the connection to the radiator and splicing it to the inbound line of the auxiliary cooler. The two lines were connected via a metal tube purchased from a Nissan dealer. The most difficult part of the installation was attaching the steel mounting strips to the front bumper frame. Since I do not have an electric welder, I used liquid steel to make the bonds. The next step in this process will be to replace the transmission fluid and filter. The transmission was last serviced at 81k and the vehicle's current odometer reading is 114k, so it's time for a routine fluid and filter change. Neither the transmission fluid nor the engine coolant shows any sign of cross contamination. After 33k, the transmission fluid still has a red color consistent with replacement fluid I've purchased. Ideally, in order to insure that the both coolers provide adequate cooling for the transmission, it would be a good idea to install a transmission temperature gauge. I understand that most automatic transmissions are designed to operate at approximately 175 degrees Fahrenheit. However, in lieu of a temperature gauge, I will monitor the transmission fluid's color and smell. If the fluid changes color from red to brown or has a burnt smell, the next step will be to install a transmission pan with added fluid capacity or replace the factory radiator with one that has dependable transmission cooling core and connect it as the primary transmission cooler and have it cool in conjunction the auxiliary and the Derale coolers. The attached photos were made with the skid plate, spoiler and lower grill removed. In the photograph labeled Bottom View of Cooler Mount, you may notice a second hole in the mounting bracket, which is 3 1/4 inches lower than the actual mounting hole used. A second mounting location was added so the Derale cooler could be lowered in the event it impeded air flow to air to the air-conditioning condenser or radiator in a manner that reduces their operating efficiency. However, so far, the current location of the cooler has caused no issues. Please keep in mind that the foregoing comments were made by a retired accountant - not a mechanic by any stretch of the imagination.

Derale Series 9000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/ NPT Inlets - Class V - Extra Efficient
Seems very solid installed easily works well!
Easy to install and has worked great on my '06 4Runner v6. A little extra piece of mind for the mountains. This size just barely fits on the passenger side of the radiator - there is a central, vertical support bar behind the grill that prevents a wider cooler from fitting.

Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/Barb Inlets - Class IV - Efficient
Well constructed. Could use more hose for the install. I had to buy another length to install it. In the photo you can see I fabricated brackets for it so it would be able to get better airflow. Not noticing a real big difference in cooling but I’m anxious to see how it goes when I tow my 29 ft. TT with my 17 Suburban with a 5.3 ltr. I’ve been towing without one with no issues but any help in extending the life of the tranny is worth it.
Keeps my Tundra’s transmission tamed, especially while towing.

Derale Series 9000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/ NPT Inlets - Class IV - Extra Efficient
My vehicle originally did not have a transmission cooler. After warming up, my transmission temperature would typically be 100 degrees higher than the ambient air temperature, whether moving or stopped. Towing the largest enclosed U-Haul trailer (6'x12') would raise the temperature to about 120 degrees above ambient. After adding this cooler, the transmission stays about 70 degrees higher than the ambient air temperature on the highway, and 80-85 degrees above ambient while parked or driving in slow traffic. I haven't towed that same U-Haul trailer since adding the cooler, but towing a much larger (8.5'x20') enclosed trailer raises the temperature to about 110 degrees above ambient. If you can find a spot the cooler will physically fit, it should work for your vehicle. You may have to get creative to solidly mount it. I used an angle grinder to remove part of a factory brace. When doing work in this area of your vehicle, be careful not to puncture the AC condenser! If you do, like I did, you will have to replace it. Some AutoZone locations will rent a vacuum pump and manifold gauge set. Doing your own repair means the total repair cost is only the sum of the new AC condenser and refrigerant. The inlet/outlet NPT fittings on this cooler need to be tighter than you think. I was worried about stripping the threads, and didn't tighten them enough at first. I ended up removing my bumper cover multiple times to tighten them until they stopped leaking. I found the best way to detect a leak was to zip-tie a folded paper towel below the fitting. If it turned red, there was a leak. For my application, I would have preferred built-in 3/8" hose barb inlets instead of the 1/2" NPT fittings.
Great quality! Simple installation, awesome product.

Derale Atomic-Cool Remote Transmission Cooler Kit w/ Fan, -6 AN Inlets - Class V
The fan is nice, the brass compression barbed fittings did not work. They leaked from both threads. I paid for fancy with a quickness 2 day shipping, took 5 days. I’m just glad I wasn’t too much in a hurry to cool my dads transmission for his road trip.
Everything was included to install the cooler and instruction sheet is useful. Hardest issue is where to mount. No leaks so far. Should help trans temps while towing.

Derale Dyno-Cool Tube-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit - Class I - Economy
Removing the front bumper/grill on my Odyssey was a must! Installation was pretty much straight forward once you confirm the feed, and return connection points. Mounting the actual cooler to the front radiator was the easiest part of the job. My Odyssey made two 650 mile trips pulling 2050 lbs with no problems so I’m very happy with the cooler!
good product form a great company ! my only complaint is this was listed as for my specific truck, but the "insta-dapt" supplied doesn't fit the Dodge truck of my year. even doing my research ahead of time, it seems to be hit or miss whether it would fit as some of them come with 5/16 fittings and some (like mine) come with 9/16 fittings. it doesnt matter the engine size, even other 3.7L dodge trucks of the same year have 5/16 fittings... I think Dodge made a change middle year, but never let the consumer know as mine is a late year '04. no dig deal as I was able to assemble it anyways and got it up and running great and both the radiator and trans are running much cooler now ! I attached the D12902 to the bumper as you will see in attached images. 2 attached images are just before finishing, bumper hasnt been attached yet, one of them is after everything was complete.
