Hi, Matt with Etrailer. If you have a 2023 BMW X5 and you're looking for something that's just gonna be really easy to work with, with loading and unloading from your vehicle and storing in your garage, and you want something that's gonna be perfect just for carrying a few additional items in your vehicle, then the Benton ShellRaiser roof box is gonna be a great option for you. So let's check it out. Now, I'm a big fan of roof boxes for a couple reasons. The first one being is the footprint it takes up is remaining in the footprint of your vehicle. And that's important to note compared to some hitch-mounted accessories like a hitch basket or carrier.

Hi, Matt with etrailer. If you have a 2023 BMW X5 and you're looking for something that's just gonna be really easy to work with, with putting on and taking off of your roof and it's gonna work great with those extra long items and really easy to store, then the Inno Gear Case 720 is gonna be a great option for you. So let's check it out. And what I really like about roof boxes is they're keeping all that additional storage space in one footprint of your vehicle, compared to a hitch basket or a cargo carrier, with one of those that's gonna extend the footprint of your vehicle taking up more space. Or if you are trying to get through those tighter areas, it's gonna be a little bit more difficult. That's why I like this is just gonna stay in one location on your vehicle.

Today on our 2012 BMW X5, we've got the Maxx Tow 21 by 48 Aluminum Cargo Carrier out. We're doing a test fit to see how it fits the back of the vehicle here. Now you can see this is a mainly all aluminum carrier, which is going to make it extremely light. If weight's an issue for you or getting things loaded and unloaded would be a problem, this would be a really good choice. Now it still maintains a 500 pound weight capacity. It's got a full steel shank that's going to run all the way into our receiver tube. It then has the supports that come out side to side to give us our stability.

Today on our 2012 BMW X5, we've got the Detail K2 twenty by sixty folding cargo carrier. Now this is designed for use with two inch hitches and it offers a 500 pound weight capacity. Part number on it is K2-HCC602. Now the Detail K2's going to have a nice, open mesh floor, what they call kind of an expanded steel. It's nice and smooth so we don't have to worry about any sharp edges or anything. This is going to allow, though, for a lot of that moisture, dirt and debris from some of the dirtier items you might have stacked up here to fall right down and out and not build up on the carrier. See we've got a raised edge that goes all the way around, gives us a lot of great attachment points so when we have our load on there we'll be able to get it secure, but it's also going to offer front-to-back and side-to-side stability.
