Swagman Truck Bed Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - Fork Mount - 9-mm Skewer
I bought this bike rack because I didn't want to have to remove my bed cover every time I wanted to take our bikes on a trip. This rack works perfect because I can roll up my cover and this thing just clamps across the bed. Taking the front tire on and off is kind of time consuming but when I travel with my brother who has a hitch mount rack, it takes him just as long to unload his bike as it takes me to unload. The wheel mounts tighten easily and the bikes appear secure during long drives, so I don't worry about them coming loose. Of course, you'll want to wrap a bike chain around the bike and rack if you plan to leave them out to make sure no one can steal the bike (although it would be missing a wheel)
It worked well, but not without doing some "tweaking". When set down on the bed rails the locking pin would not line up with the hole in the bar so it took some filing on the hole to get it to work. Also the axle mounts would not set flat on the mounting pads so that also took some work with a file to get them to mount flat. Once I got all of that done it works fine.

Swagman XC2 Bike Rack for 2 bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
This is a well designed rack. Adding and removing bikes is quick & easy. Just set the bike on & slide the padded hook down onto the bike frame to secure it; no straps required. If only one bike is transported, it does not interfere with opening the trunk on our Tesla Model 3. With 2 bicycles the trunk cannot be opened. For 2 bikes the Swagman model that can tilt might be worth the extra 22 bucks. This rack uses a bolt in the receiver hitch instead of a pin. This locks it securely preventing it from moving in the hitch & rattling. It also requires a wrench to remove it, good for theft prevention but one more thing to keep track of. For storage on the vehicle the top bar folds down. For storage in the garage, the left & right bars fold up & you can hang it using one of the hooks.
So far so good. The rack wiggles a bit, but that is expected. I have it on my 2007 Corolla and I have hit 65+ on the highway with it and have not had a problem. I would recommend getting a locking pin. The one included is threaded, which aside from security, makes it harder to take the rack on and off. I would also look into a DIY way to secure the wheels better. I am using some bungee straps which do the job no problem. The two bikes I carry are at the racks capacity.

Swagman XTC2 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
I was sent additional mounting materials that don't correspond with my hitch or my bike rack. See the photo below. Are these materials for my Swagman STC2 Bike Rack Item #S64670?
Very stable and simple to use bike rack that works great with my road bike AND with my 29" Big Rippers. It makes loading and unloading the bikes a snap and they are safe and secure for traveling once loaded and secured. I have already logged over a thousand miles hauling bicycles with this rack and highly recommend it. I am a big fan of Yakima roof racks but, honestly, wish I would have went with this setup for my bikes from the beginning.

Softride Shuttle Pad Tailgate Pad for Full-Size Trucks - Up to 6 Bikes - 61" Wide
Doesn't seem to fit the 2024 Chevrolet High Country tailgate as the straps aren't long enough. Also, the padding doesn't go far enough down the outside of the tailgate. Could be because I have the factory bed protection which covers the top of the tailgate.
The product review/installation video helped me make my selection. I selected the full size pad for 2001 Silverado 1500. Installs easily, fits nicely, flap in pad is positioned for easy access to tailgate latch.

Hollywood Racks Truck Bed Bike Carrier - Fork Mount - Bolt On
Love this product! I built a great bike carrying system for my F-150 using two of these fork clamps. They are easy to install and extremely well made. No more tangled bikes and lots more room in the bed for other stuff! Best way to go for a nice bike rack system. Thanks, Phil T.
The Hollywood Racks Truck Bed Bike Carrier - Fork Mount - Bolt On, is just what I was looking for to be able to build a bike rack for carrying one of my bikes on my motorcycle. It was easy to mount and it holds my bike in place while riding on bumpy dirt roads, city streets, highways and even when I hit some twisty country roads. It's really easy to load and unload my bike when I get to where I want to ride. I use a velcro strap around the quick-release and the fork arm as an added safety as well as a couple tie-downs from my bike handlebars to my motorcycle passenger pegs to help distribute the weight on my rack. If you want to build your own DIY bike rack I totally recommend the Hollywood Racks Truck Bed Bike Carrier - Fork Mount - Bolt On.

Swagman Patrol Truck Bed Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - Fork Mount - 9-mm Skewer and 15-mm Thru-Axle
The quality of the rack is fantastic. Sadly the keys do not work on the Locking Quick Release Skewers. I've contacted Swagman about this and am waiting for a response.
Quite pleased with nearly everything regarding this rack. Setup was super easy right out of the box, loved that I didn't need any tools. Bikes feel very secure and I haven't noticed any shifting or movement while driving around. My only complaint is that it's possible for someone to remove (or steal) the locking skewers when there's no bike attached just by unscrewing the endcap. Even if the handle is locked in place, just unscrew the endcap and you can remove the whole locking mechanism. So...works fantastic when there's a bike to be hauled, but makes me uncomfortable when I just park the truck and walk away. Works great, could just be a bit more secure.

