Your roof rack is actually supported by your Fit Kit inside of your door jamb and the foot on the bottom that makes the contour to your roof. So once those things are fastened down, it kind of clamps across the vehicle giving you stability to your crossbars. The crossbars themselves are made of extruded aluminum, and it has an H-shape on the inside. What that does for you just gives you a higher measure of stability and rigidity. What I really like about a roof rack is that it has that OEM look to it. Hey everybody, how's it going Today, we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the Malone AirFlow2 roof rack, here on a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox. So, for starters, this roof rack here is gonna be specifically designed for models with embraced side rails, which is what this particular one has here. You can easily distinguish the raised side rails because there's gonna be a gap between the bottom of the rail, and the top of the roof. Now, the reason we need to point that out is because there's a couple of different roof configurations here for the Equinox. We have models with a bear roof. We also have models with those flush side rails in which there isn't a space between the bottom side of the bar and the top of the roof.

Rhino-Rack RS 2500 Roof Rack Installation - 2018 Chevrolet Equinox

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Chevrolet Equinox, we're going to be taking a look at showing you how to install the Rhino Rack RS2500 roof rack for naked roofs and it's going to include the vortex aero cross bars in silver with part number RRRS739.Now it's also available in black using part number RRRS739B.Here's what our roof rack is going to look like once we have it installed. It's going to allow us to free up space inside of our car and mount all of our gear onto the top on of our roof even without the factory side rails.Cross bars are going to be a low profile design. They are going to have a slim elliptical shape, which is going to cut down on a lot of the wind noise and drag that is commonly associated with roof racks.The bars are going to be a flush mount design so they're not going to extend past the legs of our roof rack giving it more of an OEM factory look.Now on the top of the bar here, we're going to have this rubber strip, which is going to help cut down on some of that noise as well as giving a nice sturdy surface to mount any of our accessories.Now if we pull the strip out, we can see that we can add any of our favorite T-track accessories and then we just cut the rubber strip to length.The bars themselves are going to be made out of a structural grade aluminum and have an anodized finish so that they are going to be rust proof.The legs of the roof rack are going to by nylon with glass free enforcement that are UV treated so they are going to stand up to the elements very well.A nice feature is that our roof rack system is going to include two keys and metal lock cores in each one of the legs so that we can make sure that our roof rack system is going to be nice and secure.Our roof rack system is going to be custom designed so the bars are going to be a custom length for our Equinox and it's going to come with the necessary legs and fit kit to get everything in place.Now our roof rack system itself is going to have a 165 pound weight capacity. So you just want to double check your Equinox's owners manual to make sure you don't exceed that weight rating.If you're looking to mount a ski or snowboard carrier, a cargo basket, or possibly even a kayak carrier on the roof of your Equinox, this is going to be a great option even if you don't have those factory brace side rails.It's going to be an extremely simple installation. So now that we've seen what it looks like and gone over some of the features let's show you how to get it installed.So we already have our first bar installed. Let's go ahead and put the second one on together.Our cross bars are going to come preassembled with the bar and foot packs already attacked.

Thule Roof Rack Review - 2017 Chevrolet Equinox

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Chevrolet Equinox, we're going to be installing the Thule Roof-Rack System using the Aeroblade Load Bars with part number: THARB47 for silver, THARB47B for black, and the Rapid Crossroad Mounted-Railing Foot Packs, part number: TH450R.These crossbars are going to be great for loading up bike racks, cargo carriers, kayak carriers, cargo baskets, boxes and many other accessories.The foot packs on these are very easy to install, they grip tightly and they work with a wide variety of rails. They have an integrated tool to allow you to tighten it down, put it back into place, and there's also a location to install a lock cylinder, using part number: TH544, to secure all your accessories.The end caps flip over easily so you can access your T-slots. Simply slide out your strip, cut it to fit, put your accessories in and you're ready to use your T-slots.These 47-inch long crossbars are made of a strong aluminum that's going to be durable, lightweight and have 165-pound weight capacity. Now it is important to check your vehicle's owner's manual to ensure that your roof can accommodate those loads.It's going to add about three inches to the height of your vehicle's rails. It's going to be about five inches from the top of your roof to the top of the rail. About three-and-a-half inches between the roof and the bottom of the rail.These Thule Aerobars have wind-diffuser technology, which is the shape that's going to reduce wind, noise and drag when compared to others, such as square bars or round bars.Now that we've gone over some of the features, let's show you how to get it installed.We've already got our rear bar installed, let's show you how to install the front.

If we unlock our end cap and remove it, we can easily remove and cut down our weather strip and replace it with channel-mounted accessories.On our end cap, we do have a plastic lock core. We can remove that and place in a metal lock core, that's going to help prevent to prevent theft and tampering of part of your roof rack system as well as any channel-mounted accessories.

These crossbars are also available in black with part number RRRS516B.The Rhino-Rack roof rack system is a great solution for carrying your vehicle accessories on your roof, whether those are bike racks, ski and snowboard carriers, or cargo baskets. The aerodynamic shape of our bars, as well as the weather strip on the inside, helps to reduce wind noise and drag. If we remove the end cap and cover, you can see that our weather strip is easy to remove and we can cut it down and place in channel-mounted accessories instead.The design of our crossbar is going to give us a nice flush fit. We won't have any extension over the side of our vehicle. We're also going to have this locking end cap here.

Rhino Rack Roof Rack Review - 2016 Chevrolet Equinox

Today on our 2016 Chevy Equinox we're doing a test fit of the Rhino Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars. The part number for the crossbars we're using today is RRVA118B-2. For our SX Theories legs we're using RRSX005. Now, we already have the front bar installed.
