Best 1985 Dodge Ram Pickup Trailer Hitch Ball Mounts

Just received the curt trailer hitch receiver. Getting the tools out was the hardest part of the installation. Had it on and ready to go in 15 minutes. Delivery was fast and install was simple.

I ordered the D900 after purchasing a new truck that is to high for my enclosed equipment trailer (6x12) and dump trailer (6x10) to use a standard drop down hitch. The D900 drops down approximately 5 1/2" and solved this problem for me. It also is capable of rising as well which helps out some on steep inclines (driveways). It installs easily and the tri-ball for me was mandatory as both my trailers use different ball sizes. It was put into use immediately and has performed well to date. This hitch is very well made and appears to be quite durable. I also like how it extends my trailers out slightly farther than my previous set up which has allowed me a tighter radius when backing into tight spots.

I haven't used this hitch much over the last year that I've owned it but I've been completely satisfied every time I have. I'd recommend it to anyone who is looking for a"one stop" hitch. My experience with etrailer has been great, too, and I will be a customer for life as long as they continue to provide quality products at great prices.

Quality product however I should have read the description. I have no use for the huge drop down one. Oh well I will see if a buddy can use it

Just received ball mount yesterday. This ball mount is heavy duty with a quality feel. Fit and finish are impressive with durable coatings and tight tolerances. Allows me to tow my motorcycle trailer and cargo trailer with one ball mount (different ball sizes and heights for each trailer). I was worried that the 7” drop might be too low for my 2016 Ram 1500 with stock air suspension, but since installed, it looks good and I’m no longer concerned with possibly bottoming out during daily driving. Added the silencer pad upon initial install and haven’t heard any rattling. So far I’m overall impressed with this product.

Absolutely love this hitch!! I have a Ram 2500 Cummins Diesel so the 7" drop works great!! I towed my boat to the lake with it 2 days after revieving it and it worked flawlessly!! Last but not least....the stow away option is wonderful because my truck barely fits into my garage let alone having a hitch sticking out as well. So this was the only way to go unless I wanted to remove my hitch after every use!! Couldn't be happier and would definately recommend!!

Tow infrequently; got new(to us) 2015 RAM 2500 pick up to tow our 38’ touring travel trailer. Have a HD WD hitch & adjustable sway control hitch set up we use for this trailer, but needed a drop hitch for our smaller Travel trailer& misc use haul trailer,,,,both much lighter & do not require the sway control set up. This drop hitch & ball fit the bill perfectly as the needed drop did not provide suffice t ground clearances to utilize the WD hitch mount setup (which was not needed) for those smaller loads. E-trailer worked w us to get the product we needed & an option that was inexpenve but sufficiently rated to pull our smaller trailers! Very happy our results !

Not that many non-adjustable option for a 12” drop and this one is the best! Love the cushion and it’s very strong. I put that to the test today when I got rear ended with it in the back of my truck. This thing saved the back of my Ram. Came right back to etrailer and ordered a new one!

Excellent quality, very nice finish, well built, should hold up well. Installed on my 2017 Ram. Took longer to lower and replace tire than it did to install hitch. Would recommend this hitch to anyone.

2008 Dodge Ram 1500 short bed. Backed it on some ramps, no need to drop the spare tire. Took about an hour to install. I work for JDog junk removal and hauling, so I was able to test the Hitch with several trailer loads . It works as discribed. . .

This hitch setup is top notch! Very heavy duty. I went with this setup over cheaper similar options because those other 3 piece options that are similar just seemed clunky and held together by a lot pins with lose tolerances (IE recipe for wiggling and rattling), not to mention multiple stress points. This B&W unit is sleek and solid, no wiggling around, and tucks up out of the way nicely when not in use...which is more handy than you would think! We are using this on a 2017 Dodge Ram 1500 Big Horn with factory air suspension.

I love this hitch! My new Dodge sits quite a bit higher than my old truck so none of my old hitches work. I was able to replace all of my old hitches with this one. It's good and sturdy, you don't have to worry about a ball nut backing off and getting loose like I have had happen with others. And it's so simple to change between ball sizes and trailer heights, I wish I had one of these years ago!

I had to take trip with my new Ram 1500 Bighorn and towing my utility trailer with my old hitch wasn't having my trailer level. These items made it level and had no issues at all. Thank you, Joe

Ultra heavy duty ball mount . Hooked up tonight to a New Holland Roll Belt 560 round baler on a Ram 3500 with a tongue weight of 1900 lbs. Pulled like a dream !!!!

It arrived very quickly and looks great on my new truck. I'll have more peace of mind towing my trailer with this instead of my old mount

Really like the hitch. Changes ball size easily and plenty sturdy. Only thing I wish I did different is get the 2 1/2” shank instead of the 2” for my Ram 2500 Cummins. I bought the hitch so it would also fit my son’s Ram 1500. I have to use a 2” to 2 1/2” sleeve and it’s a little sloppy. No fault of the hitch though.

Great product,i have stock ram 2500 that sits highier than other pick ups,and couse that I was looking for adjustable hitch. I have pulled 14,000lb trailer without any problems. The adjustment are great so u can excacly set ur height to trailer. I would recomend this to everyone

Great hitch’s. Very heavy duty and e trailer is wonderful to work with. Ordered wrong size no problem with return replacement sent out the next day. I should’ve read the sizes. Lol

This is one solid hitch. Bought the hitch to pull about 5000 lbs. there's no doubt in my mind that it can handle it.

Excellent product and easy install on my Ram Express. I have been pulling a 33' travel trailer with no issues. You can't go wrong with this product.

First of all, the products you find at etrailer are not your garden variety, home depot kind of fair. Much higher quality and grade/weight ratings. So to be able to get hard to find items and then by orderring at least 100$ worth of stuff also get it delivered free in 4 days, is awesome. The prices are incredible too.

Hitch is great. The 8" drop on a 2017 Ram 4X4 with 6 inch lift kit is perfect.

Received it today. I have towed for all my life. Know quality when I see it. Solid metal, should get many yearS use out of this. 8 inch drop is perfect for my Dodge Ram 2500. My utility trailer sits perfect level. More than pleased with the quality.

Very happy with this ball mount - provides just the amount of drop we required for a level tow of our GeoPro travel trailer by our RAM2500. Plus, the extra length not only allows a tighter turning radius, but also allows us to lower the truck tailgate without having to detach the trailer. Huge improvement on all accounts for us compared to our prior setup. The product is well built and I'm confident will provide us years of good use.