Swagman XTC4 Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
Rack is very sturdy and heavy duty. Instructions were terrible. Locking hitch pin would not thread correctly and ended up damaging it. Thankfully the threads on rack were fine and I was able to use the non-locking threaded pin. Would like a replacement locking pin ASAP
For the price, it's a good-quality, sturdy bike rack. I have used it about 5-7 times with no issues. I only used it for one adult and two kids' bikes, but I am sure it can handle four bikes as advertised. It's great that the rack folds upwards when it's not required.

Swagman Upright Bike Rack for 1 Bike - Roof Rack Crossbars - Frame Mount
Great product for the price. Pretty easy to set up. Only issue I have is my mountain bike, which is an XL frame with 27 inch wheels, is pushing the limits of the base. Wish this rack was just 4-5 inches longer that way you have the perfect overlap amount in the middle without pushing the current frame to the limits. With that said it does hold my bike just have to find the sweet spot. But this fits my son’s youth bike perfectly!
As always with products I buy from e-Trailer, this item is exactly as advertised and works perfectly. Easy assembly, I bought 2 but only installed one until I check the fit with my rooftop carrier.

Yakima BlockHead Single Bike Truck Bed Mounted Rack - Bolt-on - 9-mm Skewer
Have used the block head bike mounts by Yakima on trips of 800 to 1500 miles with no incident. Easy to mount the bikes and they have not released even on bumpy roads. Great product for my truck box and bikes are always in view. Easiest way I have found to transport our bikes
I ordered five (5) Yakima Blockhead Mounts for my trailer to carry bikes to include a tandem these worked great. etrailer fullfilled the order and shipped them quikly. I recommend etrailer to everyone :)

Swagman Chinook Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
Works for my fat tire bike. Once it's set up, it's easy to install and remove. I had to cut out some of the plastic cladding on the underside of my bumper on my 2014 Subaru Outback. Good value. I've had no issues.
GI love the Rack, it is easy for me to handle, (as a 89 yearold rider.), two bikes ride and fit very nicely. Like how it folds down, and how it folds to open the tailgate . Great quality for the money, I would highly recommend this rack

Kuat NV 2.0 Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount - Gunmetal Gray
This bike rack has worked well for our family of 4. It allows us to safely and securely carry all 4 bikes through the mountains of Colorado with our Hallmark Milner truck camper. Strong and durable rack that barely moves when driving. etrailer's customer service was outstanding. The rack was initially delayed and after one phone call to check status a warehouse manager quickly solved a minor issue and got the rack shipped. etrailer was fantastic in managing this transaction with extremely limited staffing. etrailer is the first place I check for anything recreation as I've never had anything but stellar service.
Excellent rack, a year later still in great condition. No movement at hitch when driving like other racks. Love the extra bar to work on bike in parking lot. Cracked a part on the rack when backing up accidentally hit it, I called the company and they immediately sent out new part no questions asked and rack is like new. Easy to access the drop and raise bar even with bikes on .A note that with larger mountain bikes only three really fit on the four rack without adjusting handle bars. Thanks to etrailer for stocking a great product and providing excellent post purchase service

Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes - 2" Hitches - Frame Mount
This rack is heavy, easy to assemble and has zero wobble. The reason I purchased this rack was due to the quality of the rack, but also my last experience with trailer. Great customer service, and if you have a question, it's pretty easy to get hold of a real person! I actually purchased this for an Ebike.
Excellent bike rack. Easy to put together. Fits perfect with the etrailer curt hitch. This is a heavy duty bike rack, which also means it heavy but still manageable. Using this for my Aventon Ebike.

Kuat Sherpa 2.0 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount - Gray
We love this bike rack for its ease of use and solid construction. Bikes are quick and easy to load in and lock down tight. The hitch-receiver tightening system works great for a wobble-free rack and the hinge and locking lever work smooth and solid. It looks nice too.
So after much research into bike racks, I decided on pulling the plug on the Kuat Sherpa 2.0. I've looked into the Kuat NV and other brands, but they were just too much for my needs. If you've got "regular" bikes and not the heavier eBikes, then this rack is perfect. I wanted a hitch rack that was user friendly and not overly complicated. I have a mixed bag of bikes and this rack can handle them all, from mountain bikes, street bikes, and BMX bikes. I like that this rack comes with an adapter piece for 20"-24" wheels. Assembly of the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 is really a no-brainer. I think it's only 4-5 bolts really. Everything else is ready to go. The anti-rattle hitch ball mechanism is simple to use with just a twist of the dial, easy. The tilt pedal/lever is also easy to access should you need to open your hatch, a solid "click" assures it's in place. So far, loving this rack. Fit and finish is superb. Thanks to Jerred and etrailer for answering my questions, always helpful.

