Roadmaster Bulb and Socket Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles - Incandescent
This was a good option for our 2020 Chevy Equinox because it does not tie into the tow vehicle electrical system and runs directly from the Motorhome electrical system.
Great product. I installed on 2003 Toyota Tacoma. Since it was a 21 year old truck and I know the wires can get brittle. I did not want to cause any other issue. I decided to go with RM-155. I had enough space to the tail light to drill a hole and insert new bulb. Installation took about an 1 1/2 hours. Running the wires was what took a little bit longer than expected. Hook it up to rv and works flawlessly. I did make slight change. Instead of staying with the 4-pole connector, I hooked it up to a 6-pole connecter and works perfectly. Happy I went this route instead of splicing wires.

Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles - 7-Way to 6-Way Coiled Adapter Cord
Grand Cherokee L Overlander, wiring a few feet too short. Had to piece out wire between right to left taillights. The 6 pin plug is a good improvement over a 4 pin plug.
Part of our flat-two set/up. Works great. ETrailer customer support is the best!

Roadmaster Bulb and Socket Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles - Red LEDs
Great customer service. Immediate feed back. If something is not right, they immediately fix it. Great company
This kit did the job very well. I could have bought each part separately and saved some money, but I went with the comfort knowing all these parts will work together to accomplish the job. I couldn't figure what LED bulb to use for both brake and turn signal. I routed the wire along the truck wiring harness for half the way to the front, then slipped it into the frame channel for the rest of the way. I used a Curt heavy, round 4 pin plug at the front grill. It was a bit of work and took many hours but came out clean!

Easy to install.

Blue Ox Bulb and Socket Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles - Red LEDs
I will give it an excellent in that the bulbs function as both a brake light and a turn light and the brightness and function are great but I have one gripe in that the wiring to the bulb base is fragile and will break if not well supported, electrical tape wrap should do. This purchase was the second just to get a replacement bulb for the first as they are super expensive! It otherwise works great! Support the bulb base wiring!
Straight forward install. Tested today works great. Also tested newly installed Demco duo stay in play. It also working great.

Roadmaster 6-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles with Separate Lighting
This is my second "toad" to set up with tail lights. The first one was a 1997 Nissan Hardbody pickup. I did the kit that adds a new bulb to each tail light housing. That was easier as far as the wiring part, harder due to drilling the holes for a new light bulb. This kit went into a 2014 Honda CR-V. Deciding where to cut into the factory wires and where to place the diodes was difficult for me to decide. Once decided, the job was still a bit tough. I put the diodes behind the interior panels inside the rear of the car. Finding a spot for the diodes is tricky since there is not a lot of room, near the wiring harnesses. To make the job ever more tedious, I wanted everything inside split loom for protection. The video from etrailer was very helpful, although I didn't like the idea of running the wires outside, under the car. Honda ran most wire bundles inside for protection I suppose and that seems better to me. I ran the wires to the front inside the door sill panels, then through the firewall. In the firewall, I sliced a small hole in an existing rubber grommet and shared the space. I also put the "break away" wire back through the same grommet. I am very happy with the quality, customer service and video training help from etrailer! The only complaint: the brake lights on the toad, flash dimly when the turn signals are on. It's not very bright, but the convertor is supposed to keep that from happening. Besides that, I am very happy with this and all the other items I bought for this project!
In ordering the parts I got a little confused as to exactly which kit I needed. My motorhome has combined brake/turn signal lights & the car ('03 Subaru Outback) has separate brake/turn/parking lights. Thought I needed the 6 diode kit (which I ordered) until I had all the parts here & read through the instructions for the umpteenth time (BEFORE cutting anything) & then realized what they were doing. Turns out all I needed was the 4 diode kit. Sounds like there won't be any problems returning the unneeded parts since they were never installed. Great service there! Took a lot apart in the back of the car because of the lack of space behind the tail light assemblies, but it all comes apart pretty easily. Also allowed me to route the wiring along side the stock harness. Have a bunch of 1/2" split loom here & used it. Thought I would have lots of wire left over, but I actually had to splice 2 cut offs to make a jumper long enough to get from 1 side of the car to the other. Glad the car wasn't any longer & I didn't have to make up 2 jumpers as with some of the kits! Hardest part was finding a hole in the firewall & getting the harness routed under the dash so as to not tangle with the pedals, etc. I just don't flex like I used to. Everything works fine although it was NOT a "5 minute job".

