Reese 60x24 Hitch Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - 500 lbs Capacity - Glossy Black
Solid carrier with plenty of room! Wow, I put this carrier to the test on a 1,600 mile road trip with our 2007 Toyota Highlander and was not disappointed. Plenty of room to store luggage for a family of four plus a load of Christmas presents. We kept everything secure and dry with the etrailer.com 20-cubic foot cargo bag and kept side movement to practically nil with the anti-rattle hitch pin. All around, the whole set up was rock solid and looked great! I highly recommend the light kit as well. With the cargo bag fully maxed out, the Highlander's taillights were blocked. And since we do a fair amount of driving at night I also added some reflective tape all around the top bar to give not only the sides some visibility, but also the back to get the attention of those not-so-attentive drivers behind me. Lastly, the kit was easy to put together; it came with spacers but I did not need them to obtain a flush assembly; the separation problem some have reported during assembly was avoided by torquing down the bolts around the nameplates before the main bar bolts, just as others have reported to have worked for them.
As others have written, I received the carrier very promptly. Packing was completely intact and carrier packaged very neatly. Assembled in 1/2 hour but I did purchase extra flat washers for larger bolts. Assembly is intuitive and straightforward. Have not used the carrier but I did "practice load" with the items I anticipate carrying and I am happy with the usefulness of the carrier. As I have a 2012 Highlander, clearance when loaded did not interfere with the tailgate nor were the taillights or licence plate obscured so I doubt I will require a light kit or tag holder. I do plan to add reflective tape to the carrier and purchase a hitch lock. So far so good. Customer service, feedback and tracking information from etrailer.com is EXCELLENT!

19x60 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Aluminum - Folding - 500 lbs
Had few questions about a roof rack and hitch carrier they were quickly and promptly answered (both informative and a fun email!). Place an order and delighted with the products, they exceeded my expectations.
Couldn't be more pleased. prompt delivery, product as described, I had it on the back of my Highlander within an hour. The enclosed instructions aren;t extremely detailed and I used the picture more than the printed word. One word of advice for other infrequent tool handlers- Really, Really don't tighten the connections completely until all of the nuts and bolts are in place. I went back and forth a few times because I ignored this in the instructions.

Curt 60x24 Hitch Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - 500 lbs Capacity - Matte Black
Excellent Cargo Basket. Well made. Took 20 minutes to put together ( 11 bolts ). 24 X 60 is a good size ...Love the curt products ....But wish they made it 24.5 or 25 x 60. After trying to organize my gear for a trip.... I would go with a 25 X 60 product ... lots of mid-sized coolers and totes are 24 inches like the Yetti 45 .. so it will not fit if set in front to back, has to go side to side and takes up a lot more space (more wasted space) Craftsman makes so nice totes that are made for tying down, can add a lock and stack if needed.
Hello! Quick service. Less than two days! It will give more room in my 2013 Highlander. Thanks again! G Leake

Rhino-Rack Roof Mounted Steel Cargo Basket - 47" Long x 35" Wide - 165 lbs
Another awesome product and smooth purchase from etrailer! Rhino Rack arrived on time for my short notice road trip and was easy to install.
Great product. Easily puts together and I was able to install on our 2016 Toyota Highlander OEM roof rails with no problems. The mounting brackets slide to make for a easy fit. Have taken it on two long road trips with zero issues last summer one to the montains and one to the beach. Was able to fit our jogging stroller on in the basket. Had some heavy rain on one trip and seen no signs of water getting into the rails as that was a concern of mine when researching the different racks. The high sides allowed for easy tie downs for the weather bag we put the stroller in. Seemed to add a little road noise with nothing in it but that is to be expected when hauling things on the roof but the wind deflector seemed to keep the noise down. Easy to put on and off with a single person able to lift it. Great product, great fit for the car. Plan on using it for some more upcoming trips.

Curt Roof Mounted Cargo Basket - 64-1/2" Long x 37" Wide x 4" Tall - 150 lbs
Simple to put together and install onto our roof rack (we own a Toyota Highlander). We loaded the roof rack fully (even more than we would have thought possible) and drove 1,300 miles (at the speed limit) and had no issues. It was easy to attach any type of strap, as the frame is sturdy.
The rack appears to be strong and made of good materials. I assembled it with no problems and mounted it to my Toyota Highlander. All in all, it took about 1 hour.

24x60 etrailer Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - Tilting - Folding - 500 lbs
I love this unit! I’m an avid Camper and Jeeper. My rig has big tires including the spare that requires additional clearance. In addition to hauling my gear, I had concerns about ground clearance off roading and stability. This unit exceeded my expectations on every point! I can even open the tailgate with the unit on and it still has enough clearance to fold up when not loaded. In addition to a great product, the order was confirmed and shipped same day and on my doorstep two days later. It was pretty easy to put together but having a second person to help and fit it on the first time is helpful. Great product!

