Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2"
The hitch looks good but tore through the box from shipping and has the powder coat rubbed off on the side that faces out. I had to touch up with paint . Is there anything you can do for me? I needed it so don’t want to exchange or return. Thank you
Product is ok overall but it was packaged carelessly and arrived poking out of the box. No padding or support whatsoever. Paint was scuffed off the edges from being bounced and dragged around during shipping. Additional smaller boxes were inside the main box and all had holes or were also crushed. Response from seller was that the packing worked as intended.

My entire experience with etrailer.com was outstanding. This Receiver was exactly as advertised and fit beautifully. The website is fantastic and easy to navigate. The customer service is superb! When the product arrived, it was packaged expertly and easy to handle. The product was great, but it is everything else that will keep me coming back for all my trailer needs. I can't recommend etrailer.com highly enough. Stop looking everywhere else because etrailer is the only site you need!!
read instructions !

Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2"
The fit was poor and took several hours - maybe 5hrs I think to install. Optional instructions should be mandatory instructions like ways to spread the hitch since it was around 1/4 inch too narrow. The current instructions are backwards in order. Wasted a lot of time and with contacting support. Also a big challenge to remove the 1-1/4 inch receiver bolts to replace with the bolts for the 2" receiver - then need a ton of work to remove with lube, heat, breaker bar, impact, etc. And to put in the new bolts required oil and lube.
Very easy to install it, fits perfect and made very strong. Someone really used his head when he designed it. Only one thing- bolts don’t fit they are little smaller but I used the original so all good. Thank you etrailer

Hitch and wiring harness works great on my 2015 Ford Explorer. install only took about 30 minutes. would definitely recommend purchasing from Etrailer.
This was a perfect fit for my 2012 Explorer. It looks and functions great and the price cannot be beat! eTrailer is a great company; you can tell this by the organization and details on their website. Tracking the package in transit is a breeze and items arrive on time. The hitch is solid. The moment you take it out of the box, you’ll know you got a great part. I was able to install it myself, though it would have certainly been better to have someone help hold it in position just to get a bolt started on each side. In any case, it does not take long to install. All hardware was included and directions are minimal and straightforward. You’ll need some WD-40 to get the exhaust off its hangers, a strap to support the exhaust while it’s lowered, a socket set, and a torque wrench to tighten the bolts to specs. I did not have a torque wrench that went all the way up to the required torque value, so I ended up purchasing one at the local box store. If you don’t like acquiring tools, you could always ask a neighbor or maybe rent one from the local auto parts store. In any case, with the new wrench, as well as the 4-pole wiring harness and magnetic trailer lights (also purchased from etrailer), I still came out way ahead of what it would have cost to put on a hitch at the dealer. In essence, the $450 bike rack that goes in the hitch receiver and the quality torque wrench ($80) serve as “free” gifts to the family/myself for the DYI installation. Finally, some might want a Ford OEM hitch setup but the curved design of this particular custom hitch looks great. Happy hauling!

Fit well and I have towed several times from Stroudsburg to Baltimore (a four hour trip each way).
Great customer care and service from Chris and the Etrailer employee's. Got back to me to let me know of a item was back ordered from a manufacturer, didn't try to over sell me on products, asked what I'd like to do. Helped me make changes to my purchase that I needed right away. Two days later they now have my business shopping loyalty from here on out. I can't thank you guys enough.

Ordered on a Thursday with arrival expected the following Monday. Arrived that Saturday! Instructions for the hitch and wiring were pretty good, but would still prove challenging for a novice DIY to complete. Took several hours to install. Finished product was clean and seamless.
I was pleased with both the price and the packaging, as well as the product. Unlike some other vendors, the hitch receiver was properly boxed. Installed on 2022 Explorer, used video from 2023 Explorer. Installed it by myself with little difficulty. Quite happy with fit and finish.

This hitch did not fit as delivered. The spacing between the vertical mounting ears was too narrow to embrace the vehicle's frame rails by 5/8 inch! As the original owner of my 1996 Ford Explorer, I attest to its integrity and history of no damage and no abuse. I am a professional mechanic and was comfortable with, and capable of, spreading the attaching flange, "ears" gap a bit wider to fit the car's frame rails. It was much more of a chore to install than expected. All is OK now. It was disturbing to view the fine print at the top of the instruction page, 757230, which states, " Will not fit with full size spare tire". That contradicts your web page's guidelines and applications charts.. This hitch, in fact, does accommodate the full size spare on my vehicle. The quality of constriction is good and the powdercoat finish is good The packaging was good. The hardware kit and diagrams are good. The free freight is remarkable and the two-days delivery time was astonishing!
The hitch itself is well constructed but does not fit the Explorer without modification to make it wider to fit over the framerails. I had to take it to my mechanic to be altered to fit.