Roadmaster Bulb and Socket Tail Light Wiring Kit w/ 7-Way to 6-Way Adapter Cord - Red LEDs
Installed in my 2024 Chevy Trax. I ran the wire harness up through the front fender, and along the DS rocker panel. No drilling into body required. However, I purchased extra loom to better protect exposed wires next to body. Additionally, I purchased extra wire to support the DS to PS taillight connections. Finally, be advised the plastic taillight assemply is "double hulled," so once you bore through the exterior of the assembly, you will need to drill again, into the lense. On this point, and to ensure a good fit of the bulb socket, a Dremel tool was used to grind down the plastic surface, to ensure a good flat and tight fit. Finally, I used the first cut-out to fashion a cap and to seal the light socket installation. See pic.
Easy installation and hook.

Blue Ox Block Diode Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles

Blue Ox 4-Diode Universal Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles
Wiring works great but there was a several day delay in the shipping. We ordered on Saturday 17th and it didn't ship until the following Thursday 22nd and we received it on Monday 26th....very disappointed in customer service. I will only use etrailer as my last resort for ordering anything else.
Took a bit to get to the rear lights on the wrx - trim pieces etc. But once there the instructions were easy to follow and the lights work great!

Hopkins 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles - 4-Way Flat Connector
I was looking for something to add to my 2014 Equinox for tail/brake/t-signal lighting for towing behind my motorhome. This system worked perfectly , and couldn't have been easier to install. The hardest part was running the wiring from front to rear ( through frame rails and what-not ). Tail-lite hook-up was a breeze. There was plenty of wire to do the job also. Now the vehicle lites work as a trailer and does not interfere with the normal vehicle lite operation.
installed your isolating diode wiring harness 38955 also the blue ox base plate bx1126 . install was very easy with video on your site.was installed on my 2007 wangler to be towed with holiday rambler motor home.

Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles - 7-Way to 6-Way Straight Adapter Cord
The install on my Ford Maverick is clean and functional, so this is more of a customer service review... excellent customer service! During the 4-day towing set-up install, the forecast was for freezing temps and my rig was not winterized. I called in mid panic and the motorhome was moved indoors. A few months after using the tow set-up, a minor problem developed. I called and the CSR apologized and said, I can see how that might be frustrating, and a replacement cable (slightly longer) was sent free of charge.
I have not been disappointed with anything I have ordered from you. This wiring kit should do the trick for my flat towing project. I am sorry that I couldn’t get all of the pieces from you, the transmission pump and base plate was ordered from another company. This is my fourth camper you are helping me keep maintained and improved. 2000 Cougar 5th wheel bunkhouse,2016 Sprinter 5th wheel front living room , 2021 Nexus 31t class C and a 2016 sprinter tow behind.

Demco 4-Diode Universal Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles - 7-Way to 6-Way Adapter Cord
I'm happy with the product and I was able to install it without too much difficulty. The etrailer.com video does not accurately represent the tail light removal. I believe the video was for a 2022 Ford Escape Hybrid. On my 2024 Ford Escape Hybrid the rear bumper must be removed in order to remove the entire tail light. To avoid removing the bumper, I disconnected all except the one hidden connection and pivot the tail light to create approximately 1.25" space at the top. I was able to fish the wires and make the diode attachments through that 1.25" space

Curt Universal Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles - 4-Way Flat Connectors
I didn't think the crimp connections were very good. I tried a number of crimp tools none that I have provided an adequate crimp. The wires would pull out too easy after crimping. Suggest the supplier might recommend the preferred crimp tool. I ended up removing the supplied connectors and using solder sleeves which worked well.
If it had been plugged in play, it would’ve been a fantastic product. But because you have to cut splice and do the wiring, I give it a three.

Hopkins Custom Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles
Arrived as advertised. Very tight window. We left next morning to pick up the Ford F150 4x4 super cab I purchased. Couldn't tow F150 on trailer as wheelbase too long. Easy installation at pickup location. My personal preference would have been an additional two feet of wire as I like excess in case of future issues but provided length was sufficient.
With the Hopkins HM56000 I was able to easily wire my Ford F150 for towing behind our motorhome in no time at all. I read the instructions and watched and install video and it went in per instructions with no problems at all. I have used it a number of times since install and lights were great! Good price, easy install and it works!

Hopkins Custom Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles
The parts I purchased to ei my jeep for towing were easy to install got the tow bar adapter but somewhat difficult or the wiring harness. Passenger side rear lights on my 2005 Tj were behind the charcoal filers in the rear fender and required a lot of work to access.
Pretty easy install on my 06 Jeep Wrangler. Watch the videos and it will all make sense for install. Had plenty of wire to reach. A stiff wire for fishing the wires across my fuel tank made the job easy.
