Coil SumoSprings Custom Helper Springs for Coil Spring Suspension - Rear Axle
I'm not sure if this picture does it justice, but the before pictire with the boat covered, there is noticeable sag in the rear. Dealt woth that for a year. Installed the coil sumosprings helper yesterday and she's level now. Tip, when installing on an older vehicle with rusted springs, take some extra time to sand the springs until the feel smooth. Do that and the dish soap and they go on pretty easy.
Pretty easy to install. During my first drive with them installed I heard a lot of thumping even over small bumps, but it seemed to work itself out on the second drive. I think it helps level out the slight sag in the rear of the car, and the front wheel drive which used to slip frequently when towing gets better traction. Be aware that for a 2005 Highlander, there are no holes or zip ties, and you can't get the Helpers to stay much higher than the lowest coil. I think them sliding down is what eliminated the thumping.

Air Lift 1000 Air Helper Springs for Coil Springs - Rear
Fast delivery installation was a breeze working good for our travel trailer towing
Installed on a 2000 Ford Expedition. I removed the springs and installed the bags outside of the vehicle. This was much easier than trying to install while springs were in the vehicle. It still was pretty hard, I resorted to using a hand held vacuum pump (like what you use for bleeding brakes) to fully deflate the bags which made it easier. Outside of installation, my only real complaint, and why I gave it 3 stars, is the schrader valve hardware is junk. I have it mounted in the bumper next to license plate and it was showing rust within two months. About 6 months in and the nut and threaded valve body were completely rusted. I'm in the NW with no salted roads or anything. The nut broke trying to remove it since it was so rusted. I replaced it with stainless steel ones I found online. Functionally the bags work as expected and make the vehicle sit more level when I have my 5000 lb trailer attached. Just remember to inflate bags before putt load on. Don't attach trailer then pump up bags and expect to see rear of vehicle lift up.

Had trouble getting them not to leak off finally think. I’ve got it.also I am having a problem trying to get them set where they.need to be when towing my rv. But I believe Iam making progress
Very fast delivery! Great Prices! These were a snap to install (less than an hour) and worked perfectly to level truck/trailer. Already ordered from them again and will continue too anytime I need something. Thanks ETRAILER!

Coil SumoSprings Custom Helper Springs for Coil Spring Suspension - Rear Axle
Very impressed with the SumoSprings. Was hesitant at first, but purchased a set for my 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe limited ultimate that had a squishy feeling ride and looked like it sat a bit lower in the back. Installed these on the rear springs and raised the ride height 1" in the rear and the ride is much better already. I'll have to see how they do with a loaded down vehicle but without the SumoSprings, 2 adult rear passengers and 2 dogs in the very back, suspension bottomed out over decent bumps and was not a good experience at all!
Fast delivery and easy to put on. Haven't put the trailer on yet, but rides nice with no weight

I’ve struggled with crushing my airbags and having the pump for the airbags burn up trying to keep up and hold the trailer. Using these have absolutely made all of the difference in no longer looks like Sanford and son and the trailer/vehicle stays level. I pull a 36 foot travel trailer weighs almost 8000 pounds with a Lincoln navigator. Absolutely the best thing I’ve installed to support trailer towing.
Installed this on my 2001 Explorer. Install is easy (assemble unit, bolt on in place of existing bump stop). Annoyed to find it doesn't fit. Specs are gap 1/2"-1-1/2"; there was a gap of 2-3/4". Yeah, they sell spacers for $27 each, but it's really annoying to buy a $225 product that says it fits your truck, only to find that you have to spend 50% more to actually adapt it to your truck!

Coil SumoSprings Custom Helper Springs for Coil Spring Suspension - Front or Rear Axle
Initial reaction is positive - I installed front and rear sumo helper springs yesterday (5-23-19) and did a test drive around the block. The side to side pitching of our Transit Class B+ motorhome was greatly reduced. I still need to test on highway. I did not install the optional spacers that increase the ride height and reaction time of the rear sumo springs. The spacers will be added later if needed.
Just finished installing these on my 2014 Ford Expedition EL Limited. Very easy to install. Never removed the wheel to install. Jacked the vehicle up one side at a time and did the install. Haven't hooked to my 30ft camper yet to see how they work. Will update after my trip in July.

Good instructions and easier installation than anticipated. I purchased these after seeking advice from etrailer staff as to best style to purchase for the vehicle and travel combination. etrailer staff provide outstanding help!
Like everyone else has mentioned, these things are really great. My 99 Ford Expedition is so incredibly heavy in the nose of the vehicle that large dips in the road make it bounce in a scary way. I put heavy duty struts on all 4 corners and that was not enough. These things have stiffened it up like a dream. Now, even with the hugest dip that launches you out the other side, there is no bouncing at all. Just a nice, controlled, one-bounce rebound and that is it. No noise either. It's great. I cannot wait to load down the vehicle using the front and rear hitches, but I just installed these so that will be forthcoming. Really great product that made this Expedition handle way better than it did without them. I am not going to crawl under there and take photos but just trust me on this.

