Swagman XC2 Bike Rack for 2 bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
This is a well designed rack. Adding and removing bikes is quick & easy. Just set the bike on & slide the padded hook down onto the bike frame to secure it; no straps required. If only one bike is transported, it does not interfere with opening the trunk on our Tesla Model 3. With 2 bicycles the trunk cannot be opened. For 2 bikes the Swagman model that can tilt might be worth the extra 22 bucks. This rack uses a bolt in the receiver hitch instead of a pin. This locks it securely preventing it from moving in the hitch & rattling. It also requires a wrench to remove it, good for theft prevention but one more thing to keep track of. For storage on the vehicle the top bar folds down. For storage in the garage, the left & right bars fold up & you can hang it using one of the hooks.
So far so good. The rack wiggles a bit, but that is expected. I have it on my 2007 Corolla and I have hit 65+ on the highway with it and have not had a problem. I would recommend getting a locking pin. The one included is threaded, which aside from security, makes it harder to take the rack on and off. I would also look into a DIY way to secure the wheels better. I am using some bungee straps which do the job no problem. The two bikes I carry are at the racks capacity.

Swagman XTC2 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount

Very stable and simple to use bike rack that works great with my road bike AND with my 29" Big Rippers. It makes loading and unloading the bikes a snap and they are safe and secure for traveling once loaded and secured. I have already logged over a thousand miles hauling bicycles with this rack and highly recommend it. I am a big fan of Yakima roof racks but, honestly, wish I would have went with this setup for my bikes from the beginning.

Thule Passage 3 Bike Carrier - Trunk Mount
Way too light duty for what is advertised. It seemed to be made out of 1/2 inch electrical conduit. I would never put three bikes on that rack. I only had two bikes on the rack. While on trip through Idaho the wind was so strong that one of the bikes partially blew off the rack. We traveled 1,800 miles and upon arriving home I actually sawed the bike rack up and threw it away so that no one else would use it and cause an accident. I've already found a different brand that is HEAVY DUTY and I will stick with that brand.
This is definitely more of a 2 bike carrier vs 3 bikes. I had to take the front wheels off two bikes to get three bikes on this carrier. Also, it rubbed the paint off on the trunk of my Subaru legacy.

I choose this particular unit because it can handle the weight 2 of bikes (non-e-bikes) and the weight of my e-bike is equivalent to weight of 2 bikes. Note: Must readjust the straps after mounting the bike to the rake.

I have a 2017 Acura RDX. I had to be creative for the hooks and straps to work. The lower strap hook is not compatible with my hatch. And I really didn't want to have them hook under my plastic bumper, so I shut the straps in the hatch and hooked them to 2 hooks I have in the trunk. Works perfect. A picture is attached. I have a Cannondale Bad Girl, which is the dumbest bike ever designed ( but that is a different review forum) so I had to be creative getting it mounted like I usually do. Works great. The only reason I gave this a 4 star is because I don't believe the hooks are really compatible with the RDX, unless you have an awesome spouse willing to get shut in the trunk and place the hooks for you while you tighten from the outside. etrailer.com has the best customer service I have dealt with in a while. Fantastic crew!

Audi SQ5Loving my bike rack it looks really stylish on my SQ5. It’s super easy to install, I don’t even need any help, so win win. It’s also sturdy, I have travelled multiple times from ATL to FL without any issues. The only problem is the bottom bar has a hard plastic, which rubs at the bottom of my hatch below the plate. I fixed this by cutting a pool noodle to protect my car by adding it to the bottom over the hard plastic. And added rubber stoppers under the top straps to stop shafting on the trunk spoiler. All and all good buy!

Yakima HangOut 2 Bike Rack - Trunk Mount - Adjustable Arms
When I started the search for a bike rack, I was so disappointed and upset to hear that I would need to install a hitch and spend even more money to buy another bike rack for my 2016 jeep renegade. I ordered this bike rack with a little hope but got a huge surprise! Not only is it super convenient and easy to install but I can fully use my trunk and not spend a ton of money!
Very nice, works well. The only thing that was an issue was with the "Anchor" part of assembly. The straps it came with were 2-3 ft. too short. So I had to replace/substitute my cargo straps for the Yakima top straps. Other than that, I'm pretty satisfied with this item.

Saris Bones 2 Bike Rack - Trunk Mount - Adjustable Arms
So far really great! I love the stability my bike has on the rack, fit for my 2021 Honda Civic, and the quality of the material engineered into the design to prevent damage to the cars paint/parts.
Works great even using an electric bike like my Aventon Soltera.

