I'm glad there was this replacement cover, so I didn't have to redo the whole vent. It fit perfectly and your DIY video is perfect. It would be nice if the cover were sold with a strip of the rubber seal that goes around the metal vent base. My original strip has a big dent in it where the original hardware pushed down on it.

Our hunt club has 2 pit blinds that are used for waterfowl hunting. Each blind is essentially a concrete box with walls, floor and top 4 inches thick and dimensions of 12'x5'x5'. Each blind is buried to a depth of 5 foot to where the top is flush with ground level. Access is through the top using 24 inch wide manhole lids that are made of high density plastic. The cooler air inside of the blinds clashing with warmer air absorbed by the concrete and manhole lids at ground level caused condensation that made the inside damp and smelly. We only hunt 3 months each year, so needed a vent solution for the other 9 months the blinds were not in use. We also needed something that could be powered by DC voltage from a solar panel due to the remote location. In July 2015 we installed each fan into a manhole cover and used water-tight conduit and electrical boxes to run the wiring from the solar panel to each fan. Great solution! Once enough daylight hits the solar panel the fan blades start moving and run constantly until sundown. Will see how long these things last but so far so good

Installed this vent into my Haulmark Transport 6'x12' enclosed trailer. Installation was easy, I cut a 14.25" x 14.25" inch hole between two crossmembers in the roof and dropped it in place. Because the roof on this enclosed trailer is so thin, I used a piece of 3/8" plywood so sandwich between the interior garnish and actual vent. I cut the same size hole into the plywood and left a 2" lip all around. I use 28 #8 x 5/8" stainless screws to hold it in place, pre-drilled with 1/8" bit. I then used roofing tar to seal the vent and put masking tape all around, leave 1" from the flange to ensure good coverage. I then removed the masking tape, leaving nice clean lines. Interior garnish is held in place by #8 x 3/8" galvanized screws. Huge kudos to etrailer for carrying such awesome products for great low prices and offering super cheap shipping to Canada!

I have two of these installed in our stepvan - they were one of the first things we installed during the build process, and thank goodness we did because they kept us cooler during the summer build. Easy to use, the multiple-fan settings are nice, and the exhaust feature can pull a lot of air. We don't have AC, so these fans make a huge difference in pulling out hot air and replacing with outside air. Great service from etrailer - I ordered the wrong fan the first time and they were great to work with in getting another shipped out to me.

Installed on a SxS utv roof for ventilation on warmer days. It gives a much more comfortable ride. Very glad I took the time to install it.

A great solution to increase the air flow in my UTV. 2024 RZR. I removed the screen to increase more air flow. I think this increases air flow twice as much. Easy install!!!!! I placed it on the roof.

Bought this to replace original bath fan (Maxxair) when the raising mechanism broke. I ordered it from etrailer on a Wednesday, and it was delivered on Friday....super fast delivery. Easy install, and I think we will really like it's features (i.e. 10 speed reversible fan, rain proof cover).

Delivered as promised in fine shape. MaxxFan fit perfectly in existing 14X14 opening. Simple install and is functioning as designed.

This fan was great. I had an issue initially with the motherboard and the company replaced it ASAP at no charge. Really good customer service and an excellent fan!.

The cover came very quickly and securely in the mail, very durable, well constructed and stream-lined. Installed fairly easily with your on line installation Tudors. Unfortunately my base has a different type hinge, so a few minor challenges, but for the most part doable. I still need to find a friction clip to secure my top to the actuator mechanism, but hopefully I can find it locally. Our Arizona sun destroys most plastics as our original cover had failed in about five years. I am very pleased with my new cover top, looking to it meeting and exceeding our needs!

The replacement covers are great.

Product had to be refitted for 2012 Coachman. Concerned that the flimsy flap on the inside will not hold up over time. sun baking down on the unit may be an issue....of course looks good now, but still product quality (light flimsy material) may be an issue. Again, looks good now...and trust it will hold up. Will advise of any issues.

The latches on the old vent had broken off because they had become brittle. The new vent works fine and looks good on my trailer.