Coil SumoSprings Custom Helper Springs for Coil Spring Suspension - Rear Axle
I installed a set of 1125 Sumo Springs in the rear coils of my Toyota RAV4 Limited Hybrid AWD to increase the spring rate ahead of a cross-country road trip. My RAV4 really sags with a rearward rake when passengers + rear cargo are loaded in the vehicle. This impacts the handling of the vehicle and throws off the aim of my headlights, which leads to other drivers flashing their high beams at me as my headlamps are shining in their eyes. Hopefully these Sumo Springs solve that problem. I’ve driven about 50 miles post install and can tell the ride is much more firm and stiffened up in the rear of the vehicle. The RAV4 feels much more sporty and planted. The install was much more difficult compared to my Sienna. In our van, the Sumo Springs slid right into place - it was a 10 minute job and I didn’t need to remove the wheels. On the RAV4, this was not the case. I had to remove the rear wheels to gain enough space to work the Sumo Springs into position between the coils. The fit was also much more tight; I had to really jam the Sumos into place and slide them into the center of the coil (it was a real arm workout). The Sumo Springs also overlapped about 2”, so I removed and trimmed each down with a razor knife to achieve a ~.5” overlap (per the supplied instructions). Install time was about 90 minutes as I had to remove the Sumos and trim them - which doubled my labor time. Time will tell to see if these work, but I’ve had a set of Sumos in my Sienna for about 15k miles / 1-year and they have done just fine, so I suspect these will too.
I installed these on my stock 2019 Outback hoping it would level out the rear sag when towing small teardrop trailer. Man, total game changer! Towing was fine prior to install but didn't like my headlights pointing up with rear sag. Installation was fairly easy. I say fairly because on my Limited the springs didn't allow much room. It required using a flathead screwdriver to get them seated. Took about an hour and most of that was lifting behind removing wheels. Feels and looks 100% better without the need for new overload springs. Highly recommend Before and after photos. One with skybox is before

Coil SumoSprings Custom Helper Springs for Coil Spring Suspension - Front or Rear Axle
OEM springs not strong enough. After installed feels a lot stiffer and raised the back 2". Material looks really good. Installation done in 40 min using a nut driver, a flat head screw driver and hand soap. I did have to take wheel off it just makes like easier.
2005 Honda Cr-V, they went on pretty easy, it was a tight fit but no trimming required. I jacked the car up on some stands, had both sides installed and zip tied in 45 minutes..

Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs - Double Convoluted - Rear Axle
Two things: a special tubing cutter needs to be furnished with each kit—99% of leaks are caused by bad joints at the fittings; The metal parts need to be hot dipped galvanized base coat and powder coated on top layer. The system would be nearly perfect if they didn’t succumb to corrosion! Otherwise, I love mine!! DSW
Product was as described. Installation video was most helpful as were the written instructions. Bending the bolt plates was absolutely necessary and was the most difficult part of the installation. I dropped one inside the frame, after retrieving, 30 minutes later, I drilled small holes in the handles and put a piece of wire thru them so they could be easily retrived if dropped again. Tested as recommended with 70 lbs of pressure and the truck's rear end popped up about 4-5 inches! Can't wait to try then with the trailer!

Timbren Suspension Enhancement System - Severe Service - Rear Axle
Was able to install these with a 15mm flex head ratchet wrench and lifted the rear of the truck to make it easier. 30 minutes to take off 4 nuts and put em back on. 2 minutes assembling the timbrens with the added spacer. I have a f350 with a salter and plow. Loaded with salt the lights shoot up and in the snow ?? it’s like hitting hyper drive and you’re blinded. These helped big time. Very happy so far.
These are great, put 1500 # of bagged concrete in truck They just were touching the stop bar, stability was what I expected Can’t wait to our RV hooked up and hit the road Took as long to set up the jack as to install these load stabilizer items

Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs - Double Convoluted - Rear Axle
Good product so far. Only gripe is that the driver side mount does chaff against a brake hard line. Added Teflon spiral wrap and rubber tape to mitigate damage.
I wanted to follow up and let you know the Firestone Air bags fit perfectly with the B&W Turnover ball hitch. Attached are pictures of the Airbags installed on the 2018 GM Sierra 1500 Z71. I've also included the pictures of the compressor and tank install. The compressor is installed under the hood in the spare battery tray and the tank is mounted on the outside of the frame under the passenger side door. Let me know if you need any additional details on the installation.

SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs - Rear Axle
These Sumo Springs were easy to install, even for a 70 year old guy. I tow a 7,000lb camper and even tho I have a nice WDH I still had som sag on my Tundra. These helped level it out when towing and got rid of “some” of the bounce. They were really a godsend when I overloaded the bed with about 2,000lbs of pavers. That weight squished the Sumos significantly but the truck drove and rode great. Better and less expensive than air bags.
Pros: Easy install Drastically helps with sag when towing trailers Cons: Things feel more bouncy in the back when not loaded They get hard as a rock in freezing temperatures (i.e. 15*F = no rear suspension) No option to unscrew the spring and replace with bump stop for the winter (at least that I can find, tell me if they make one).

Coil SumoSprings Custom Helper Springs for Coil Spring Suspension - Front or Rear Axle
Ok installed outside january 27th. Temp 10 degree windchill -5. I used canola oil since it stays slippery when cold. I recommend taking off the tires. Also wirebrush the coil spring to get rust and debris off. Coat coil spring in canola oil. Also 1997 crv rear will require about 3/4"-1" off of the helper spring before hand. The driver side took 15-20 mins the passenger less than 5. My car rear was sagging it sits level or slightly above level now in the rear. Mileage of vehicle is 73k shocks struts and springs are original. Curt class 3 hitch is also installed on vehicle. I am curious to see how it does while pulling a 5x8 trailer. Overall seems good only time will tell. Wondering how installing two on a side would do?
Working well to help us deal with a heavy trailer.

Air Lift 1000 Air Helper Springs for Coil Springs - Rear
Installation was super quick and easy in my home garage. The hardest part was finding a way to jack the truck high enough to hang the rear axle. My test was 25 bags of mulch. The before installation picture shows the rear squat. The after picture is of the exact same load with 30psi in the air bags. Super happy with the results. The ride is much better with a load in the back. Can't wait to hook up my camper to see how much better the ride is on a long trip.
The fork lift operator couldn't reach far enough to center them over my axle, but it didn't matter, because I installed air lift air springs and the Timbren bump stop spring enhancements. I can't believe how well they performed together. It was only a short trip with this load, and I'd never haul this heavy of a payload in a 1500 unless it was a short trip, but it wouldn't have been an option without these enhancements. The fork lift driver was even impressed. He asked me what I was using. These products kick serious ass! AMAZING!

Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs - Rear Axle
Excellent material and the installation instructions were very clear and to the point with the best pictures that coincided with the written material. Only took me 2.5 hours from the start of assembling the air bags with the hardware on the workbench to putting away my tools! This is on my '04 dodge 3500 dually that will be handling my new Host Mammoth Slide in Camper that will set at apprx. 5000 lbs.! Beautiful to maintain level truck and to know that the springs are not collapsed and wearing them down prematurely as well as providing a safe handling truck when on the road.
This is a great system that is pretty easy to install for the average garage mechanic. Installed on a 2018 Ram Mega Cab with 6.7. 30 PSI in the bags and it eliminates the squat when pulling my fifth wheel. One year in and still works great with no air loss from week to week. In my opinion upgrading to the braided lines was just inexpensive insurance.

Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System
I was able to pull my RV with 550lbs tongue weight without the excessive rear end squat. I did notice however that I can feel them engage during normal unloaded driving when I drive over dumpy parts of a road where before there was more spring travel. It’s not bad but a stock 97 f150 does have a smooth ride. These will take some not, all of that away. But the up side is well worth limited ride change.
I'm very pleased with your product it works great with my set up I have a 2002 Ford f-150 crew cab with a 4 inch lift I pulled my 27' travel trailer the truck Harley squat down the ride was great I installed the fr1525hd and add 3 4" x 1inch spacers # a25723-90ah00 to make up lift difference and used a 3/8" x 6" bolt installation took about one hour thanks again pictures of driver side and passenger side

Timbren Suspension Enhancement System - Rear Axle
I debated for awhile weather or not to get this product or air bags. I chose this product for its value and high reveiws. I also like that it is maintenance free and lifetime reveiws. There is really nothing to go wrong except for the brackets to possibly someday get rusted. But the brakets seem to have a powder coat or really good paint. I installed these my self. Can be installed in a couple hours on a newer truck that has rust free u bolts. Just take the wheels off and jack the truck up and loosen u bolts and remove old bump stops and install the Timbren helper springs. I thought the hardest part was re torque the u bolts. The package I got had a one inch spacer which I installed. It made my helper springs about 3/4 inch below the bump stop. If I hit a good bump on the road I can feel them bottom out a little. Bit nothing that would change my mind about putting them on. I pulled my dump trailer since I put them on and it made a world of a difference. Very little squat and gave the truck a nice firm ride. I would recommend these to anyone that has a tight budget and wants a safer driving experience.
I're read nothing but good things about these, got them just in time for my next trip with my travel trailer.