Kuat Dirtbag Bike Rack - Fork Mount - Bolt On - 15 mm Thru-Axle Skewer
Cheap alternative compared to having to buy a 9mm thru axle mount for the utili-track in my Nissan Frontier AND THEN having to buy an adapter for that! For under $10 I bought some parts from a local hardware store and made this mount fit the track. It's sturdy, and high quality.
My Kuat DirtBag Bike Rack Application Nice product

Thule Insta-Gater Pro Truck Bed Bike Rack - 1 Bike
I was not sure this rack was right for me when I ordered it, but the Thule reputation convinced me, and I’m glad I pulled the trigger on it. This fits nicely in the bed of my truck, and secures my bike quite well. I have to drive about 25 miles via mountain roads to get to my paved trail…curvy roads with elevation changes…and I have zero worries about any calamities… For a single bike situation, it’s a great solution that keeps the bike in the bed, not on the back bumper.
Linda and I recently ordered two Aventon Pace 500 NextGen E-bikes from [bike store] in Madison, WI. Not wanting to just toss our expensive new bikes in the back of the p/u when they arrive next month we promptly ordered the Thule Instagator from etrailer. My prior experience with etrailer came as a recommendation from a friend. I was able to do quite a bit of the research on etrailers website, the demonstration video extremely helpful and we placed an order. The racks were in-stock, shipped promptly, etrailer providing a very nice tracking link that included pics of the staff involved in processing the order and a map of the route all the way to delivery. Absolutely 1st rate service. The racks showed up in perfect condition about two days after placing the order, exactly as promised. We are very pleased with etrailer, will most certainly be ordering from them again and recommend this company w/o reservation. Nice job etrailer!

Kuat NV 2.0 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount - Gunmetal Gray
Fantastic bike rack. Switch it between a Honda Ridgeline and a Subaru Outback Wilderness and it works perfectly. Accidentally lost the locking pin that secures the rack to the trailer hitch and when I inquired with Kurt about ordering a replacement lock keyed to match the locking cables on the rack and the Kuat rep sent one to me for free. (I removed the rack and left the lock sitting on my car bumper. Later that day I drove off and lost the lock on the highway).
Great bike rack. It is easy to install the hitch on a vehicle and to remove it. The Kuat NV 2.0 provides a smooth, gentle ride for road bikes and mountain bikes. Great purchase. Highly recommend.

