Best 2010 Toyota Tundra Tire Chains

Product fit and performed as promised. Communication about my order status from etrailer was great. Price was as good as any I could find. the only downside was item I ordered was out of stock and it took a while to receive. I was given the option to substitute and declined but I thought that was another part of the great service. I would definitely purchase from etrailer again.

This product looks bettet than advertzed. I've owned several sets of tire chains in the past, but none as light and appearing so easy to install. Also, this is the first pair that came on a compact, easy to carry travel case. I am very pleased, and feel that when needed these chains will work perfect.

William S. was very helpful & knowledgeable of the products I was interested in. I received them in a timely manner. I installed them with little difficulty (on all four wheels) of my 2016 Toyota tundra and took it for a test drive on hard packed snow & ice covered roads in our neighborhood which includes some very steep hills. They worked great. Traction & control uphill & down was excellent. There was no interference to full lock turns in front even though I had oversized tires 285/75 R 18's.

The original pair of chains were just as advertised. Easy to install and fit my Tundra without adjustments. Unfortunately one of the links on the right side broke while driving however after contacting etailer I was easily able to return that pair for a new pair of chains.

these are nice heavy chains. however, i felt the workmanship was a bit under-par. the welds, especially on the twist links which form the cross-members were rough and when you add the galvinizing to that, they are difficult to lay out flat prior to installation. the rough welds hang-up and you have have to do some "creative twisting" to get all the links into proper position. this problem was only in a few places. but, i can foresee some frustration if i have to find those kinks in the snow and with numb fingers. i discovered the problem when i laid the chains out on my garage floor as i was inspecting the chains the day i received them. this is May and so i can't say how they will perform this coming winter. i expect they will do well, but chains, by nature, are a tangled mess when you first pull them out. it should not have to be an extra struggle do to rough surfaces.

Received today (1/13/22) and carefully inspected. The chains appear to be well-made, and a quick test fit was successful. Live in north Georgia, so needing the chains is not likely--but good to have in the event an emergency occurs after a good snow that requires transportation.

eTrailer has asked me to review this product, which I purchased last year. Unfortunately, I have been fortunate and have not found myself in road conditions requiring the use of chains, and therefore I cannot attest to its quality or performance at this time. I keep them in a toolbag in the truck, along with the Multi-Arm Rubber adjusters I also purchased. I rate 5 star because they are still in new condition and show no signs of deterioration.

Very easy installation (watch the video on the etrailer website) and excellent fit on a 2010 Tundra. I plan to visit Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana in the winter and most routes have a few mountain passes.

This set is being used on front tires of a 31 hp tractor for snow plowing. Another two pair I use on my Tundra while working on steep, slippery logging roads. The locking cams are absolutely great. No more worries about having a chain come and tear off a brake line.

Looks good but I haven't used them yet. Good suggestions from etrailer on extra tensioners for them. Good videos on how to use them. Not looking forward to using them but we'll find out end of January how it goes.

Just completed fit-check of these chains on my two vehicles (2016 Toyota Tundra, P255/70R18, Michelin LTX MS2; 2010 Toyota Sequoia, P275/55R20 111S M+S, Bridgestone Dueler H/L) and all is good! Hardest part of installation was untangling the chains to lay out on the ground (that always is, for me!). Practice makes it easier. Thank you etrailer! Rolling a few revolutions and re-tightening chains IS important. Don't leave that step out. I'm going to add rubber tensioners (old-school, I know) just to be sure. Pics are of the 2010 Sequoia and 2016 Tundra.

Thank you e-trailer for shipping my order so fast. Received it quickly after ordering. I tried out the chains on my tires today and they seem to be okay. I wish the cross bar links were about a extra link wider, but I think they will do fine. I would have liked for the chain to set over the side of the tire side a little more than they do. Also I am not sure about the connecting link on the outside of the chain. It doesn't look all that secure, but having not used them yet they may be okay. I hope I never have to use them, but living in the country I wanted a set just in case I needed to travel in the snow and/or ice if it were an emergency. Thanks again e-trailer!!

They worked great all winter. We live at the bottom of a steep hill and it becomes a sheet of ice. With the v-bar chains on the back of my 4wd Tundra I rarely had to use 4wd. Where I live it is all 25mph and gravel roads, but the chains where loud at that speed. I never had them work loose, but in the 3 months I had them on I did have to retighten them about 8 times.

Truck chains for my Tundra TC2228SCAM are much heavier duty exactly what I was looking for. Excellent product, excellent service and arrived on delivery date. What more could you ask for.

Getting ready for winter, searched the web and local tire shops for tire chains for my 2019 Toyota Tundra. exactly as described, very very easy to install. i installed the chains (dry fit) in a couple of minutes. very very easy! there was some previous issues reported by other customers regarding the bags tearing. the bags are a little flimsy but had no issues returning the chains to the bag without damage to the bag after installation and removal. great quality I purchased 2 sets.

I generally do not provide reviews but ordering, processing, and receiving was seemless and I would recommend etrailer to anyone. Great to see such good customer service.

