Reese 60x24 Hitch Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - 500 lbs Capacity - Glossy Black
Awesome product! easy to put together and carries so much gear without impacting gas mileage. I got the light kit so I can really load it but it rides so low with my Subaru Outback they're not really needed.
Very happy with purchase of cargo carrier. Arrived within week and less than 30 min to assemble. Installed on 2016 Suburu, used as cargo carrier, firewood carrier, and as kitchen counter while car camping. Did not block license plate or rear lights on car with cargo bag. Added reflective tape to back side.

Yakima LoadWarrior Roof Rack Cargo Basket - Steel - 44" Long x 39" Wide
This product fits my 2014 Subaru outback perfectly. It look like it was made for this vehicle. I actually believe this is the same rack you can purchase through Subaru with a faring that says Subaru instead of Yakima. It looks great and adds function and utility
I am very happy with both the initial quality of the Load Warrior and how nice the eTrailer people are to deal with... The product seems well thought out and there are a bunch of accessories to mount most anything...

Thule Canyon XT Roof Cargo Basket - Steel - 49" x 40" x 6" - 150 lbs
Excellent basket! Very well made. High quality equipment. Taking a star off because it should have included locking cores at the price.
Others stated directions were hard to follow but my husband had it installed on my 2007 Subaru Outback Wagon in less than an hour by himself the only thing I helped with was lifting it up and off the roof of the car. I chose Thule because they stand behind their product. Thule is the best cargo roof basket available on the market and they back it up with a Lifetime Warranty! I have not had any cargo in it yet but have had it up to 75 miles an hour with no wind drag empty. There is a speed rating on this basket of 80 miles an hour so I wonder if the wind complaint reviewers are driving in excess of 80 miles an hour. No matter what vehicle you put it on it has a nice, sleek, sturdy appearance. From what I have researched the less expensive roof cargo baskets only have up to a 2 year warranty and are plagued by rust issues.

Rhino-Rack Roof Mounted Steel Cargo Basket - 47" Long x 35" Wide - 165 lbs
Have not hauled anything since installed but it looks great and is solid. When at freeway speeds I can faintly hear the wind whistling through it but I expected that.
Very high quality. Installed in about an hour. Extremely satisfied.

17x46 Curt Cargo Carrier for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Steel - 500 lbs
We're very happy with this purchase; it's spacious and easy to install. We have a Subaru Outback. Combined with a rooftop carrier, we were able to move all of our daughter's things into her college dorm in one trip!
Once it was together, I really liked it. It wasn’t that easy to put together and it required metric tools which I had to search for. It worked well and it was very useful.

Thule Pulse Large Rooftop Cargo Box - 16 cu ft - Matte Black
Love this Rooftop box! It's easy to install & remove, and very secure. It compliments our Outback, as well, in appearance.
We love this rooftop carrier. It is roomy, lightweight, and very easy to mount onto the factory cross-bars of our 2012 Subaru Outback. We've driven it through rain and had no issues with water infiltration although I believe they have disclaimers that it is not waterproof. It is large enough to fit our full size baby stroller (folded up of course) along with beach umbrellas, sleeping bags, etc.

20x47 Reese Cargo Carrier for 1-1/4" Hitches - Steel - 300 lbs
This Reese Cargo Carrier worked great! Our adult daughter put it together herself with no problems. It worked great on the back of our Subaru Outback on our weeklong trip. We look forward to using it for many more years.
WELL WORTH THE EXTRA FEW $$$ I bought a Hidden Hitch for my Subaru Outback so I wouldn't be bashing folks shins. Problem is, with a regular basket, you have to crawl under to get the pin in. With this raised basket it is MUCH EASIER. It is also nice that it is custom cut for tail lights when I want to go that route. If you have a Class2 hitch - THIS IS THE BASKET TO BUY.

