Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2"
Came 2 days early, didn't take my money till they ship it. Plus I never like to order anything online because I'm afraid it won't fit. But they said it would an it did( 2016 chevy traverse). Also it says 45 mins to install. Sounds About right 10 mins asking the wife an kids to help hold it up with no luck, 10 mins looking for my tools 18mm & 3/4 wrench,10 mins looking at the picture of the instructions because what GUY really reads it? lol, 10 mins putting it on by myself laying on my back in the driveway using my leg to hold it up & 5 mins putting on 1 bolt by the muffler because I didn't read the instructions an lower the muffler out of my way hahahah. P.s is you have soft hands I suggest wearing gloves an waiting for the muffler to cool off because i didn't ??. But all in all it was easy & fast to put on even if your by yourself. Definitely ordering again if I need anything for her car. Thanks etrailer
The instructions were spot on The videos were extremely helpful Price was great, and buying the trailer hitch, wiring harness, and fuse together as a package made the project easy. I would not hesitate to do that again when necessary.

You need to trim the rear splashguard but the instructions tell you how. You will need to be able to pop out the plastic panel fittings, and if any of them break, you will need some replacements for 10mm holes
I installed this trailer hitch on my 2018 Toyota Sienna. It is very well-built, and fit perfectly. Customer service was very responsive when I had some questions, and responded right away, both by phone and email. The instructions were very good, but could benefit from additional information regarding cutting the car’s rear trim panel. In addition to the cut that needs to be made for the trailer hitch bolting plate to go through on the driver’s side , it also needs to be cut around the main bar / receiver area. Instead of cutting a big slot for the main bar, I cut out around the receiver plates, and put drain holes in the ends that would otherwise collect water. One shortcut that I found was that I was able to move the exhaust out of the way far enough by just removing the rearmost hanger, rather than removing the two hangers as shown in the video.

The hitch was easy to install--just bolt it on. It was a bit of a wrestle to get it past the tailpipe but with a little prying, it slipped into place. All of the necessary bolts came with the kit.
Fit-up on our 2002 Sienna was excellent and painless. This is one of the easiest hitch installations I've ever done. The recommended 3-3/4" drop ball mount put us about 11" off the ground, which was way too low. We switched to a 2" drop mount, and that leveled our trailer almost perfectly (we were aiming for 14", and hit about 13-1/2").

This hitch was relatively simple to install. It would have been a bit easier with a helper for one or two of the steps, but I managed. It was time-consuming because I'd never taken my van apart in this way before, but the instructions and videos were clear about the steps required. Once this hitch receiver was installed, we installed our bike rack and hauled our bikes off to the trail to ride. We've taken a ton of trips since and have had no issues. We've not towed a trailer as we have had no reason to do that. Overall, this hitch receiver does what it says it will, is priced fairly, and a year in has held up great.
Preferred this hitch because it is up under the rear bumper cover. Takes some work to install but well worth it. Pull my motorcycle trailer everywhere

We needed a hitch for our Honda CRV Hybrid and this looked like it was perfect for it. Our local garage guy installed it and I was impressed with the way it looks. Primarily, this is for our E-bike rack which we won't be using until March. My expectation is the quality (as usual) of an etrailer item will be exceptional. It melds right into the sharp look of the vehicle, as evidenced by the picture.
This would be five stars but I had to remove it after having three bolts in and elongate a hole to get it to fit. It is extremely difficult to do that… the metal was thinner on my 2022 honda crv so I tried to drill it out but it was extremely tight. Most people would not have a stubby 90 degree drill to do this. Even with that it was a real pain. I would have returned it for another one but I needed to use the hitch with a trailer that next day. I’m very impressed by etrailer and their videos etc. I would probably still order from them again but id be cautious about some quality. Also I was a bit disappointed that the part that drops down to the 2” piece was only welded on one side. Thats a critical potential weak point.

Install easy enough and looks good. The fit was a little off - the right side mounting plate pushes on the exhaust hanger (why not add a notch there?) and the uprights squeeze the spare tire bay a little. As I tightened the bolts it all drew up but I wish there wasn't interference. It'd be cool if you linked to the step-drill needed (your store or another) so I could have just bought it at the same time. Instead I used small drill / file combo which was the worst part of the install...
The hitch was easy to install and over the last year has been rock solid. No complaints and I would absolutely order this hitch again if I need another trailer hitch.

