Thule Passage Trunk Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - Hanging Style

I choose this particular unit because it can handle the weight 2 of bikes (non-e-bikes) and the weight of my e-bike is equivalent to weight of 2 bikes. Note: Must readjust the straps after mounting the bike to the rake.
great! works really well, and a lot easier to attach than I anticipated. We drove with bikes across the country from south west all the way to North east. solid rack!

Swagman XC2 Bike Rack for 2 bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
This is a well designed rack. Adding and removing bikes is quick & easy. Just set the bike on & slide the padded hook down onto the bike frame to secure it; no straps required. If only one bike is transported, it does not interfere with opening the trunk on our Tesla Model 3. With 2 bicycles the trunk cannot be opened. For 2 bikes the Swagman model that can tilt might be worth the extra 22 bucks. This rack uses a bolt in the receiver hitch instead of a pin. This locks it securely preventing it from moving in the hitch & rattling. It also requires a wrench to remove it, good for theft prevention but one more thing to keep track of. For storage on the vehicle the top bar folds down. For storage in the garage, the left & right bars fold up & you can hang it using one of the hooks.
So far so good. The rack wiggles a bit, but that is expected. I have it on my 2007 Corolla and I have hit 65+ on the highway with it and have not had a problem. I would recommend getting a locking pin. The one included is threaded, which aside from security, makes it harder to take the rack on and off. I would also look into a DIY way to secure the wheels better. I am using some bungee straps which do the job no problem. The two bikes I carry are at the racks capacity.

Thule Passage 3 Bike Carrier - Trunk Mount
Way too light duty for what is advertised. It seemed to be made out of 1/2 inch electrical conduit. I would never put three bikes on that rack. I only had two bikes on the rack. While on trip through Idaho the wind was so strong that one of the bikes partially blew off the rack. We traveled 1,800 miles and upon arriving home I actually sawed the bike rack up and threw it away so that no one else would use it and cause an accident. I've already found a different brand that is HEAVY DUTY and I will stick with that brand.
This is definitely more of a 2 bike carrier vs 3 bikes. I had to take the front wheels off two bikes to get three bikes on this carrier. Also, it rubbed the paint off on the trunk of my Subaru legacy.

Swagman XTC2 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
I was sent additional mounting materials that don't correspond with my hitch or my bike rack. See the photo below. Are these materials for my Swagman STC2 Bike Rack Item #S64670?
Very stable and simple to use bike rack that works great with my road bike AND with my 29" Big Rippers. It makes loading and unloading the bikes a snap and they are safe and secure for traveling once loaded and secured. I have already logged over a thousand miles hauling bicycles with this rack and highly recommend it. I am a big fan of Yakima roof racks but, honestly, wish I would have went with this setup for my bikes from the beginning.

Swagman XTC4 Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
Rack is very sturdy and heavy duty. Instructions were terrible. Locking hitch pin would not thread correctly and ended up damaging it. Thankfully the threads on rack were fine and I was able to use the non-locking threaded pin. Would like a replacement locking pin ASAP
For the price, it's a good-quality, sturdy bike rack. I have used it about 5-7 times with no issues. I only used it for one adult and two kids' bikes, but I am sure it can handle four bikes as advertised. It's great that the rack folds upwards when it's not required.

Curt 2 Bike Platform Rack for Fat Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount - Tilting
Excellent build quality. Simple to assemble. Included hoops for mountain bikes & fat tire bikes.
I received the C18085-FB Fat Tire Bike Rack yesterday. It took me about 1/2 hour to assemble the pieces. The instructions could be a bit more clear, especially when it comes to the washers but I figured it out. It appears to be a quality product. I have not had the chance to try it out but eTrailer was very helpful in helping me on the purchase. It came in 2 boxes because I ordered the Fat Tire mount which included for regular or mounting bike tire holders as well. You would pay an additional $50.00 or so to get the tire holders that are required for fat tire bikes. My tires width measures 4" wide. Another nice feature is it can support 1 1/4" or 2" hitches. It is harder to find a bike rack for fat tire bikes that would work with a 1 1/4" hitch. Most only support 2".

Yakima HangOut 2 Bike Rack - Trunk Mount - Adjustable Arms
When I started the search for a bike rack, I was so disappointed and upset to hear that I would need to install a hitch and spend even more money to buy another bike rack for my 2016 jeep renegade. I ordered this bike rack with a little hope but got a huge surprise! Not only is it super convenient and easy to install but I can fully use my trunk and not spend a ton of money!
Very nice, works well. The only thing that was an issue was with the "Anchor" part of assembly. The straps it came with were 2-3 ft. too short. So I had to replace/substitute my cargo straps for the Yakima top straps. Other than that, I'm pretty satisfied with this item.

Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
Such a fabulous bike rack!! The rack is simple to mount onto the van’s hitch. It’s easy to add or take off the outer rack either before or after putting it on the hitch. The two part design is a great feature for taking a bike to the shop for repair, for when it’s just the two of us, or we can quickly add the second half for two more bikes. It folds up against the back of the van easily and securely. When needed it holds four adult bikes without any problems. Bikes are SO enjoyable to load onto this rack - way better than racks that support the bike by the frame. I have a Y frame bike so it was always challenging to load it onto a traditional rack. The tire supports move to accommodate any size bike. Bikes that have the lower frame get mounted closer to the vehicle for each section of the rack. The rack is stable when driving, even when fully loaded. The locking feature is nice, especially for when we’re away from home and the bikes stay on the rack overnight. Be careful when lifting as the rack itself is heavy.
I've been using a Yakima RidgeBack 4-Bike for many years however I needed to find a bike rack that would transport my wife's new Trek Verve +2 Lowstep E-Bike. Since it is a Step-through and weighs 52 lbs. with the battery, I was uncomfortable hanging the bike off the RidgeBack. I typically only transport 2 bikes however occasionally need to pack up 3 or 4 bikes. After much research, I decided on the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE4. I loved the fact that I could take off the extension and make it a two back rack and appreciated the price. I was however concerned the E-Bike might be too heavy as the specifications note a 50 lb. per bike limit so I reached out directly to Hollywood Bikes. I asked if they thought it'd be alright to place the E-Bike closest to the vehicle with the battery removed. I heard back from them within 24 hours and they agreed, with the battery removed it would be fine. I ordered the SE4 on Monday morning and it arrived Thursday. It was well packaged and easy to assemble using the instructions. I had absolutely no issues and it went together perfectly. The rack is of very good quality and sturdy even when loaded up. I really like that the bikes can be locked down and everything, including the supplied cable is keyed alike. I was able set it up for only 3 bikes as that is all we're taking to Florida next week. I'll follow up after our trip.

Saris Bones 2 Bike Rack - Trunk Mount - Adjustable Arms
So far really great! I love the stability my bike has on the rack, fit for my 2021 Honda Civic, and the quality of the material engineered into the design to prevent damage to the cars paint/parts.
Works great even using an electric bike like my Aventon Soltera.
Yakima SwingDaddy Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2016 Jeep Patriot
Today, on our 2016 Jeep Patriot, we're going to be test-fitting the Yakima Swingdaddy 4-bike rack for 2-inch hitches, part number Y02464. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's take a closer look and show off some of the features. The biggest feature about this rack is they can swing away from the vehicle, so you have full rear hatch access, which is pretty unique for a hanging style back rack. To do that, we'll come to this handle right here. We'll unscrew it from the back all the way until it hangs down, and then we'll lift up on this gray tab here, which will release it, and push it out a little bit. We'll pull it out until it's about 90 degrees or so from the vehicle or before we make contact with the tire to the vehicle, and then we'll swing it around until you hear that click, and then push it the rest of the way.

Today on our 2016 Jeep Patriot we're going to be test fitting the Thule Doubletrack Pro 2-bike platform rack for 1-1/4" and 2" hitches, part number TH9054. We already have a bike installed on the rack. Let's take a closer look and show off some of the features. How this bike is gripped to the bike rack, we're going to have three points of contact. We're going to have this frame clamp up at the top here as well as these two wheel straps on either side. The wheel cradles themselves, by lifting up these gray handles, are adjustable to accommodate bikes of different sizes, and these clamps do move out of the way for easy loading and unloading. Let's go ahead and take the bike off and set it aside.

One of the more prominent features about this bike rack is the fact that it can tilt away from the vehicle to gain rear hatch access with both bikes still attached. To do that we have this convenient handle at the front. Holding onto the bike rack, we'll pull that handle towards us and let it come forward.

Today on our 2016 Jeep Patriot we're going to be test fitting the Thule T2 Classic 2 Bike Rack. Part number TH9044. We already have a bike installed on the rack, let's take a closer look and show off some of the features. One of the more prominent features of this bike rack is the fact that it can tilt away from the vehicle with two bikes still attached to get to our rear hatch. In order to do that we'll pull this silver pin at the base first, then pull this lever towards while holding onto the bike rack and letting it come down. Now we have full access to our rear hatch to get what we need, and plenty of space in between the hatch and the bike rack. Lift it back up into position by just lifting up on the bike rack until you hear it click.

We have two cradles in place holding our bike down with three straps, two on our frame and one as our anti-way strap here in the back. We are going to pull down and lift up to release our straps. Then we will be able to pull our bike right strait off our rack and set it off to the side. With our bike out of the way, always suggest that you replace your straps so you don't lose or damage any of them. We will take a few measurements here, the first one I am want to take is overall added to our vehicle with our arms hanging out here.
Thule Roof Bike Racks Review - 2016 Jeep Patriot
Today on our 2016 Jeep Patriot, we're doing a test fit of the Thule Sprint T-Track Roof Mounted Bike Rack. That part number is TH569. Now we already have our bike loaded up. The first thing we're going to show you is how we secure that down. Here at our back wheel cradle, we have a ratcheting strap with a bushing on there to protect your tire. We're just going to push on that grey button there and pull that strap through. Up at the front we have a skewer 00:00:33, it's a little different than most skewers you're going to see on your bike racks.

Next, I'd like to show you how the function works of tilting. The bike rack folds in like so. Let's get a measurement on the full length, it's about 24 inches to the outest edge.With it down, it's about 11 inches and the closest point is about five-and-a-half inches.
Yakima FullTilt Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Jeep Patriot
Today on our 2015 Jeep Patriot we're test fitting the Yakima FullTilt. This is a folding and tilting 4-Bike rack. It's been designed so you can use it with inch and a quarter or two inch hitches, part number on it is Y02462. The FullTilt is going to have three cradles that are going to hold each bike in place, going to have two here for the top frame two, then also an anti-sway cradle here on the back. It does a really good job of keeping everything held in place. To release them, they use what are called zip strips. I like the zip strips.