17x46 Curt Cargo Carrier for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Steel - 500 lbs
This is a great product not to big and not to small. Seem to be very sturdy and strong, and it was very easy to put together. It doesn't stick out to far from the car either which is what I was hoping for. I also bought the same brand hitch to attach this to our 2015 highlander.
The order comes very fast, and easy to set up.look very good strong and good on my car .i hope to deal with you I the future again .Thanks.

GearDeck 17 Enclosed Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Slide Out - 17 cu ft - 420 lbs - Black
Perfect sized box for carry sized luggage and softball game day gear. Proven space saver. Receiver is showing signs of rust otherwise would be a ten. Would buy again.
Overall it's a great box. Love how much room it has and it's easy access. Slides out so van's rear doors open completely. Brake and turn lights improve visibility. Not waterproof but generally things stay dry. A couple of minor things: hole for lock was too close to the edge and pulled out so I drilled one on each front corner (more secure) - metal stays keep sliding out. I need to glue them in. I definitely would buy again.

Yakima OffGrid Roof Cargo Basket - Steel - 44" Long x 40" Wide - 165 lbs
I recieved my order in just a couple of days. It was easy to assemble and fits as advertised. Thanks to Etrailer for their great service.
The Yakima OffGrid medium rack arrived yesterday at about 10:30 a.m. It was fully unpacked/assembled/installed by about 11:45. etrailer did a fine job of communicating/pricing/delivering and supporting this good product. I've been using Yakima products (and others) for biking, paddling, fishing etc. for about 45 years. This rack is a serious solution to a variety of uses of a roof rack. I will be able to use it on various vehicles and for a number of applications (sports, chores, travel etc.) It has more flexibility than most racks and I can't imagine a more durable, quality design. My particular needs, being in my "Dotage", are met by the ability to remove the cross bars and fairing for an open platform, or keep them on and custom fit to a spare tire, or bike rack, kayak rack etc. The attaching mechanisms drew my attention. I put this on the car with solo and with caution using a protective mat. It is very manageable and easy to fit. These mechanisms for tightening down on the crossbars bring the added value (and cost) to folks like me that don't want to spend a lot of time and effort installing a rooftop rack. I wanted secure, solid attachment with simplicity. The OffGrid delivers! No pain killers needed after the install! This "Medium" OffGrid is more than adequate for my initial uses. The internal and external dimensions are pretty much ideal for this 2017 Sienna. A full size spare tire will fit just right. A nice fit for a canoe as well. I admit to scouring the internet and considering dozens of products from baskets to platforms and this OffGrid showed a lot of promise. Its versatility and ruggedness competes with the best designs at about half the price of many. My thoughts included the extension bracket, but the medium OffGrid really does meet most of my expectations and needs for various applications. Now, to the matter of noise. There is wind noise. However, for me, it simply blends into the symphony of white noise that comes with highway travel (and the ringing in my ears) :)......Of all the racks, bikes, canoes, kayaks ladders, lumber, etc., etc. that I have carried on car tops, the wind sounds of this carrier are negligible. The fairing is a nice, well thought out feature that works well. So, my five star rating is for both the product and the vendor. Once again "eTrailer" has proven themselves to be one of the best sources of such products nationwide. Their product information efforts are an industry leader and they deserve credit for providing extremely helpful product reviews and explanations. That's what got me to choose them on this purchase. Those of us well into our "Dotage" appreciate learning all we can!

Yakima MegaWarrior Extra Large Roof Rack Cargo Basket - Steel - 74" Long x 48" Wide
Very well built quality products from Yakima.
Initial quality was excellent and assembly a snap. Finding a roof basket that wouldn't look like a tiny hat on a Jeep Commander was difficult, but the MegaWarrior is perfect! Assembly and mounting took less than an hour and it looks great. Now it just needs to be outfitted with a set of off-road lights. ;-)

Yakima RocketBox Pro 14 Rooftop Cargo Box - 14 cu ft - Black
Perfect fit on my 2014 Jetta Sportwagen. Lets me accomodate my lighter weight camping gear and leave the heavier stuff in the car. Very secure and aerodynamic and had very little impact on my mileage. My only issue was I could never find the serial number on my rocketbox.
I've taken one 1500 mile trip so far with the Yakima RocketBox Pro 14 mounted on my RAV4. I found the box to be quiet and not to have much impact on gas mileage. I lost maybe 1 mpg with it mounted to my flush mounted Whisperbars. I drove through some very heavy rain and had a minimal amount of water inside under a thin rubber mat I had placed on the bottom of the box; none on my luggage got wet. This box works great to give me more carrying capacity when traveling with my two crated Dobermans.

