Best 2012 Ford F-150 Tonneau Covers

So far I like this tonneau cover very much. The quality of the cover and materials is excellent. The installation took longer than it probably should have, but I had some trouble understanding portions of the instructions. There is a video on YouTube made by Etrailer which was extremely helpful compared to some other video instructions. So far I am impressed with both the Truxedo Truxsport and purchasing from Etrailer.

I needed a way to travel in my F150 without my belongings getting wet or stolen. I also do antique and flea market shows, so having a cover for my truck bed was essential. I looked on YouTube and found this cover, and the video shows how simple it is to install, and boy was it easy! I'm a 59 year old woman and I did it by myself in about an hour! I love how it makes my truck look too. Thanks Etrailer!

It’s been worth every penny spent

The Bak Flip works exactly as it was designed to do. It looks good and opens and closes easily. Water does enter around the edges depending on the unevenness of the surface on which the truck is setting.

The cover took longer than expected top be delivered, but once it got here, it was an easy installation. The only glitch was that the instructions could have been better illustrated in regards to the placement of the foam trim for the main cross bar that rests on top of the front bed wall.

My second Truxedo. Perfect fit, easy installation. Provides almost full access to bed and is easily removed.

When I had trouble with the vinyl cover shrinkage and corners not fitting properly, they without question replaced the vinyl top. However, the replacement did the same thing. The gradual shrinkage caused the rounded corners to crawl up over the corner brackets which looks weird and hard to get the back latch bar down to lock cause of the excess tension of the vinyl due to shrinkage. The quality of the frame work is good however!

Truxedo has great quality covers and mine was no exception. Extremely easy to install. I wasn't able to clamp the rail clamps on fully seated due to my truck bed liner, but it fits well. Holds up in heavy snow and rain. I love the fact that you can roll up the cover. I've also removed the support bars when I have a full load in the truck and still kept things dry.

This is a great cover. I have been very pleased. It was recommended by a friend who loves his cover and I see why. Great product.

Very nice cover. Easy installation, perfect fit. Roll up covers are the best option for folks that actually use their truck for work.

We bought (2) of these covers a year ago and would definitely highly recommend them. This is a well thought-out, nicely featured and well designed product of excellent quality. In the past we used Velcro strip hold-down "tarp-type" Tonneau covers in the past and will never go back. These covers roll up effortlessly and very quickly compared to the Velcro type. And, (as long as you keep the lock-down bar & track clean) they just as effortlessly roll out, lay down, lock down, and stay down - no stretching and having to take time working to get the tarp tight so that it doesn't "flap" in the wind. Wonderful product.

truXedo is a great product. It was easy to install and looks great on the truck.

After a year of this cover on my truck, it is still in excellent condition and keeping my truck bed protected from the elements. The Velcro and seals are still working perfectly even after removing the cover completely a few times. Another great product from etrailer.

Great bed cover. Customer service was incredible. Video said it could be installed in 30-45 mins. I had it done in about 20. This is a great cover. Completely water tight. I highly recommend it.

Sorry to say no pictures available at present as I don't have vehicle with me as I'm at work. Be assured that the equipment purchased and installed is working fine and has lived up to its advertisement in all respects. Would recommend to anyone in need or desire for this particular model. I have tried a few other brands in the past and am very impressed with the ease of installation and how secure this cover is. Compared to Velcro models I feel this cover has a huge advantage when traveling in high wind conditions. This is the second time I have bought from etrailer and have been very impressed with their follow up and service. Their prices are as competitive as anyone too. I’m sure I will buy again from etrailer in the future!

Very easy to install and looks great. It literally took me less than 4 minutes of actual installation time. The only tool used was a box cutter to open the box. Removed it from the box, put in position, and clamped in down inside the box. Has a great seal all the way around the bed. The only change I would make in the design is to have the front installation brackets more like the read for easy removal. The front brackets require a bit of unscrewing whereas the rear easy a quick pull down release. Love it.

Received cover prior to expected, fit was great, install was as stated and simple. Good product, very well designed and more durable than I thought it would be

I'm happy with my purchase. Surprised that it is as water tight as advertised. A good product at the price.

The cover has been great. I would buy it again. The only gripe from me is that for some unknown reason, one screw rusted ( as shown in the attached photo ). Why one, and not the other 3 ?? who knows...

I had a some trouble putting it on since I had a bed liner on my 2017 Ford F-150. It did have a long scratch on the black paint which is not seen unless I flip it up against the back of the truck cab. Overall the construction quality is very good and it looks like it should last five to eight years under my type of moderate use.

This cover was exactly as advertised. I highly recommend it. I am very pleased with my purchase. E-trailer is one of the best retailers I have worked with. I would receommend them to anyone.

Great Product works very well.

Everything was on time and good quality. Easy to install, but you need to open the lock before installing the rail. If the lock is in the lock or down position the rail won’t go on. Other than that it was easy and it looks great on the truck!

Looks great. Should be durable enough for me and my application. Appears to be well made and was fairly easy to install. I was replacing an older well used cover for my truck that was a dealer installed after market cover that was merely worn out. My brother and I installed this Slingshot in a little less than an hour. A person with with average skills should be able to install this cover with minimal issue. Certainly is easier with two people but not difficult.

Great looking and working cover. The cover slides back and forth like it was on buttered rails. Installation took about an hour by myself. I included a bed rug with this and they easily complement each other. I had a question on the clamps and etrailer got me the answers right away.

My Truxedo Tonneau cover is still doing its job of keeping things out of sight and protected from the elements. It also looks good and was fairly easy to install. Although I probably could have done entirely alone it was a good help for my wife to loan me an extra pair of hands when positioning the rails.

I feel I received good value for the money. Very easy to install and remove or fold-up. So far, the material has held up well, though I think the clamps could use a little more reinforcement. The only complaint is that despite trying to get the cover as tight as possible, it flaps in the wind while driving and I am concerned that it will accelerate deterioration of cover, perhaps if were a little heavier. That all said, I would recommend this cover.

I love this cover! It adds to the look of my truck while keeping my cargo protected. It also increases fuel efficiency by blocking air from going into the bed of the truck while I'm driving. Super easy to install/open and close.

This is my second Truxedo tonneau cover on my 2007 F150. The first lasted 10 years and 200,000 miles in the frigid NE winters and 4 years of the FL sun. The cover and hardware were still in good shape, but the Velcro stitching came loose from frequent use (had it sewn once by an auto upholsterer, but it only lasted a year...). The second one purchased a year ago is showing no signs of wear, the effects of the sun, the 35,000 interstate miles, or the beating of Hurricane Irma. I highly recommend Truxedo products and etrailer! I've purchased several products from them and have never been disappointed with the products or the service.
