Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/Barb Inlets - Class III - Efficient
Transmission cooler installed on 2003 Tacoma RWD. The Transmission Cooler was easy to install. No problems whatsoever. I chose to mount it behind & left of the license plate.
I put this on my 2013 Toyota Tacoma PreRunner as I wanted to have the added protection for my transmission, should I tow anything upwards of the max limit. The Tacoma with the tranny cooler and a class IV hitch can reach 6,500 pounds towing capacity, but I doubt I will test that limit. Had the Toyota mechanics install, as the truck was still under warranty and I did not want to take a chance in voiding it if it were put in wrong. I located it in the upper left front corner of the radiator, and using an infrared scanner, the fluid temp shows a noticeable drop from input to output. Bottom line is that was easy to install and does the job it was designed to do.

Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/Barb Inlets - Class III - Efficient
Excellent transmission cooler with fairly easy installation. I chose to mount mine to brackets in front of the radiator rather than by pushing mounting rods through the radiator condenser. Plans for my 4-cyl Tacoma were initially for pulling a utility trailer out to my land and back. Wife wanted to get an RV and take trips. All of my purchases and installations from etrailer were based on the expert advice from the sales people. And, I actually purchased and installed all the parts before we bought an RV. This shows you that the installation videos are spot on. I could never hook up a trailer and 'try it out'. But everything worked perfectly. I kept all the weights under limit, used a weight distribution hitch, brake controller, Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System, and side mirrors, along with the class III hitch, and 4 pin and 7 pin wiring harness that I installed. My Tacoma is only rated for towing 3500# but we never had a problem pulling a 3000# load. 65 was tops on the speed and that was on a straight road. My scan gauge indicated that my transmission temp stayed at 165 except for when we traveled through stop and go city traffic. Then it rose to 185/190 for short times. Back on the road and it dropped to 165/170 a gain. I was really impressed with this little cooler.
everything with the order came through in great shape! now we just have to put it the truck. will order again with confidence. thank you

Derale Combination Transmission and Engine Oil Cooler with Multiple Threads
I installed the etrailer derale transmission cooler on my 2012 Toyota Tacoma. Hauled home a 3500lb tractor 3000 miles up hilly terrain and had no problems at all. Works great.
This kit was easy to install on my application and works very well.

Derale Dyno-Cool Tube-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit - Class II - Economy
Wanted to give my Honda better ability to handle a tow. this baby does the job. Transmission definitely cooler operation since the install. The install was simple and straight forward.
I purchased this for my C6 Corvette A6 transmission. I did, however, bypass the radiator and only use the transmission cooler for the C6. I purchased and used the Derale Radiator Adapter fitting 259-13035 for both the top and bottom and just capped them off to keep debris out of the reservoir. I also had to make some custom mounting brackets. This is an excellent product and it keeps the tranny in a great temperature range.

Kept my truck transmission from overheating
Have a 1998 Lincoln Mark 8 w/ 4 speed automatic which retails for no less than $ 4000.00 - Having this potential monkey on my back , I decided to invest in a trans cooler. Fabricated mounts and bolted on , used double flare connection to cooling line w/ barbed fitting ; barbed fitting @ radiator fitting. Used 2 hose clamps @ cooler, one clamp on each barbed fitting . Could only mount with fittings to left ,fluid leaves radiator , enters cooler @ top ( to reduce pump load ), comes out of bottom & returns to tranny. No trans temp. guage, but cooler gets hot @ idle, verifying cooler works . Well constructed and sturdy, easy to mount ; comes with instructions.

Derale Series 9000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/ NPT Inlets - Class IV - Extra Efficient
My vehicle originally did not have a transmission cooler. After warming up, my transmission temperature would typically be 100 degrees higher than the ambient air temperature, whether moving or stopped. Towing the largest enclosed U-Haul trailer (6'x12') would raise the temperature to about 120 degrees above ambient. After adding this cooler, the transmission stays about 70 degrees higher than the ambient air temperature on the highway, and 80-85 degrees above ambient while parked or driving in slow traffic. I haven't towed that same U-Haul trailer since adding the cooler, but towing a much larger (8.5'x20') enclosed trailer raises the temperature to about 110 degrees above ambient. If you can find a spot the cooler will physically fit, it should work for your vehicle. You may have to get creative to solidly mount it. I used an angle grinder to remove part of a factory brace. When doing work in this area of your vehicle, be careful not to puncture the AC condenser! If you do, like I did, you will have to replace it. Some AutoZone locations will rent a vacuum pump and manifold gauge set. Doing your own repair means the total repair cost is only the sum of the new AC condenser and refrigerant. The inlet/outlet NPT fittings on this cooler need to be tighter than you think. I was worried about stripping the threads, and didn't tighten them enough at first. I ended up removing my bumper cover multiple times to tighten them until they stopped leaking. I found the best way to detect a leak was to zip-tie a folded paper towel below the fitting. If it turned red, there was a leak. For my application, I would have preferred built-in 3/8" hose barb inlets instead of the 1/2" NPT fittings.
Great quality! Simple installation, awesome product.

