Best 2020 Ford F-53 Vehicle Suspensions

These springs made a big difference in the handling of my Newmar Baystar 31' motorhome. Much improved ride compared to the factory suspension.

2017 Newmar Canyor Star: We installed the front & rear SUMO springs and the side-to-side sway improved a lot. Total installation time was less than 4 hours.

I installed these front Sumos on my 2023 Ford F53 chassis Class A Tiffin for several reasons. The factory bump stops had fallen out so something needed to be installed. I decided to invest in the Sumos to provide suspension support and get all the benefits of Sumos. I installed them, test drove the coach and am pleased with the results. They help cushion the front end and provide anti roll assistance. They work well with the Konis to soften the natural harshness of leaf springs. I’m very pleased with this addition.

A friend and I installed these, if was not difficult to figure out and was a big savings. My wife noticed the difference without knowing it. On a trip to a frequent location she would complain the entire trip after installation on the same trip she did not complain at all. Success!

Our 28 foot Ford chassis Class A handles like flying a kite with no string. It needed help. I started with the Sumo springs because the description made it sound like I could do them myself. Yep. Job accomplished. Then, I purchased a front sway bar, which did not come with my motorhome. Got ready for the job and discovered Sumo springs are incompatible with mounting a front sway bar. Had I known… By the way, we are still flying our kite and having a ball. 15 states and 16,000 happy miles. But it could be better.

Package had been torn open, and the box was empty except for bolts. I have cameras and they were not stolen from my house, so they must have come up missing during the delivery process

The system is working great. The only problem I had were the included bolts. They weren't threaded long enough and, therefore, couldn't be used. I had to use the old bolts and nuts to finish the installation.

without the sumosprings it was a whiteknuckle experiance so much so. it should be standard equipment

Greatly improved ride and handling. Had to re-plumb gray tank drain around spring.

The SumoSprings have reduced the sway when turning. Also, I am not being pushed sideways when a truck passes or during wind gusts as much as prior to installation. But, I think if I do the front springs I would see even more improvement. So, I have seen improvement but I believe more improvements are possible. I had an rv dealership install the SumoSprings at a cost of $250. The installation is relatively easy. I wish I had done it myself. But, I’m 76 and not as agile as I used to be.

Sumo springs are an excellent product. I installed them myself and found them easy to install. The difference in stability was night and day. They took most of the sway away and it handles much better on the freeway. We’ve had them on for a year now and they still perform perfectly. I would recommend them to anyone with a gas powered class A. Etrailer was very helpful because it’s important to get the correct Sumo Springs for the weight rating of your coach.

I have a 28-foot-long class A motorhome on a Ford F53 Chassis. The handling of the vehicle at any speed above 50 mph is terrible. The vehicle wanders all over; very difficult to keep the vehicle between the lane marker lines. The SumoSprings, installed front and rear, did not solve this problem. Money would have been better spent elsewhere!

Easy to install,should help with the combination of the front for the sway.

These helper springs made an amazing difference in the stability and ride comfort in our coach. Improved cornering and bounce control were immediately apparent. Plus, crosswind driving is much improved. The split design makes leveling easy as I typically raise the front of the coach rather than the rear. Installation is a lot of work, but can be done yourself with the right equipment. Very pleased.

My Sumo springs have made driving so much less stressful on my gas class A. Only put on the front but has eliminated most of the side to side rocking and has helped with general driving.

Sumo springs along with a steering stabizer, new shocks, and oversized sway bars seriously tightens the ride on older model RV with an f53 ford chasis. Long hauls become a lot less strenuous. I also put a memory foam and high density foam seat cushion on the driver's seat. We can travel all over with a lot less fatigue from fighting the wheel and pucker factor from blowing around the road. I took about 3 hours to unstall all 4 sumo springs.

Wow, what a difference. Installed on a 2005 Allegro Open Road 30 ft motorhome that has a 2004 Ford F53 chassis. It raised the front ride by an inch or two, so it looks less "saggy" up front. Also took the chatter out of a lot of small bumps in the road. MH feels much more stable on the road and has less roll/lean when corning. Install was pretty straight forward. Only have about 40 miles on them to date, but will give them a good test on a 1200 mile trip in a few weeks.

The installed system works great. The installation was WAY harder then the video suggests because of the limited space to work. Maybe a bit misleading

Even after checking for leaks at connections etc., Before leaving on a trip, I’m having to “air up” the bags before I leave. This being said, I feel they’ve helped the ride, especially in windy conditions.

Best upgrade for a Ford F53 to address the issue of coach builders using every last available bit of capacity on the leaf springs. We installed these front and back and have a noticeable better drive in regards to crosswinds and big rig push. Not eliminated but I could honestly say cut in half.

I really do think they’ve helped the ride especially in windy conditions. However, after checking for leaks at connections etc. I find that I have to “air up” the air bags before I leave on a trip.

Excellent fast free delivery, good instructions, 11/2-2 hrs installation time, not too difficult. I put 80lbs psi both sides and now going over a rough road at 55 mph instead of banging hard It bounces. Hopefully l can change the air pressure and find the sweet spot. 1st photo wheel off the ground, 2nd photo wheel on the ground. I installed Summo springs 4 yrs ago and they were totally flat,so not much help. As you can see in the 2nd photo the Summon spring has lifted up an inch, so some improvement there.

Installed the AirLift bags to improve the ride of my rig. The results have been outstanding. Ride and handling are remarkably improved. Overall I am very glad I installed this product.

I installed the airlift on my Fr3 30DS class A for more stability and to control the swaying. Well it did the job really well but the added bonus was that it reduced the road noise incredibly. Thank you, product highly recommended.