Kuat NV 2.0 Base Bike Rack for 4 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount - Matte Black
This rack definitely has some pros and cons (as do most racks). A minor frustration is that despite ordering the rack and add-on at the same time, the keys don’t match so if locking three or more bikes you need two different keys (this has only really irritated me when it was raining). As other reviewers have mentioned, this thing is heavy. Neither my wife nor kids can lift it to put it on or get it off the car by themselves. The downside is that given the size of the rack it is not real convenient to just leave it on the car. When the rack is in the up position, it is impossible to get in the back so it is necessary to lower the rack each time you want to get in. The other downside is that the rack significantly cuts down on visibility when backing up. All that being said, the rack is rock solid and the bikes are very secure. The rack is great for extended trips. When loaded and tipped down, it is great to be able to open and access the back. The spacing of the bikes is great and I don’t have to spend 15 minutes figuring out how to slide four bikes in just the right spot to make them all fit as I did with my old rack. Best of all the bikes are only sustaining damage on the trail, not on the back of the car! Despite some minor annoyances, I highly recommend this rack. As for assembly, my 13 year old put it together by himself in about 20 minutes (I promised him i would include that fact).
We needed to move up from our Saris Bones 3 rack now that our youngest is on a big girl bike. We initially went for a budget platform rack which was (not surprisingly) subjected to a recall. After an incredible amount of research, I opted for the Kuat NV 2.0 Base. I took advantage of the etrailer price pledge program and was very satisfied with the etrailer staff who were very easy to deal with both on the phone and online. Following my order, etrailer inadvertently sent me the incorrect base model. The sent me the 1.25 inch instead of 2.0 inch model and as the shipping label covered the hitch size I only discovered this after opening and unpacking it (thereby having to repack and re-ship it). This inconvenience notwithstanding, etrailer was very apologetic, paid for the return shipping and sent out the correct 2.0 inch model. Unpacking and assembly was easy (the second time...and I learned the valuable lesson of taking photos of the unpacking in the event you need to repack it). You certainly get what you pay for with Kuat! The fit and finish are first rate and the rack's design, in my opinion, makes it the most intuitive, cleanest and best looking rack out there. I was considering the RockyMounts Split Rail 2+2 (similar design and athletics and a bit lighter) but I am so glad I went with Kuat. I mounted it on my 06 Pilot today in less than 5 minutes with my wife's help (though it can be accomplished solo), locked the pin and tightened the anti-rattle mechanism for a rock solid mount. All bikes fit on it like a dream (my 29er, wife's mountain bike and 2 kids mountain bikes...have not tried by road bike yet but I don't anticipate any issues). Very impressed with the rack and my etrailer experience.
Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2005 Ford F-150
Today on our 2005 Ford F-150 Super Cab, we'll be doing a test fit of the Thule T2 Pro platform-style 4-bike rack. That's part number TH9034-9036. I've already got it loaded up on the F-150 just to give you a good idea of what it looks like and how it's going to secure our bikes. It actually secures our bikes in 2 spots. We have this rear wheel strap going over our rear wheel. Then up here at the front, we have this large wheel hook going over our front wheel, putting down pressure into our front wheel cradle.
Saris Axis Tilting 2 Bike Rack Review - 2005 Ford F-150
Today on our 2005 Ford F-150 we will be test fitting a Saris Axis 2-Bike Rack that will fit both 1-1/4 and 2-inch hitches. Part number SA832. To start, we will slide the shank of the bike rack into the hitch. Next we line up the pin holes, taking our anti-rattle bolt and threading it through driver's side to passenger side. Next, tighten down the bolt using a wrench and secure it with a clip on the other side. With the bike rack in this position, ground clearance is about 17 inches. The closest point to the truck is about 6-1/2 inches and the overall length is about an additional 15 inches. Next we will loosen the thumb screws and move the arms towards the center mast.
Thule Vertex 4 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2005 Ford F-150
Today on our 2005 Ford F150 Super Crew Cab we'll be test fitting the Thule Vertex 4 Bike Rack for 1-1/4" and 2" inch hitches part number TH9029. Well begin our test fit by sliding the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of the hitch. Line up our pin holes and thread in our anti-round a bolt and tighten it down using a wrench. With the bike rack in this position it's going to give us a ground clearance of about 17" inches. The closest front 00:00:33 of the bike rack to the rear of our F150 is about 4" inches and over all we've added about 14" inches to the overall length of our vehicle. Pull the lever at the top of the mast to swing out our dual arms. With these out we've added about 43" to the overall length of our F150. If we pull the lever at the base of the bike rack we can tilt the bike rack away from the vehicle.
Thule Apex 4 Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2005 Ford F-150
Today on our 2005 Ford F150 Super Crew Cab, we'll be test fitting the Thule Apex 4 bike rack for inch and a quarter and two inch hitches, part number TH9025. To begin our test fit, we'll slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch. We'll allow the attached pin to fall into place and then use the hand knob on the shank to engage our anti rattle device and secure our bike rack to our vehicle. With the bike rack in this position its going to give us a ground clearance of about 17 inches. The closest point of the bike rack to the rear of our Ford is about 2 inches here at the hand knob and we've added about 13 inches to the overall length of our F150. We'll pull the lever at the base of the bike rack to allow it to tilt away from the vehicle. This is going to allow us to have full access to the bed of our truck by being able to fully open our tailgate.
Setting up the Thule Hitching Post Pro Bike Rack for 4 Bikes on your 2005 Ford F-150
Today on our 2005 Ford F150, we are going to be test fitting the Thule Hitching Post Pro folding and tilting four bike rack for inch and a quarter and two inch hitches, part number TH934XTR. To begin our test fit we'll slide the shank of the bike rack into the receiver tube of our hitch, line up our pin holes, thread in our anti rattle bolt and tighten it down with the wrench. In this position we'll have about 17 inches worth of ground clearance. The closest point of the rack to the back of our truck is about 8 inches away and overall we've only added about 18 inches to the length of our F150. Pulling the gold pin at the base of the center mast will allow us to tilt it away from our vehicle. As you can see this gives us full access to our tailgate.
SportRack Super EZ Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2005 Ford F-150
Today on our 2005 Ford F150 Super Crew Cab, we are going to be test fitting the Sport Rack Super EZ Platform style 2 bike rack for inch and a quarter and two inch hitches, part number SR2901LR. We'll begin our test fit by sliding the shank of our bike rack into the receiver tube of the hitch. We'll line up our pin hole and thread in our anti rattle bolt, tightening it down with the wrench and then installing the lock on the other side. The closest point of the bike rack to the rear of our vehicle is about 10 inches away and we've added about 31 inches to the overall length of our F150. We'll go ahead and pull the pins at the base of the bike rack to unfold the different parts including our center mast. Within this position, it's going to allow us to have full access to our tailgate. We'll raise up the center mast to make sure that all 3 pins are reinstalled.