Swagman XTC4 Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
Rack is very sturdy and heavy duty. Instructions were terrible. Locking hitch pin would not thread correctly and ended up damaging it. Thankfully the threads on rack were fine and I was able to use the non-locking threaded pin. Would like a replacement locking pin ASAP
For the price, it's a good-quality, sturdy bike rack. I have used it about 5-7 times with no issues. I only used it for one adult and two kids' bikes, but I am sure it can handle four bikes as advertised. It's great that the rack folds upwards when it's not required.

Swagman Upright Bike Rack for 1 Bike - Roof Rack Crossbars - Frame Mount
Great product for the price. Pretty easy to set up. Only issue I have is my mountain bike, which is an XL frame with 27 inch wheels, is pushing the limits of the base. Wish this rack was just 4-5 inches longer that way you have the perfect overlap amount in the middle without pushing the current frame to the limits. With that said it does hold my bike just have to find the sweet spot. But this fits my son’s youth bike perfectly!
As always with products I buy from e-Trailer, this item is exactly as advertised and works perfectly. Easy assembly, I bought 2 but only installed one until I check the fit with my rooftop carrier.

Yakima FullBack 3 Bike Rack - Trunk Mount - Adjustable Arms
Performed perfectly on a 140 mile round-trip in my 2017 Acura MDX. It took me a few tries to position the anchors inside the top of the hatch, but I got the hang of it and the rack did not shift at all while driving 50-60 mph on the highway.
This product is steady, but heavy and I'm not sure it's good for RAV4 2024. I used it one time with 3 bicycles, and the lower touching part made the trunk door dented because of the pressure.

Kuat Beta Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Tilting
I love how easy this was to set up and how easy it connects to the hitch. And because it's so lightweight, I can easily install it myself.
Solid rack. Straps do a nice job keeping both bikes in place. I use additional bungee cords to leave no doubt. This is a great bike rack and I do recommend it even without the use of additional straps. Fits great into the hitch and the tightener works amazing.

Swagman Chinook Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
Works for my fat tire bike. Once it's set up, it's easy to install and remove. I had to cut out some of the plastic cladding on the underside of my bumper on my 2014 Subaru Outback. Good value. I've had no issues.
GI love the Rack, it is easy for me to handle, (as a 89 yearold rider.), two bikes ride and fit very nicely. Like how it folds down,and how it folds to open the tailgate . Great quality for the money, I would highly recommend this rack

Hey everybody, Ryan here at Etrailer. Today on our 2022 Ford Escape, we're gonna be checking out the Curt premium hitch mounted bike rack. First impressions of the rack on the back of the Escape, I think it's a pretty good fit, you know Looks decent and this is gonna be a great way to carry around a lot of bikes. So this one in particular can hold up to a total of four, but if you need to carry an additional one, there's a five bike version available as well. Something a little different about this rack is the arms kind of bend in, all right And that's gonna be ideal for smaller frame bikes, you know, like children's bikes that'll actually fit on the rack like it should. And that's not to say though, you know, you can't put full size bikes on these two ends because you absolutely can and it'll still hold it just fine.

Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Saris Freedom on the back of our 2022 Ford Escape. The Saris Freedom is a platform style bike rack. It's gonna hold the bike in these wheel cradles at the bottom and by our frame up top it's gonna be a cradle with a strap that runs around the frame to hold it in place. Any sort of frame contact means we do wanna avoid carbon frame bikes but with the way this slides up and down along the mast independently from the other one and rotates 360 degrees it is gonna be able to adapt to alternative frame bikes. The other great thing about this is that it does support a weight of 60 pounds per bike.

The Swagman Current is uniquely designed to handle electric bikes, so it's gonna have a 60 pound weight capacity per cradle in the two inch by two inch hitches, and it's gonna use a wheel hook design to secure the bike down into the two cradles. The hooks on here are very nice, because they do have such a thick padding. However, because they are hooks that clamp down on the frame, they will make it incompatible with any carbon frame bikes you may have. Looking at how the rack sits on here with a bike loaded up, we can see that our third brake light cowling is still fairly visible to any drivers behind us.

It's able to hold by the wheels, so any of your odd shaped frame or your carbon frames are gonna be perfect for this. And in my opinion, whenever it comes to handles for these arms, this is probably one of the best for the wheel hold type. It's going to be a little bit goofy to push down, but overall, once you get it, it's much easier to work with this than some others, like the Inno Tire Hold, which has it down here, so you have to hold onto the arms as you push forward and press the button at the same time.

Along with that, I do wanna point out that this is frame mounted, so, if you have odd shaped frames, it's a little bit hard to work with. As you can see, even though we have a straight frame, it's still a little bit of a pain to, kind of, get in the right position, and then, also you won't be able to use this on any kind of carbon frame, so that's always something to keep in mind, but, if you happen to have something that's a little bit sturdier and heartier, I think this is gonna be a good choice.
