Best 2016 Chevrolet Colorado Tire Chains

I did indeed receive my chains. They look good. It will be a little while before I do a test installation. When I have feedback to give, I will visit the page you included.

I bought chains and rubber tensioners. Be sure to get tensioner! The chains were delivered very quickly. Packed in a very sturdy box. I unpacked them and practiced installing them on my 2005 4Runner with 265/70/17 tires. No problem putting them on. First time I used chains with cams. They made installation a snap. We live in Colorado. I got them a couple of days before a snow storm. We got hit with 16” of snow so I was able to try the chains right away. We live on a hill. I drove without the chains first and then installed the chains so I could make a comparison. Without the chains on mud and snow tires I was slipping around and almost got stuck. I was in 4WD with the center differential locked. I installed the chains (glad I practiced) and was able to drive the hill in 4WD hi with the center differential unlocked. This was a great buy at a great price!

Great Product. It was the right size for my tires. The chains worked as expected. The only thing was that one broke wile i was driving. It didn't ripped of the tire or damage my vehicle, it broke from the loose ende where you adjust the chain so that it is tight to the tire. I don't know if it was the condition of the road or something else. I still can use it on my truck but i don't think i can use it on a bigger tire size.

Ordered a pair of Glacier cable chains for my Chevy Colorado. I was worry I could not get them in time for a New Year's Eve trip to Yosemite. I got them in two days...they are so easy to install, and we are very happy! I will definitely order from etrailer again. Thank you etrailer!

We went elk hunting in Colorado in Nov. one foot of snow . It took awhile but we made really like the cam lock tightners you can really snug them up

Excellent customer service, product is exactly what was described. I have not used the chains as of yet since we live in Texas but we are going to Colorado this weekend so I'm sure we will have a perfect opportunity to try them out. I have found my new favorite place to shop.

I actually don't ever plan on using these chains. I live in California, drive an f150 4x4, but am requried by law to carry chains when chain restrictions are in place. We all know that before Caltrans/CHP require that 4x4's with MS or AT tires chain up, they will just close the roads. Great service and prompt delivery. Thank you!

Just received my chains yesterday. I have to say, first of, customer service is EXCELLENT! I had questions on which chains were best for my SUV and I was promptly responded with suggestions and links to videos. I went with these tire cables for my 2015 Dodge Durango SXT Plus. There was question about clearance issues with brake lines on the Durango and these seem to be very low profile and made for lower clearance. The price was right too. I did a dry install today and it was a breeze. Took way longer to fold these back up and put back into the storage bag! Lol! (That's not these chains fault, it's user error...) I took some pictures but note it was my first time installing tire cables so I'm going to have to center them a bit more. I purchased the Titan chain multi arm rubber chain adjusters and they did make a difference on how snug the cables fit, so I would recommend them. We only plan on using them on very rare occasions when we venture up the mountain, so in sure if you live where it snows all the time, you will probably look at higher prices chains, but I think these are perfect for the occasional use. I will update after our Big Bear trip if we use them to reflect actual use. Thank you etrailer, they also upgraded my shipping to get here a couple days earlier just because... that was amazing!

These are the best and most durable chains out there. I live in the mountains of Colorado on a dirt road which I have to plow myself. I keep the chains on all Winter and my truck ready to plow. This is the toughest road and these chains handle the worst conditions and stand up to the challenge. I whole-heartedly recommend these chains.

I ordered tire chains on a Tuesday in Colorado. The company expedited them due to a snow storm for no extra charge! They arrived that same Thursday afternoon! Excellent customer service, packaging was great, and items are as described on the website.

These are really easy to put on and take off. I have used them three times on my 2019 chevy colorado (4wd) to deal with high elevation mountain snow. After each use, I washed them, hung to dry and then put back in the truck. They are so awesome, I recommend them to others.

I have not had to use them yet but they were easy to install while the car was in my garage. I purchased them for a road trip from Colorado to Idaho just in case I needed them and I did not have an opportunity to try them out.

Chains or my truck arrived on time. I selected the chains based on the tries size for my truck and they fit perfectly. Chains come in hard sided bag with a handle making them easy to carry & move.

I needed these chains for the high country of Colorado and they will work great for that. They appear strong and easy to get on and off. Etrailers did a fantastic job of getting these to me in just a few day.

Fits well. Easy to put on and take off. Silicon spray on the red cables seems wise. Maria was amazing in customer service. I love etrailer. One thing I would change. Use fewer staples when packing the box. I had lots of staples in my Konig box, which I would liked to have kept nice with a $[XX] product. See photos

These are really good-quality chains. I dinged them one star because I ended up cutting three links (could have cut four) off both the inside and outside. With the TCMA2 rubber adjusters (that I also purchased) the chains seem reasonably snug and should work fine, but they could be a little smaller for my 255 65 17 tires.