I bought these chains because of the low clearance between my tire sidewalls and the vehicle's front suspension. They worked great for alleviating this issue - there were no issues with clearance. The chains are well made, but they require patience to put on. Be sure that they're are 100% untwisted and laid out before attempting to install; I had a few links twisted the wrong direction (hard to see) and the chain would not stretch around the tire. Once properly and cleanly laid out the install went well. I installed these chains on 275/45/20 tires, and the fit was extremely tight - no need to thread the tensioner links through both eyelets. The rubber bungy barely stretched adequately to reach a suitable attach point - this is okay, just unexpected relative to the instructions packaged with the chains. Oh, be sure to have the vertical chain links 100% aligned in the MIDDLE of the tire before attempting to piece together the yellow sidewall chain on the outside. The chains are straightforward to install, but PLEASE practice in your garage before you need to do so in a snowy location on the side of a highway.

After trying unsuccessfully to locate tire chains for our 2015 Ford Explorer I turned to the Internet. The first company to come up on the Google search was etrailer.com. They had the chains I was looking for and shipped them the same day. I have not yet attempted to install them; however, they are just what I expected, based on past experience.

I hope I never have to use them but I tried putting them on for practice. Easy, they fit on my tires like a glove.

1/15/2024 I couldn’t go up my property, so on 1/17 I ordered this chain with the TCMA2 Rubber chain hook. On 1/22 I tried it was a beautiful climb, and decent, my driveway has a 17 degree slope. I try again next day with a glance of ice, NO Problem! A year later, same success! Love to have the right tool.

Seems to be heavy duty enough for me. I had lighter chains which cross links were unhooking but not breaking. Hope these will solve the problem.

My chains arrived yesterday. After unpacking them, I was impressed by the good looking and functional case they come in. I viewed the instruction video twice, and feel confident that my first real use will be easy. I am heading over the mountains of British Columbia this upcoming weekend, and have every expectation for our typical high-altitude winter conditions. I feel sure that my trusty F-450's slightly worn dually's drive tires will take almost anything in stride . . . (at 30 MPH ;-)

I've used Titan cam style v bar chains in the past and am purchasing the again. That's probably enough said about the product. etrailer delivered these quickly, as always. The chains themselves are pretty good, but not perfect. The chains look nice when new, but the finish wore off immediately on the first use, which led to rust immediately. Maybe that's expected? The storage bag is fine for shipping, but not great for storing, so have a plan for that. My biggest issue is that the cam tightening wrench that came with the chains is really soft metal and twisted badly on the first install (not much pressure IMO). I do't trust it now as it will likely break...it's twisted bad. I also ordered the TCTH3 wrench with the chains as it was listed as an accessory. The flat doesn't fit into the cams, it's too big. Not good to figure this out in the field. Luckily I had two sets of chains so I was able to use the wrench from the other set to remove the chains. To summarize, the chains themselves work fine as chains, just wish they had a better finish. The cam wrench is terrible...not sure what to do about that yet. The accessory wrench doesn't fit the cams.

I have used the chains twice in deep snow and they held up and worked well.

Used them for the first time last week. They are Very easy to install. I should have done it once in good weather rather than my first time being in the snow. First one took me a few minutes to figure out but once I did, the go on and come off easily and have great traction. I’m thoroughly sold on these chains

After having these for a full winter season, I can say that they were well worth the purchase. 4.5 stars. Traction was supreme, and ease of install and removal is everything they say - awesome! Removed a star only because the plastic clips that route the little tensioning chain were quickly broken, and the rubber end is marginal. However when installed on my 2wd truck, I pulled a small box trailer up and down a very icy and steep slope (dirt road at scout camp) - without a hint of wheelspin. Same area immediately before chain install had cars and 4wd trucks stuck on a gentle grade. These are not smooth at all on pavement, but a lifesaver when needed.

Pewag PWE2228SC chains are nothing fancy. Good old traditional design. Came in a canvas bag with no closure. Successfully mounted them on P165/70R17 tires. Have not tested them in real-life snowy conditions. After chains are on, should drive vehicle 1/4 to 1/2 tire revolution, then tighten chain hooks further. Adding additional tension cords almost a must. Picture shows chain loosening at 6 o'clock and 7 o'clock positions after driving only a few feet. Consider adding threaded chain link to tie down extra free links to prevent them from flopping around when driving. Flopping chains are know to cut brake and ABS lines and cause other damage to the vehicle, especially if chains are installed on front tires. Thule XG12 Pro may be a better choice for front tires, because nothing flops around on the medial side of chains.

Purchased for 2016 Sprinter 4WD 140. Very pleased. Works well here in Pacific NW snow and ice. Heavy chain, but installs easy enough. Will need designated storage space. Great service and delivery.

Fits perfect and easy to install!!

Shipping was extremely fast , received my order in 2 days . Chains are high quality and should last a long time. Bought these for all 4 tires of my ‘01 Ford F-350 , tires are BFG All Terrains Lt285-75-R16. They fit perfectly, will probably be cutting 2 links off of the backside where the two ends hook together. The chains came.2 per sack with a cam tightening tool in each sack. I modified the tool to make it easier to use when your hands are frozen.