Curt Roof Mounted Cargo Basket - 41-1/2" Long x 37" Wide x 4" Deep - 150 lbs
I've had this roof basked for a year now, and it has done very well for us so far. I mount this to my 2023 Subaru Outback XT Onyx Edition for when we take family trips that require more gear than will fit in the cargo area. It allows my son to remain comfortable in the back seat (he's a sprawler with gadgets and books on long trips) while making sure that we have all the gear we need. On week-long trips to both Canaan Valley, WV and Lewes Delaware, we were able to strap our cooler and other weatherproof gear into the basket with ease. The mounting system is plenty sturdy, and the basket was able to fit a lot of cargo easily and safely. It didn't retain water in the tubes or connecting pieces after several rain storms, and I haven't seen any evidence of rust so far. I should note that I don't leave it mounted to the car 24/7 because I don't pretend to be some overland fanatic, so it lives in my furnace room (easily supported by aluminum brackets tap-conned into the cinderblock wall) when not in use. This will definitely give it a longer lifespan. I'd definitely buy one again. The size is perfect for my Outback and fits plenty of gear.
Nice looking carrier and holds a good amount of cargo. It would be nice to have a better mounting system that does not interfere with the bottom of the carrier. Overall, it fit our needs well.

Curt Roof Mounted Cargo Basket - 64-1/2" Long x 37" Wide x 4" Tall - 150 lbs
2016 Subaru Outback. Product fitment and instructions were amazing. Very easy to install and took almost no time at all. Probably close to 30 minutes or so. Very pleased. If you're considering this product, I would recommend giving Greg a call. He helped me out tremendously.
Easy assembly solid construction. My kit was missing two nuts. No big deal I have drawer full. Seems to be a heavy duty unit that will take some abuse. Leaving for a road trip soon will find out.

Yakima RocketBox Pro 14 Rooftop Cargo Box - 14 cu ft - Black
Perfect fit on my 2014 Jetta Sportwagen. Lets me accomodate my lighter weight camping gear and leave the heavier stuff in the car. Very secure and aerodynamic and had very little impact on my mileage. My only issue was I could never find the serial number on my rocketbox.
I've taken one 1500 mile trip so far with the Yakima RocketBox Pro 14 mounted on my RAV4. I found the box to be quiet and not to have much impact on gas mileage. I lost maybe 1 mpg with it mounted to my flush mounted Whisperbars. I drove through some very heavy rain and had a minimal amount of water inside under a thin rubber mat I had placed on the bottom of the box; none on my luggage got wet. This box works great to give me more carrying capacity when traveling with my two crated Dobermans.

It's the perfect size for the Subaru Outback. Sturdy, light, simple and elegant design. The newer mounting hardware makes it very easy to put on and take off.

Thule Pulse Alpine Rooftop Cargo Box - 11 Cu Ft - Matte Black
if the box could slide up another inch the hatch would clear the back of the box. I have a 2017 Subaru Outback. I just received the box today and have not taken it out on the road.
my rooftop carrier! It was perfect for our golf clubs. etrailer was wonderful. Great communication and it arrived on expected date.

19x47 Curt Cargo Carrier for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Steel - 300 lbs
i purchased this last week to help keep the inside of my Outback clean. my husband put it together while watching tv, so assembly was easy. so far it has been used to take yard debris to the transfer station and to pick up bags of gravel and top soil. it seems very sturdy as long as you tighten the bolt with a ratchet--otherwise it is a little wobbly. we have an old thule bike rack with the same issue, so we keep a ratchet in the car. it does not weigh too much, so storage and on-and-off is easy.
Excellent value and utility. Clear and easy instructions. Assembly was quick. Great that it fits on both a 1-1/4 or 2-inch hitch. The accompanying threaded hitch pin keeps carrier wiggle free. Only suggestions—Secure bright orange poles (or other hitch aligner sticks) on back ends so you see them in your rear view mirror and drivers behind you are alerted to your extension. I bolted mine on through a side hole and used a cable tie to keep them from rotating. And for those concerned, get a short cable lock for security. Thread it through the receiver chain slots and one of the side holes of the cargo carrier.

Curt 60x24 Hitch Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - 500 lbs Capacity - Matte Black
Product fits just right on our 2011 Subaru Outback. Combined with the anti-rattle lock and etrailer cargo bag; a great combination. Rain and snow and no leaks. Just right...
Great cargo rack! Well made and strong. We modified ours to carry our ebikes on top of our generator and cooler. We've been from coast to coast with no problems.

SportRack Vista XL Cargo Box - Roof Mount - 18 cu ft - Black
After a year of dependable use the SportRack Vista XL Cargo Box continues to perform to my needs, wants, and expectations. The 2 attributes that shine the most are ease of access/cargo loading (rear access vs. side) and ease of off/on (lightweight and access to the U-bolt hardware). While the overall quality of the materials and hardware are not quite "Excellent", they're darn close. For my needs I'm very happy with this cargo box and the price point makes it a better option the the more expensive brands. It may not be as cool and groovy as a Th*** or Yak*** box but it gets the job done.
The Roof Box was as described and fit great -- Nice. Shipping however was not good, trucker dropped it and the skid at the foot of the driveway -- It looked like it had been crushed and dropped. There was some slight damage, but we accepted it as complaining would be more trouble than it is worth. E Trailer should vet their carriers better -- no care taken with this shipment.