1/15/2024 I couldn’t go up my property, so on 1/17 I ordered this chain with the TCMA2 Rubber chain hook. On 1/22 I tried it was a beautiful climb, and decent, my driveway has a 17 degree slope. I try again next day with a glance of ice, NO Problem! A year later, same success! Love to have the right tool.

Chains are perfect, mounted and tested, getting my snowplow ready for winter. I only had to cut a few links off of the ends for a perfect fit, I made sure the v-bars were all pointing out. I am anxious for our first snowfall. I am happy with all of my purchases from e-trailer

These chains are good quality and easy to install. I expect to deal with more icy road conditions than deep snow, and I think they ride smother and will cause less wear on my tires than the old-style heavy chains.

The product was as expected. They were easy to install in the comfort of my garage and fit nicely. Chains were not required on my recent trip, but the peace of mind having them was great. Don't forget to order tensioners.

They fit good here at home in the gravel driveway. I'll have to wait until we get to Colorado on our hunting trip to actually determine how they do in the snow and mud.The main objective was clearance on the front tires and that seems to be OK so far.

Quality made product right out of the package. I haven't had a chance to use them but being a welder/fabricator I can see the quality in the work done on these. Looking forward to slapping these bad boys on and tearing up the snow and ice!

This product replace my 12 years old snow track. The main side cables and x-cables/roller are twice as large in diameter. Much heavier but draped over the wheels with no problem. Installation is simple as described on your video. Fit is good. I am anxious to try idriving with it on snow and ice. But, I don’t drive when the weather is not permitting and the road is not clear. But, it is a good feeling to have a new snow chain with you instead of the old rusty and twisted one. The 5 arms tensioner are much better than my single loop. Just a couple of cons: 1. The latch on the outside cable connectors are difficult to lock and unlock in place. Plier to compress it to lock in position and flat head screw driver to open it from lock position are good help. 2. The red “S” clips that is right next to the connector assembly does not work. The cable is too stiff and the cable connector assembly gets in the way in securing excess cables from slapping around. Place the clip on the next link to secure. You will end up with an inch high bulge on the cable so make sure you have enough clearance inside the wheel well when the wheels is fully turned right and left. I shopped around and you will NEVER beat this price. Clear instructions (video on etrailer was super helpful also). Great carry bag! A nice product to have "just in case." Hopefully I will never have to use them...

I use these on a 2018 2-wheel drive Chevy Colorado. I live in the Upper Penninsula of Michigan where snow is generally measured in feet, not inches. These chains work extremely well. The only issue, and it's not a real serious one, is that if at all possible put them on on a dry clean surface if possible, don't wait until your stuck, because they are a little difficult to put on in those conditions.

Bought them for a ski trip to Colorado and never actually had to use them. I did however do a test fit before I left and they were very easy and simple to put on.

I have not used the cables just yet. Hopeful I will not need to since I have AWD. However it's nice to have them just in case. I wasn't sure what ones to get but their customer service was great and shipping was fast. They are a nice set of cables. I definitely do not have any hesitations in using etrailers.

etrailer delivered these quickly, as always. The chains themselves are pretty good, but not perfect. The chains look nice when new, but the finish wore off immediately on the first use, which led to rust immediately. Maybe that's expected? The storage bag is fine for shipping, but not great for storing, so have a plan for that. My biggest issue is that the cam tightening wrench that came with the chains is really soft metal and twisted badly on the first install (not much pressure IMO). I do't trust it now as it will likely break...it's twisted bad. I also ordered the TCTH3 wrench with the chains as it was listed as an accessory. The flat doesn't fit into the cams, it's too big. Not good to figure this out in the field. Luckily I had two sets of chains so I was able to use the wrench from the other set to remove the chains. To summarize, the chains themselves work fine as chains, just wish they had a better finish. The cam wrench is terrible...not sure what to do about that yet. The accessory wrench doesn't fit the cams.

I have used the chains twice in deep snow and they held up and worked well.

I will be traveling to CO in spring and these are required by law. These came well packaged in their own carrying case, seem to be of good quality and instructions are very clear to understand. They were purchased for my 5th wheel and I hope to never have to use them.

I just ordered a second set of these like I should have from the start. I was using one set of chains on my FWD car. Getting a second pair so I will have chains on all of my tires. These chains fit and performed perfectly.
