Can 11/32 Hose or Fittings be Used with 3/8 Inch Transmission Lines on a 2009 GMC Savanna 2500
Question:
Have a 2009 GMC Savana 2500 4.8L 4L80E Transmission that appears to have 3/8inch lines. Question is if its ok to run a 11/32inch cooler/hose with this vehicle or will it be a problem longterm with the bottleneck as miniscule as it is?

Expert Reply:
We are talking about 3 hundredths of an inch and a short distance using the hose included with many of the transmission coolers that we carry. The slightly smaller size should not be a problem. The most popular cooler for the 2009 GMC Savanna is # D13503. I have included a link to a video showing an installation and a link to our help article on coolers for you.
Using optional fitting # D13035 would allow installation without having to cut and flare lines.