Stromberg Carlson 60x23 Hitch Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - 500 lbs Capacity - Matte Black
I bought this trailer to use with my 2013 highlander and it meets all my expectations. I've used it to haul a variery of equipment including a small push LAWN mower and a 350lb plug aereator and it was solid. My only complaint is it is too narrow. So far so good.
Got the CC-100 for my travel trailer along with a lockable rattle proof lock pin and 20 Cu.Ft. etrailer cargo bag.I added some reflective tape on the back and sides. Ready to roll...
Set up: 24x60 etrailer Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches on a 2019 Toyota Highlander
Hey everyone, it's Trevor with E-Trailer. Today we're gonna talk about the E-Trailer cargo carrier on the back of our 2019 Toyota Highlander. Now why you might want a cargo carrier Say you have a little bit of extra luggage you wanna take on a long road trip, or someone does some projects at home and you don't wanna get the back of your Highlander messy, this would be a great option to securely strap it down outside of your vehicle and take it from point A to point B without ever having to worry about it. Now how much space do we actually have to work with here So interior we're looking at 60 by 24 inches. So that's quite a lot of room to fit bags of concrete or a couple suitcases and a cooler. And with all that room in this cargo carrier, it also boasts a 500 pound weight capacity.

Now we can kind of get a better idea of how much space we're actually working with. So looks like we got 47-1/2" by 20-1/2" there. etrailer Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2019 Toyota Highlander e98991
Rob: Hey everybody. Rob here at etrailer.com and today we're going to be taking a look at the etrailer Aluminum Cargo Carrier. This is going to be really handy for a lot of different situations. Maybe we're going on a road trip and we want to make sure we have as much space on the inside of our Highlander so we can move a lot of that gear to the outside. It's definitely a lot easier to load this up rather than any kind of cargo basket that may be on top of a roof rack. I don't know about you, but I'm a little bit on the shorter side so if I have a cooler or some larger, bigger gear, definitely a lot more convenient to put it back here than try to get it all the way up above my head. This is going to be a pretty decent size.
Mount: Curt Roof Mounted Cargo Basket on a 2019 Toyota Highlander
Adam: Hi everyone. Adam with etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at the curt roof mounted cargo basket, on our 2019 Toyota Highlander. So this basket is going to be a great addition to your Highlander just so we can get some of that cargo out of the inside of our vehicle, up on top. The Highlander will be able to haul quite a bit of people and people equals luggage. So I know whenever I'm going on vacations, I like my leg room.
MaxxTow Roof Mounted Cargo Basket Review - 2019 Toyota Highlander
Hi everyone. Adam with etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at the MaxxTow, MaxxHaul, roof mounted cargo basket on our 2019 Toyota Highlander. This basket is going to be a great accessory for your Highlander just because we can fit quite a bit of passengers inside. Of course if we're going on a long trip we're going to have a lot of cargo. To be able to put it up on top of our roof without adding any length to the back of our vehicle, like a hitch-mounted cargo carrier, I think it's going to be ideal.
Setting up the Yakima OffGrid Roof Cargo Basket on a 2019 Toyota Highlander

DIY 2019 Toyota Highlander Installation for the Rhino-Rack Pioneer Roof Rack Platform for Crossbars
Adam: Hi everyone. Adam with etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Rhino Rack Pioneer Platform rack on our 2019 Toyota Highlander. This whole entire platform is going to be made of aluminum and it's going to measure about 58 inches to about 47 inches. It's all going to be made of aluminum, so it's going to naturally resist against that rust and corrosion. We're going to have a decent looking powder-coated finish on top of that, so it's going to look pretty nice and sporty as well.
Hands-On with the 24x60 Reese Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches on a 2019 Toyota Highlander
Ryan: Hey, everybody. Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2019 Toyota Highlander, we're going to be taking a look at the Reese Explorer Hitch-Mounted Cargo Carrier.Carrier is going to allow us to do a couple of things, either carry more gear than we normally could on the inside of our vehicle or take that stuff from the inside, keep it outside and free up some space for more passengers. Now, one of my favorite things about our carrier is that this is going to be one of the larger ones available. It's going to measure 24" long, 60" wide, and 5-1/2" tall, but it's not going to be so large that it'll look funny on the back of your car. Now, whenever we're using the carrier, it is going to extend the overall length of our Highlander. By exactly how much, from the bumper to the end of the carrier is about 37-1/2".
What our customers are saying:
"I received my cargo carrier today. I ordered the 52018 and I just put it together and put it on my 1996 Land Rover Discovery. I must say, the fit and finish is AWESOME! I slid it into the trailer hitch receiver and then stood on the center beam and the carrier acted as if I weren't there. I can now take my family of five to Florida in our new Land Rover and carry all of our luggage and SCUBA gear. Thanks for the great product at a great price and with great service."
