Best GMC Sierra 2500 Hitch Covers

The 2 1/2 inch is hard to find, but not at etrailer

This is the only rubber one that I could find for a 2-1/2" hitch. Fits snug. Not sure long term yet, but worth it to keep the hitch from rusting as fast.

The hitch sensor functions great. The plastic cover, not so much, When using a trailer hitch , the cover does not flex up enough and has snapped off breaking the plastic hinge. This happened going over a dip where the truck and trailer did a V while going across. Since then the hitch cover has been ripped off by a car wash. Because of the broken clip. Both clips are broken and I must remove and store the cover while using a hitch.

Says it works on 2021 and newer. Not true, I put it on my 2022 GMC Sierra 2500 and would make tailgate lock out on me, I called Curt and they said it’s not designed to work with 2022 trucks.

Does what it needs to do, nothing fancy. Stays in the hitch receiver without any issue.

Super easy to install. It took 20 minutes. My only issue was finding a 1/2in hex bit socket to shoot the large top bolt. It's not a common size. Once that obstacle was overcome, installation was a snap. My bike rack and trailer are secure and safe on the hitch. I'm happy with my purchase.

This is fantastic. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. It's strong, heavy, beautiful, and reflects credit on the VFW. I'm completely pleased with it.

I ordered 2 items - a trailer hitch cover for the Texas Aggies and a windshield cover to block snow and ice from accumulating on the main window of our new ford f-250. The items were delayed in coming from the vendor to the shipping center and the team for etrailer was amazing in communicating why there was a delay, the status of the product, and when I could expect to receive it. These are planned holiday gifts for my Wife that I had planned for well in advance so a delay was not an issue - the fact that the eTrailer team kept me apprised of the items status however is the main reason for my writing this review. The customer service was PHENOMENAL. The items arrived and are as ordered. Both fit the vehicle they were ordered for (Wife's truck), and she will be appreciative of them. The hitch cover has her 'bling' for her TX Aggies and compliments well with the color scheme, Aggie colors. The cover will protect the piping from exposure and rusting, enabling our hitch usage for towing out trailers, and when not towing, have the Bling proudly on display. Still working great. No trailer hitch dents in my tailgate.

Mine is erratic in its operation. Most of the time it does not prevent the upper tailgate from opening when the sensor cover is in the open position (ie. a hitch assembly is installed in the vehicle receiver). That is exactly the operation that this device is supposed to prevent. It also seems to create some confusion with my truck as after it incorrectly allowing the upper tailgate to open, at times it will not ally my full tailgate to open even though the tail lights blink etc in response to me pushing the full tailgate button on the tailgate. I think this device creates a false sense of security the way it operate in my case. Perhaps the magnetic switch in the cover is malfunctioning.