Derale 19-Row Stacked-Plate Transmission Cooler Kit, -6 AN Inlets - Class V
Cooler was well built and fit my 2002 Silverado with some slight modifications to the existing bracing. It seems to cool well but I haven’t towed anything heavy yet in warmer temps to know how well it cools above the stock cooler.
Absolutely awesome!!!! Took 100 degrees out of the Trans! Pulling a trailer through the mountains. 100% recommended. It didn't fit quite perfect on my 2014 yukon and had to buy more hose but worth every penny spent! I will buy again

Derale Series 9000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/ NPT Inlets - Class V - Extra Efficient
Seems very solid installed easily works well!
Easy to install and has worked great on my '06 4Runner v6. A little extra piece of mind for the mountains. This size just barely fits on the passenger side of the radiator - there is a central, vertical support bar behind the grill that prevents a wider cooler from fitting.

Derale 25-Row, High-Performance, Stacked-Plate Cooler with -6 AN Fittings - Class V
This cooler is absolutely the most efficient cooler money can buy for the tacoma. It fits the space without changing any wiring. You just relocate the horns to the center post. I pull a 5K travel trailer and this cooler lowered my transmission temp a solid 30 degrees. This is the best money you can spend on your 2005-2015 tacoma if you tow a trailer.
The oil cooler worked flawlessly. It brought down my transmission temp by at least 55* degrees. The construction of the oil cooler is like no other. Very well put together so glad I went with the stacked plate.

Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/Barb Inlets - Class IV - Efficient
Well constructed. Could use more hose for the install. I had to buy another length to install it. In the photo you can see I fabricated brackets for it so it would be able to get better airflow. Not noticing a real big difference in cooling but I’m anxious to see how it goes when I tow my 29 ft. TT with my 17 Suburban with a 5.3 ltr. I’ve been towing without one with no issues but any help in extending the life of the tranny is worth it.
Keeps my Tundra’s transmission tamed, especially while towing.

Derale Dyno-Cool Tube-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit - Class I - Economy
Removing the front bumper/grill on my Odyssey was a must! Installation was pretty much straight forward once you confirm the feed, and return connection points. Mounting the actual cooler to the front radiator was the easiest part of the job. My Odyssey made two 650 mile trips pulling 2050 lbs with no problems so I’m very happy with the cooler!
good product form a great company ! my only complaint is this was listed as for my specific truck, but the "insta-dapt" supplied doesn't fit the Dodge truck of my year. even doing my research ahead of time, it seems to be hit or miss whether it would fit as some of them come with 5/16 fittings and some (like mine) come with 9/16 fittings. it doesnt matter the engine size, even other 3.7L dodge trucks of the same year have 5/16 fittings... I think Dodge made a change middle year, but never let the consumer know as mine is a late year '04. no dig deal as I was able to assemble it anyways and got it up and running great and both the radiator and trans are running much cooler now ! I attached the D12902 to the bumper as you will see in attached images. 2 attached images are just before finishing, bumper hasnt been attached yet, one of them is after everything was complete.

Derale Atomic-Cool Remote Transmission Cooler Kit w/ Fan, -6 AN Inlets - Class V
The fan is nice, the brass compression barbed fittings did not work. They leaked from both threads. I paid for fancy with a quickness 2 day shipping, took 5 days. I’m just glad I wasn’t too much in a hurry to cool my dads transmission for his road trip.
Everything was included to install the cooler and instruction sheet is useful. Hardest issue is where to mount. No leaks so far. Should help trans temps while towing.

Derale Series 7000 Tube-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/ Hose Barb Inlets - Class IV - Standard
Nice quality. Very effective. Installed on '08 Chrysler Town & Country van with 3.8L engine. Thought website difficult to decipher best product for my application. Had to buy [online] a pair of couplers for the 11/32nds ID hose supplied (used to splice into tranny line (cost about $6). Should have been supplied.
World class customer service. I will instal the part in the next few days but, super happy with the service and attention. Thanks