Overall, the hitch is excellent. Only drawbacks are documented in the photos. Installation was not too complicated for a do it yourself install. Instructions/pictures were clear and understandable. We are very happy with the result and performance of the hitch and trailer wiring harness ordered from E-trailer. *Recommendations: 1. Paint the heads of the Grade 8 mounting bolts as they will rust over time. 2. Check the amount of ground clearance before ordering the type of receiver as different manufactures have alternate hook points = better ground clearance (dips, speed humps, curbs etc.) 3. Before torquing the mounting bolts, reattach the spare tire in its full up position. some wiggling or slight adjustment of hitch may be needed to fit spare tire into well with binding. The fit on our 2021 Honda pilot was Tight. 4. You may need to purchase an aftermarket "hands-Free tailgate sensor" if your SUV has one of these located under the rear bumper. The new hitch crosses the original factor sensor and doesn't register foot movement when trying use the "hands-free feature" attached is a screenshot of the cost and part number from the Honda dealership for the shortened "hands-Free" sensor. Overall great product and service. We would buy again.
Fit nicely. I had to chase the threads on two of the bolt holes to clear out some of the rust. Torquing the six bolts to 148 ft-lbs was a bit of challenge though for a DIY.

Other than having to cut and alter my custom dual exhaust outlets, the hitch fit like a glove and mounted easily. It hugs the bottom of my roll pan without hanging excessively low.
For the price and quality I have 0 complaints, bought this to pull around my boat and I’ve had no issues with bolts stretching as well as the paint quality dealing with salt water, would definitely purchase again if I ever needed to

I gave it a 3 because it did not fit as well as the video showed on my 1999 Jeep Cherokee XJ, the bolt holes on both sides did not match up exact, had to use a small sledge hammer to bang in past rear bumper, it was a really tight fit. I will need to drill or bore out the other bolt holes to get the remainder of the three bolts in. See photos below. Overall I happy with it. Built sturdy. I would still recommend this hitch, not all XJs’ are built equal.
This is my 3rd hitch from etrailer and another great transaction & install. Easily saves 2-3 times of what it would cost to have it done at a shop. The first 2 hitches were installed on newer vehicles, but this recent hitch was installed on a 1997 Jeep Cherokee. The online videos are a lifesaver! The weld nuts on the old Jeep were rusted really bad, but in the video they explain the best way to clean them out and it works. Their wiring kits are fool-proof & super easy to install. I'll continue to use etrailer for all my towing needs.

The hitch is well made. It's a littl stuggle installing all by yourself but got done. Here's the one bad part. There are (2) bolts that are installed from INSIDE the bumper. The engineering on how that is done is a joke. After about 45 minutes I got the first one in. I was not able to get the second one in at all. The wire that pulls it in came off & now it will be rattling around in there forever. I will add a little weld on that end of the hitch to the bumper to secure it. Would I buy it again? Probably but I would plan on welding the part that attaches to the bumper.
Fits great, easy install!!

I happened upon this website when looking for a hitch receiver for my 2013 Mazda CX-9. From Google, I clicked on a hitch receiver that did NOT fit my car, but etrailer.com has an option to check if the part fits your car by entering in make, model, year, so I did that and it guided me to this product and a few others. I selected this model as I didn't need a wiring harness for my intended use. I liked that I had free shipping as it's a heavy item, plus it arrived in 3 days. The same day I received the hitch receiver, I started to install it. I did run into one small issue. It was either with one of the provided bolts or the holes on the receiver itself. Either the bolt was not threaded correctly or the holes on the hitch receiver were JUST a hair too small, because it just would NOT go in like the rest. Either way, I was able to rethread the bolt and provide enough pressure to the hitch receiver to get it to catch. The thing I like most about this hitch receiver is that I didn't need to cut into the car itself for it to fit. Some vehicles require that, but for my CX-9 and this receiver, I was able to fit it without the need to cut anything out and still have easy access to the receiver. I'm really happy with the product and have already used it with a cargo carrier across several states. It seems this company is either really small or extremely customer service focused as each step of the way from purchase to delivery showed a picture and name of whoever was handling your product, which for some people is a big deal. Overall great product and company. Very pleased to finally have a hitch receiver on my car.
I purchase two different products and installed both, back to back. I did used a jack to lift one side, so it took about 45 minutes to finesse this one into/onto my Mazda CX-9. I needed a helper (wife) which made it much easier. This is for a bike rack. Ordered Friday and delivered Monday, fast, fast. Thank you.

Well made, well finished and heavy duty product! If you are even halfway handy, you can install this yourself. Like anything, fitting is exact.
Product was all there but arrived with shipping damage. Might want to think about how to keep the heavy items from moving in the shipping carton or protect the outside edges with cardboard or something. I'll touch up the paint but wanted to give some feedback, you guys seem pretty receptive to input. Other than that there was good communication through the whole process. Fast service. Thank you.

Ordering was a breeze. Delivery was quick. Installation went smoothly. Couldn’t be happier. I bought the unit for carrying bicycles so did not bother with the wiring harness.
Great so far. Recieved hitch but haven't installed it yet. But the product looks very well made and no damage from shipping.

Great product! The hitch fit perfectly. The only issue was rusted, dirty weld nuts on the Equinox. Ran a tap through, no problems. Looks good and is tucked out of the way.
Quality product and super fast processing and shipping. Very impressed overall. With the help of the installation videos, I was able to do it myself in less than hour. And saved $200 doing it myself! Would definitely recommend etrailer.com to anyone.