24x60 etrailer Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - Tilting - Folding - 500 lbs
I haven't tested the cargo carrier yet, but this review is for etrailer customer service. After receiving the carrier, the square piece that goes into the hitch receiver was out of square, so it wouldn't go in. We need the carrier to head out of state to visit for Christmas and are leaving tomorrow morning 6am. After calling etrailer, they expedited shipping and the new part arrived today, even though tracking said tomorrow (which would be too late for our trip)! Thank you etrailer for saving Christmas!!! More review to come after the trip!
Love it! Fits perfectly to my Outback. No issues opening hatch and it folds up perfectly to keep me moving once I’m unpacked at the beach. Heavy duty construction too.
etrailer Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2014 Subaru Outback Wagon
What's up everybody, it's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be checking out the etrailer aluminum cargo carrier on our 2014 Subaru Outback. It's gonna be a good solution if you don't have enough space on the inside, when you get some of your stuff out here, give everybody more legroom, making everybody happier on those longer trips. Or if you have muddy gear, dirty gear, sandy gear, you can all store it out here. That way, the mess is out here and never goes inside your vehicle. It's much easier to spread this over the hose, than it is to vacuum the inside of your vehicle.
How Does the 23x47 Carpod Walled Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches Fit on a 2014 Subaru Outback Wagon?
Today in our 2014 Subaru outback wagon we're doing a test fit of the Carpod wall 23 by 47 cargo carrier. That part number is M2205, its designed to work with 2 inch hinges. So the first thing we're going to do is take a few measurements here, are ground clearance is going to be first. We are going to have about 17 and 1/4 inches of clearance overall for our vehicle we're adding about 31 and 3/4 inches and our closes point to our Outback will be here at our reyshank 00:42 and that's going to be about 2 and 1/4 inches away there. Now on our Subaru we have a single driver's side exhaust, it does come straight out and towards the ground down here, so we're not going to have any problems carrying heat sensative materials on our carrier since it heads directly towards the ground. Now unfortunately in this position we aren't able to access our back hatch area but if we take out our pins at each corner here, we'll remove those, we're able to set our sides all the way down for a more compact position. So leave those sitting up, we'll set our pins off to the side leave them somewhere where we won't lose them like our glove box or somewhere in our vehicle. We'll pull our strap through just underneath our bars here or sides here and then we are going to close those down and its just going to make it easier to pull out and secure our sides, so they don't move whenever we're driving down the road. Now in this position here we are able to access our back hatch area, we can get anything in or out that we may need, and we might be able to stand in between the carrier and the vehicle.
Fit Verified: 20x59 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches on a 2014 Subaru Outback Wagon

It's designed to work with two-inch hitches. The first thing I'll do is take a few measurements. Our ground clearance is going to be about 11 3/4 inches. Overall to the back of the vehicle, we're adding about 31 1/4 inches.
Will the 20 x 59 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches Fit Your 2014 Subaru Outback Wagon?

Compatible? Yes! The 32x48 Reese Solo Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches Fits a 2014 Subaru Outback Wagon
Today on our 2014 Subaru Outback, we're going to be test fitting the 31 by 47 Pro Series Solo Cargo Carrier. This has been designed for use with 2 inch hitches and it offers a 400 pound weight capacity. Its part number is PS1040100. To begin our test fit, we need to slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch. It's one of the larger carriers that we have, so using 2 people to install it is helpful. A way I've adopted of installing it, just with 1 person, is to stick the shank into the receiver tube, then pick up on the rear as you push in, and that should help you get it up in there where you need it if you're doing it by yourself. We then need to line up our pin holes. We'll then take a standard 5/8ths pin and slide that through.

It is designed for use in two inch hitches and it offers a four hundred and fifty pound weight capacity. This part number is 59550. We are going to test fit, we are going to slide the shank of the carrier into the receiver tube of our hitch, then you slide it in far enough so the threaded hole lines up with our hitch pinhole. Then take our anti rattle bolt and thread that in, then we use a wrench to tighten it down.