I just installed this vent less than a week ago. I’m just hoping the metal vent versus the plastic one I originally had on the trailer will hold up to the weather longer.Only time will tell though. The edges of the metal around the roof flange are razor sharp. I cut my hands three or four place's. If there’s any way the factory can round these edges off better so they’re not quite as sharp.

The Ventline Ventadome was a nice upgrade to the plastic-topped roof vent I had on previously (which had a large crack in it). Super happy with the perfect fit and it opens very smoothly. Our pop-top trailer is aluminum so it blended in nicely.

I love Etrailer, they have everyday parts as well as hard to find ones. I've ordered parts a couple of times , delivery is always spot on and George is very helpful. The butterfly vent I ordered fit exactly. Same holes no drilling.

These butterfly vents were replacements on a 1994 horse trailer that we are refurbishing. The old ones were solid rust and couldn't be saved. Though today's vents aren't made as large as the old ones, we can make them work and are good quality for this job without a huge investment. We're waiting to install until after we repaint the outside of the trailer so no photos at this time. Fast shipping was also a plus. Thanks etrailer!!

The attachment for the hinge that pushes the skylight open and closed is a cheap bit of plastic, so this winter the skylight took some wind and eventually sent that piece and the skylight flying. Fortunately, the base is screwed in so that was still available for reattaching and the skylight itself was not broken. Anyway, it’s jury rigged and still functional. Better than the original I guess.

Installation was more difficult than I expected, mostly due to rust and deteriorating plastic of the original vent. But I was able to get this installed on our 1999 Aerolite 21RBH travel trailer and it's working just as expected. The instructions were clear enough that once I had the old stuff out, this installed cleanly. I may need another one.

It was very easy to install and it is a lot biffier than the one I replaced.

REFRIGERATOR VENT COVER WAS SUPPOSED TO FIT MY MODEL. I HAD TO MODIFY IT TO MAKE IT FIT.

Hello etrailer! I dont always write reviews as services can be variable and the reason i dont. That said, etrailer ...nailed it ....again. I built out a pull through snowmobile trailer with beds, heaters, etc into a very comfortable all weather rig. Etrailer supported me then and again for our little Nash. Fan installation is very straightforward. Perfect fit and looks and works great. Hardest part was removing old caulk - plastic scraper and patience worked well for me.JUST TAKE YOUR TIME.

This roof vent is a real game changer for us. It allows us to open and vent our teardrop, even in the rain. Design is sleek. Lock works well. Fan is excellent and quiet.

Excellent, powerful fan & my second Maxx Fan purchase in total. Consistently great products. Shipping box was damaged & there were some smudges on the top of the fan, but... it's not like anyone is going to be looking at the top of it anyway & nothing inside was damaged, so all's well that ends well. Definitely a fan of the white top over the more popular "smoke" color for a smidge less heat absorbtion. Also glad that the manual fans continue to be offered as the remote-capable alternatives hardly seem worth the upcharge in situations where the fan is within reach.

After many months of fretting over cutting into the roof of my new van, and waiting for the rainy season to end, I found the installation very easy, and the operation is great. We're currently on a road trip, and the MaxxAir has made camping much more comfortable, and it even improves air circulation while driving with the vent open. it's very quiet at low speed and no leaks in even the heaviest rain.

Delivery was great as always. Install very easy to my ambulance/camper conversion. It was my first ceiling vent and later found I underestimated the air flow I would want in the box. Since then I have removed this to move it to the shower/bathroom where it will work best for this application. Purchased the MaxxFan Plus w/ 12V Fan, Thermostat, and Remote - Powered Lift - 10 Speed(MA00-04500K) and FanMate.

I am happy with this fan in my Ford Transit Connect. It is a standard height SWB Transit so I didn't feel I needed a more powerful fan. I like the built in light. I need this to fit in my garage so this fit the bill for a reasonable price. I will be running it off a portable power station and solar to charge the power bank. My van already had a popup vent installed so this should move some air through nicely. The installation after watching a few videos went smooth and took a few hours. I cut the roof hole, put down butyl tape and self leveling lap sealant. My roof is thinner so I did not need to use the middle extension piece. I did use my own 1" self taping screws. I would say I have moderate skills with tools and measuring. My electrical skills are minimal but I did not have any issues with this. Just put it in this morning so I haven't camped with it yet.