I had a little trouble starting out buy the etrailer team was patience and assured me that the trailer hitch fit my 22 explorer. To be honest I found a video for the installation and it showed the the couple pulling down the plastic trim and sliding hitch up into cavity above the trim cover.
2021 Ford Explorer. Perfect fit! My concern was delivery time, spoke to Lori at etrailer, she assured me that the order would be processed and shipped in a timely manner as my hitch was “in stock”. She was right on the money. The instructions were simple and easy to follow. I installed the hitch in a parking lot with no problems. Thank you etrailer and Lori for a personalized experience as a consumer; something that is far too rare these days. HIGHLY RECOMMEND etrailer!!!

Hidden Hitch by Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2"
Very pleased with this hitch installed on my 2022 Lincoln Aviator. We only use the hitch for a bicycle rack so the 3500 lb. rating is not an issue and we will not need to install a trailer light system. As for the installation my advice is to look carefully at the hitch components and their installed location prior to beginning your installation. The provided installation instructions appear to be copied from a similar hitch with a fixed receiver and could result in excess removal of material and the removable receiver opening could be misaligned. This can be avoided if you measure and visualize before proceeding with the installation. My installation went very well and I am pleased with the results. Two particular things I am pleased with are the fact that when installed the receiver protrudes farther from the rear fascia than the fixed receiver model (ideal for bike rack use) and with the receiver assembly removed you cannot tell that there is a hitch installed.
Awesome experience, there was problem with missing parts and it was taking care of right away

etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Matte Black Finish - Class III - 2"
I have been dealing with etrailer for many years and have never had a problem. I just ordered a hitch for my Lincoln, and it didn't fit. I called on a Sunday and talked with Diana. Diana said there were were two different hitches for my car that year. She said no problem, she sent the correct one out that day and gave me a prepaid tag to return the wrong one, no questions asked. They are a great company that stand behind there products if there's ever a problem. Great people to buy from. Thank you Diana for the quick turn around, you folks have my vote and my business!
2013 Ford Edge Sport Pro Tip: There are two (2) carriage bolts that are longer than the other four (4). The instructions indicate to use these for the holes that you will drill though I’m not entirely sure it matters. Still, if you want to do it by the book, double check your bolts before installing. Otherwise a straightforward and easy install.

Robust construction, nearly perfect fit. Installation was straightforward.
I received this hitch with some chips down to the metal. So I repaired these. Alll holes lined up except one. The hitch was bent 1/2 inch on one side. So with a steel rod, wood blocks, and a pump jack, I bent the hitch into place. All the extra work is why I gave this hitch a 3 star rating. I now have a 5 star hitch that works great with my Thule bike rack.

This Hitch Reciever fit my '89 Ford Ranger perfectly. Had it installed in less than 30 minutes. Heavy duty design. I've had it over a year now and it has held up great. A huge improvement from the original ball in bumper design.
Fits right. Had to cut the corner at a 45 on one of the square shim washers due to a lip on the frame rail at the spare tire. Wouldn’t sit flat. Other than that, about 30 minutes from start to finish.

Well made, well finished and heavy duty product! If you are even halfway handy, you can install this yourself. Like anything, fitting is exact.
Product was all there but arrived with shipping damage. Might want to think about how to keep the heavy items from moving in the shipping carton or protect the outside edges with cardboard or something. I'll touch up the paint but wanted to give some feedback, you guys seem pretty receptive to input. Other than that there was good communication through the whole process. Fast service. Thank you.

Fit Perfectly. Easy to install but for the mufflers in the way, but not the hitches fault. Works great too. Thank you!
I installed this hitch for my grandfather, so he could hall around his scooter on a hitch mounted cargo carrier. I was a bit skeptical when I read the instructions and they stated an install time of about 40 minutes, so I timed it. They were just about spot on. From the time I brought the car into the garage and jacked it up, to torqueing down the hardware; I was done in 59 minutes. (I timed it) Very easy install. It would have been nice to have a second set of hand to help me hoist up the hitch, but it is doable with one. I'm excited to see my grandpa use it in action!

It's a perfect addition to my son's PT cruiser. Now with the retro look of the PT cruiser he can tow his 1980 smoker craft boat with the antique outboard motor. Thanks again E trailer for great products and my fifth hitch I purchased from you.
Great product, installation was easy and instructions very good. I didn't use any power tools and had to jack up the car put it on safety stands and use a creeper and it only took me one hr. I removed the spare tire and removed both brackets from the frame for the muffler. The T-one wiring harness yellow wire could have been about two or three inchs longer but I made it work.

