I just installed this vent less than a week ago. I’m just hoping the metal vent versus the plastic one I originally had on the trailer will hold up to the weather longer.Only time will tell though. The edges of the metal around the roof flange are razor sharp. I cut my hands three or four place's. If there’s any way the factory can round these edges off better so they’re not quite as sharp.

The Ventline Ventadome was a nice upgrade to the plastic-topped roof vent I had on previously (which had a large crack in it). Super happy with the perfect fit and it opens very smoothly. Our pop-top trailer is aluminum so it blended in nicely.

I'm glad there was this replacement cover, so I didn't have to redo the whole vent. It fit perfectly and your DIY video is perfect. It would be nice if the cover were sold with a strip of the rubber seal that goes around the metal vent base. My original strip has a big dent in it where the original hardware pushed down on it.

Bought this to replace original bath fan (Maxxair) when the raising mechanism broke. I ordered it from etrailer on a Wednesday, and it was delivered on Friday....super fast delivery. Easy install, and I think we will really like it's features (i.e. 10 speed reversible fan, rain proof cover).

Ventline Ventadome Roof Vent 14 1/4X14 1/4. Shipping was prompt, product arrived intact. Had to get the #10 stainless screws to install (expected them to be included) plus the butyl tape and lap sealant which I knew from the description I'd need to buy seperately. The install went without any issues. I was expecting it to fit with no trimming but ended up needing to trim each corner on my 14 1/2 inch opening. My roof thickness was right at 1 inch so needed to trim down the trim strip. How will it do in a driving rain? To be continued.....

This vent is well made and assembly was very easy. Installed with a liberal bead of flex seal caulk and flex seal aerosol as final sealant.

Fan installation is very straightforward. Perfect fit and looks and works great. Hardest part was removing old caulk - plastic scraper and patience worked well for me.JUST TAKE YOUR TIME.

This roof vent is a real game changer for us. It allows us to open and vent our teardrop, even in the rain. Design is sleek. Lock works well. Fan is excellent and quiet.

I purchased this to replace a faulty one I’d installed earlier. The previous one (same model) was only installed within the past month and never opened (vent on roof) because it rained every day. I was able to install during a few hours of dry weather. Was on a long road trip and when I returned home I discovered there was no vent cap (white plastic top that opens). Upon examination, the hinge spot welds had broken at the hinge allowing the cap to be a donation to I-84 either Washington, Oregon, Idaho, or Utah. I didn’t notice until we arrived home. We did a marathon drive from the USA/Canadian border to Utah, basically stopping for fuel. I’d give it 4 stars as I’m waiting to see how it works out. Installed this new one today. Fairly easy project. Pic is the frame that had the spot welds break.

This was an exact replacement for my broken roof vent. I watched the videos available on the website and felt pretty good about swapping it myself. It arrives today. I took out the old one and put in the new one in about 30 minutes total. The roof vent install kit made it easy to ensure it was water tight.

I have two of these installed in our stepvan - they were one of the first things we installed during the build process, and thank goodness we did because they kept us cooler during the summer build. Easy to use, the multiple-fan settings are nice, and the exhaust feature can pull a lot of air. We don't have AC, so these fans make a huge difference in pulling out hot air and replacing with outside air. Great service from etrailer - I ordered the wrong fan the first time and they were great to work with in getting another shipped out to me.

The cover came very quickly and securely in the mail, very durable, well constructed and stream-lined. Installed fairly easily with your on line installation Tudors. Unfortunately my base has a different type hinge, so a few minor challenges, but for the most part doable. I still need to find a friction clip to secure my top to the actuator mechanism, but hopefully I can find it locally. Our Arizona sun destroys most plastics as our original cover had failed in about five years. I am very pleased with my new cover top, looking to it meeting and exceeding our needs!

The replacement covers are great.

My order arrived more quickly than I expected and in good condition. The included single piece of paper (instructions) are absolutely useless. If you haven't done this before, watch a video or two before you start. My vent now works and I'm a happy camper. etrailer came through again!

This fan has worked great for my motor home. If you need a stronger breeze, this may not be the fan for you.

Installed this vent into my Haulmark Transport 6'x12' enclosed trailer. Installation was easy, I cut a 14.25" x 14.25" inch hole between two crossmembers in the roof and dropped it in place. Because the roof on this enclosed trailer is so thin, I used a piece of 3/8" plywood so sandwich between the interior garnish and actual vent. I cut the same size hole into the plywood and left a 2" lip all around. I use 28 #8 x 5/8" stainless screws to hold it in place, pre-drilled with 1/8" bit. I then used roofing tar to seal the vent and put masking tape all around, leave 1" from the flange to ensure good coverage. I then removed the masking tape, leaving nice clean lines. Interior garnish is held in place by #8 x 3/8" galvanized screws. Huge kudos to etrailer for carrying such awesome products for great low prices and offering super cheap shipping to Canada!

