How Far Past the Rear Bumper Does Curt Trailer Hitch Stick Out on a 2015 Acura MDX
Question:
How far does the hitch stick out PAST the rear bumper?? I presume the hitch comes with the mounting bolts?

When we installed Curt trailer hitch # C13146 on a 2014 Acura MDX the face of the hitch receiver has almost flush with the back of the bumper, see photo. It stuck out maybe 1/2 an inch. This should keep your shins bruise-free. I have bumped into hitches before and it does hurt. This one doesn't really stick out far enough to be a problem.
The hitch does come with the mounting hardware.
If you plan on doing some towing I recommend etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It includes 2 ball mounts, 2 balls, a hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag. For trailer wiring use # 118628. For the wiring it may be necessary to see a local Acura dealer for a relay. The relay is needed to activate the tow package wiring circuit.