It came within a few days of ordering. Packaged well, no shipping damage. Installation took an hour only because I had to cut the bolts to the bumper mounted hitch that was already installed. I also had to drill two holes due to my Ranger being the older model. After that it bolted right up with no issues. All the necessary hardware to install the hitch was included. Oh, yeah, it came with instructions, but who reads those!
This is the third time we have purchased a hitch from etrailer along with other products. Every time we have purchased from them we have been very happy. We really appreciate the helpful videos that show step by step how to install the products we have purchased. We also appreciate that they care enough to follow up and see how things are going. We bought this to replace a Hidden Hitch that had been damaged due to and accident. The original had been on the truck for many year and served us well. We were glad to find this hitch and that it is exactly like the original. We like that, other than the receiver, the entire assembly hides up behind the bumper making for a very clean install. It is on a 2001 Ford Ranger with the Edge package. The truck has a full size spare and the hitch does fit well even with the full size spare. When you install the hitch removing the spare makes for a much easier install. The spare fits right back in place when you are done. The hitch has been on the truck for about a year now. The finish has held up well and it does exactly what we need it to do.
Choosing Between Trailer Hitches For Your 2024 Ford Explorer Trailer
Ian with etrailer here. Today we're gonna be looking at some best hitch options on our 2024 Ford Explorer. Now I've pulled a total of three extra hitches here and then we've got one on the vehicle we're gonna be talking about as well. Let's just give a good comparison between all of them and kind of let you know what each feature is to help you pick yours. I'm gonna start with our Draw-Tite Ghost receiver hitch here. This is probably my favorite out of the four that we've got.
Installing the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver on a 2023 Ford Explorer
Hi, this is Scott with etrailer and today we're gonna be taking a look at our Draw-Tite Class 4 receiver for our 2023 Ford Explorer. What I like about this hitch system is it is a class four, so it is gonna be able to pull a little more than your class three or class two. So it is a little more geared for maybe a small camper, your bigger utility trailer, and it will allow you to have more tongue weight where you can have maybe your bigger six-bike carrier or your four-bike carrier with your heavier bikes, your e-bikes, things like that, but you're gonna be able to have a cargo basket where you can put more stuff on it and heavier things on it and be able to pull a little bit more. Another nice thing about this system is it does have the tab where you're gonna be able to mount your trailer wiring. This class four receiver is gonna allow you to have a 6,000-pound gross trailer rating on it and it is gonna give you a 900-pound capacity for as far as your weight down on the receiver itself. And that's gonna be for, like, your bike racks, your e-bikes that are on your bike racks, your cargo carriers and such things that you have on the back.

Setting up the Hidden Hitch by Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver on a 2022 Ford Explorer
Hey everyone, it's Trevor with etrailer. Today we're gonna be looking at the Draw-Tite Hidden Hitch on our 2022 Ford Explorer. And this is a great option for you if you wanna keep it looking a little bit more factory, since it does have a removable hitch on it. You would press in on this and then turn it towards the front of the vehicle, and then it'll slowly just come out of place. And then to put it back in, you'd repeat the same process until it locks this time, so that this set pin goes into place. And then you would slide it in here.
How to Install the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver on a 2022 Ford Explorer
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. And today, we're taking a look and installing the etrailer two-inch by two-inch trailer hitch receiver on a 2022 Ford Explorer. Now, this is what your hitch is gonna look like when installed on the Explorer. And the great part about it that I like is the fact that it's a hidden cross tube. And what that means is it simply hides a lot of the structural part of the hitch behind the bumper, leaving really only the receiver end and giving you a clean look, kind of, overall. That way, you don't have a whole bar hanging down.

How to Install: Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver on your 2017 Ford Explorer
Today on this 2017 Ford Explorer, we're going to review and install the Draw Tite Max Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 76034. Now our Draw Tite hitch is going to be a great addition to your Ford Explorer, whether for towing or non-towing needs. It does tuck up as close as we can to the bumper here and yes, you can see the cross tube, but it does go up behind the bumper as soon as possible. This does look like a part of the vehicle from the factory. This is our 2 inch opening right here, which allows for a wide variety of accessories for your towing or non-towing needs. It also has a nice rounded finish on this collar here to compliment the look. All right, now one thing unique to our Draw Tite here is that you'll see 2 holes in the side of the hitch.