I went to a local trailer parts store and they said they don't make the correct sized vent dome for my trailer. I was really bummed out. Then I checked with etrailer and they said they have the part that would likely fit. Low and behold, it was an exact fit! etrailer is the best!

Arrived quickly and was easy to install.

I have a 16ft 1972 Brougham travel trailer,and my old vent lid disintegrated.I wasn't sure which vent lid to get.I measured the square hole on the roof and it is 13 inches square. I also needed to be sure of the hinge.The hinge portion on the vent cover is 9 inches.After I removed the screws from the vent lid raising mechanism, and disconnected it from the vent lid rail,I went up top,and opened up one side of the rolled metal hinge.Then the roof vent lid slides off to one side.Then you just slide the new roof vent lid onto the hinge,and bend down the tab to secure it.You then reattach the mechanism inside the trailer.Its actually very easy to do,with just a Phillips and straight slot screwdriver. I attached photos of what remained after my lid was blown off completely which shows the hinge and lifting rail that come with a new roof vent cover attached.I also showed a close up of the hinge and the little tab that is bent in on both sides to keep the lid from sliding sideways. Finally I have pics of the new lid installed.I was happy with this product,and didn't realize you could just replace the vent lid so easily.

Delivery was great as always. Install very easy to my ambulance/camper conversion. It was my first ceiling vent and later found I underestimated the air flow I would want in the box. Since then I have removed this to move it to the shower/bathroom where it will work best for this application. Purchased the MaxxFan Plus w/ 12V Fan, Thermostat, and Remote - Powered Lift - 10 Speed(MA00-04500K) and FanMate.

I am happy with this fan in my Ford Transit Connect. It is a standard height SWB Transit so I didn't feel I needed a more powerful fan. I like the built in light. I need this to fit in my garage so this fit the bill for a reasonable price. I will be running it off a portable power station and solar to charge the power bank. My van already had a popup vent installed so this should move some air through nicely. The installation after watching a few videos went smooth and took a few hours. I cut the roof hole, put down butyl tape and self leveling lap sealant. My roof is thinner so I did not need to use the middle extension piece. I did use my own 1" self taping screws. I would say I have moderate skills with tools and measuring. My electrical skills are minimal but I did not have any issues with this. Just put it in this morning so I haven't camped with it yet.

Delivered as promised in fine shape. MaxxFan fit perfectly in existing 14X14 opening. Simple install and is functioning as designed.

This fan was great. I had an issue initially with the motherboard and the company replaced it ASAP at no charge. Really good customer service and an excellent fan!.

Excellent, powerful fan & my second Maxx Fan purchase in total. Consistently great products. Shipping box was damaged & there were some smudges on the top of the fan, but... it's not like anyone is going to be looking at the top of it anyway & nothing inside was damaged, so all's well that ends well. Definitely a fan of the white top over the more popular "smoke" color for a smidge less heat absorbtion. Also glad that the manual fans continue to be offered as the remote-capable alternatives hardly seem worth the upcharge in situations where the fan is within reach.

After many months of fretting over cutting into the roof of my new van, and waiting for the rainy season to end, I found the installation very easy, and the operation is great. We're currently on a road trip, and the MaxxAir has made camping much more comfortable, and it even improves air circulation while driving with the vent open. it's very quiet at low speed and no leaks in even the heaviest rain.

Vent was easy to install, really didn't need the instructions. I would have appreciated a template for the hole though. That way I can just throw the template up and cut along it. A recommendation to reinforce the underside with something (I used 2x2s) might be helpful as well. You do say to align it with a joist, but who's really going to have multiple joists within 14 1/2" from each other? Otherwise, it looks great. I figured you have multiple images of the vent itself so I figured an image of how I reinforced it would be the most helpful for future installers. Thank you. Aaron

Product material and build is solid. Easy to install. I like the smoke colored cover, lets in the right amount of sun (we dry camp in the Southwest a lot). The fit between screen and frame with the open/close knob was off by about 1/4 inch in depth. Was able to adjust the knob mounting position down so as to insure a tight fit between screen and beauty ring. We have an eighteen-year-old rig, so it is challenging to find replacement parts that fit as original. But it fits great now! great web site - easy to drill down to appropriate parts. Thanks again.

Very nice addition to my Seismic. Should have came already with the trailer since the trailer is $$$$$. The remote is crazy BIG and its wall mount cradle is not design for RV use. Leave the remote in the wall mount cradle while in transport will soon produce a ejected/broken remote :(

Still good after a year, no issues. Controller batteries for remote seem to last about a year

A bit pricey, but quieter and moves more air than our factory installed fan.

Works great before it failed! Seems the fan is not sealed . Moisture gets on the control pad and on circuit board, poof dead. Needed new circuit board and new touch pad in less than a year . But does work well when it works
